Safari with no worries
My friend and I went on a 10 days Safari, 6 days in Zanaibar between Sept. 21st and Oct.6th of 2014. I must have surveyed dozens of Safari suppliers and Deo from Earthlife Expedition immediately stood out from the crowd. He was extremely helpful throughout the process, sincerely concerned about providing us the best experience possible and very cordial and professional. Throughout the communication, he was responsive, had ample advice and worked within our budget. He was honest and open about what he can and cannot provide and always offered alternatives if he thought other arrangements or routes were preferable for a better experience. We are very happy with our decision to go with Earthlife and this decision was only reinforced by the amazing Safari we had. Our guide and driver was professional, warm and made sure we are comfortable throughout the journey. He knew the parks and the animals habits very well which provided us with excellent sighting and many exciting moments. Working with a smaller company you really get a personal touch and you know your experience is extremely important to them. Earthlife was everything we could expect from a company providing a once in a lifetime experience. We enjoyed every minute of it!

Great safari with a great operator
I just got back from Africa a few days ago and would like to share my experience. We traveled for 10 days in the national parks, and went to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Central and North Serengeti, Lake Natron And Tarangire Park. After all that we went to Zanzibar for some relaxation :)
My experience with Earth life expeditions and Deo was absolutely amazing. I have only superlatives to say about the establishment. This company is a smaller one, which gives you the benefit of enjoying a personal, flexible costume made trip, in terms of budget as well as any other preferences.
Deo and the company accommodates their clients to full meaning of the word. We were recommended Deo as well, and he didn't disappoint us one bit.
I would also like to recommend Moison, the safari guide that accompanied us. He was very experienced, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. It was very obvious that all the other guides know him well, and that he knows every dirt road in the national parks, all the good spots to find the animals and his mind was always set to make sure we are happy and satisfied. In the safari you get to spend many many hours with the guide, therefore having the right person for the job is a highly crucial part of having a successful safari, and we defiantly did!

Beyond expectations
We have booked a safari holiday for my wife and myself. As our requests were very specifics and the duration was longer than the regular trips ,the firm tailor made every detail to fit our demands. We had 18 days of pure enjoyment, visiting all national parks we have specified (Arusha ,central and north serengeti, stayed on the Mara for the crossings (saw 5 crossings) and later drove to Natron and tarangire.
Our guide and driver was a real pro and very nice, addressing all our requests and needs , has vast knowledge of the country , the wild life and vegetation .Erasto has the great skill of spotting animals, identifying them and tell you about their life and habitat. All his explanations were supported with books which were available for us. Being photographers we are very demanding and Erasto our guide was experienced enough to identify our needs and requests. Accomodations were good and in one case when he found out that we were not happy he made , with the support of the firm owner , Deo big efforts to find at the last moment a new and upgraded lodge for us. The firm is small and young which allows them to be flexible to satisfy all our needs and denands. All their drivers/ guides and we have met three of them are people with big experience, vast knowledge and good contacts with their coleagues which helps a lot when you are out there in the wilderness.we were stuck twice in mud and sand and Erasto showed skills in addressing this special situation in no time. The vehicle was a long brand new 6 seater fully equipped Toyota Land cruiser with open roof, fridge charging sockets and so on.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a great safari and game drives enjoying what this wonderfull country has to offer this firm is the right partner for you. We intend to return 2/2016 for the calving season and for sure will go for Earthlife Expeditions again.

above all expectations and memories for life
our contact with Deo the general manager of Earthlife started over the internet and since the begining the communication was fast and clear. we were a group of 5 including 2 children in the age of 12 and 13. we had a lot of questions and we got explenations to all of them. we spent 8 nights and days safariing in all major parks in Tanzania such as serengeti, ngorongoro and lake manyara. thanks to Earthlife and the well experienced guide Zadock, we were able to see a lot of animals including the big 4 ( no rhinos).
accomodation was very good. the children were very excited and happy.
we thank Deo and his team. we will not forget you tanzania and all the wild.

My husband and I worked with Earthlife Expeditions to design a custom luxury 12-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The trip exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed wonderful hospitality at fabulous accommodations (including Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Mpingo Ridge Lodge), saw more wildlife than we ever imagined and were wowed by the guides - especially Herman, our guide in Tanzania. By working with this Tanzanian owned company, we travelled in luxury for far less money than if we booked with the US based tour operators.

Serengeti Heaven
My wife and I went on our honeymoon in Tanzania, first an 8 day safari with Earthlife and then 5 days in Zanzibar, basically because no where else would let US citizens into their country.
I chose Earthlife because it's a local operator, and one of the most reputable in the biz. I worked with Caudence on our itinerary for 2 months getting it just right. Earthlife is definitely the way to go in terms of service and quality. During the trip our guide Jeff worked to get our tickets from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam worked out... something that had nothing to do with Earthlife and they were only able to do because the owner had a relationship with the owner of the airline. Earthlife makes things happen.
Speaking of Jeff, he was an incredible guide! He was tireless, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, positive, and funny. He was often first to the scene of awesome sights and he'd go the extra mile - one time we were headed back to camp and he heard there was a rhino on the radio and we went back like an hour just to try to see this one rhino and round out the big 5 (they're pretty rare here). You need to request Jeff.
Tanzania is gorgeous and now is the time to see it. Every game park is like your personal wildlife paradise. The people are very kind and unobtrusive. They've been suffering from the Covid economy and you're going to get awesome rates and personalized service. Jeff said the number of vehicles is about 10% of normal. It's like going to disneyland some random mid week vs the saturday before Christmas. The risk of getting Covid is nil from the locals. (Obvi you need to get tested before you come to protect them).

We had life changing experience in Tanzania. Meeting dedicated and hardworking citizens, knowing about the country's rich history, culture and ofcourse wildlife Safari ! For both me and my husband the countless number of Animal Planet and Discovery Channel episodes of Wildlife took life and suddenly broadened our horizon! Safari was an entirely new experience for us and we are sure we would like to engage in more such experiences in future. A large part of this credit goes to Earthlife Expedition!!!
Special credit goes to our Travel Partner Paul from Earthlife Expedition who was the perfect host for us. It was the time around Christmas that we took this trip. Paul, had no regrets about being away from family. He made us his family and took care of every detail of our trip. Earthlife Expedition had detailed out our trip in quite an elaborate manner covering Tarangeri, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. Our Safari was ofcourse a success given we sighted the big 5 :D
The stay was planned in high quality camps and lodges. Food was good in each of them. The staff at these lodges was welcoming and assuring of a safe stay even when we were in the middle of the jungle.
We would highly recommend earthlife expedition to people who are planning to take Safari in Tanzania and nearby contries.

We choose Earthlife based on all the positive reviews and comments and we were not disappoint, our safari exceeded our expectations. Our trip was organized by Caudence, she kept in constant communication with us and answered everyone of questions very quicly.
Our guide, Jeff made us feel comfortable and we had a really good time with him. His personality was just so pleasant and we felt like friends. He’s experienced and competent, he knows all about the fauna, history and the local culture. Asante sana Jeff, you are EL LEON DE TANZANIA ! We did a 7 days trip and see Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara. All of the accommodations were wonderful in biutiful locations and we spent a really nice time after a day on the road. We loved the pools in Simba Tarangire Tented Lodge & Ngorongoro forest lodge, also the food was really good and the staff at each location we stayed were professional and very attentive.
We had a wonderful experience in Tanzania, and enjoyed the sounds and the magic of this beautiful land, above all in our Serengueti lodges. We could see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, zebras… lots of wonderful animals! We particularly enjoyed our visit to a Massai village where we could see a little bit of their daily life and specially the little children at school. Really nice experience !
