This is how a trip should be planned and arranged !!
For my wife and I this was our first safari and first trip to Africa. We were looking for an adventure and TT at Safari Specialists delivered exactly what we were looking for. We found working with TT to be very easy as he was responsive and took time to listen to what was important to us. Prior to our departure, he sent a very detailed itinerary which included everything from what to pack, airport greetings, hotel transfers, flights to and from camps and accommodations. We travel fairly often and we only wish every trip could be as well organized and run as smoothly as this one did. Small things on a trip make a big difference. For example we met many people on our trip who were ending their safari in Victoria Falls. TT suggested we start in Victora Falls and end our trip in the more remote and game rich Okavango Delta. That was a great suggestion since it allowed us to ease into the adventure and start off in a more developed area.
When I starting planning a trip to Botswana, a representative at Kwando Safaris mentioned we should work with a first class travel planner like Safari Specialists. We are very glad we did. Our guide at Chobe Game Lodge asked who we worked with and said in her experience Safari Specialists was top notch and had a great reputation. If you have any doubts about using Safari Specialists, I hope my comments will alleviate those doubts. As a final comment on service level, I received an email from TT while I was on the plane from Atlanta to Johannesburg apologizing for forgetting to mention the new customs declaration form required to enter South Africa. I replied that I had done the form so not a problem but this is an excellent example of the kind of constant follow up we received. An added bonus is that we got to meet TT at the Maun airport to thank him in person for arranging such a great trip.

Fantastic
From the very first email contact, Nadine from Safari Specialists did everything to ensure that our safari perfectly matched our wishes.
She occasionally had to rearrange entire days to make sure the camps aligned, but she made it all work. Our safari in Botswana was fantastic , Kwando Camps and Okavango Origins were GREAT.
We are already looking forward to booking our next trip with them. We live in the Netherlands and have complete trust in Safari Specialists.

Don't hesitate, go with Safari Specialists!
Here's another 5-star review. How many more do you need? Go with Safari specialists and you will not be disappointed! Bronwyn helped us set up a 15-day safari through Namibia and Botswana and we couldn't have been more satisfied. I had been to the Okavango area a few years before so I had an idea of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to see and the lodges we decided upon couldn't have been better. I was unfamiliar with Namibia, but the places Bronwyn suggested were perfect, all unique and very comfortable. If I had any questions or wanted to make any changes, Bronwyn was always ready to promptly take care of things and there was never a problem. My traveling companion did have some health issues and Safari Specialists did everything they could to help us resolve them along the way and still keep us on schedule. We also had a problem with our flight leaving Maun; Air Botswana let us down--which wasn't anything Safari Specialists was responsible for--but Bronwyn made every effort to successfully get us on a different flight. A Safari Specialists staffer who happened to be at the airport also stayed with us until she was sure we got on our flight. Just excellent service all around! Thanks Bronwyn and Safari Specialists for a great trip!

Amazing trip & service
We are so happy of our honeymoon trip that we finally made in december 2021- january 2022. Lisa has been so flexible, kind and helpful all the way. We had to change the trip 3 times due to covid (even once just a day before the actual trip) and Lisa has always been perfect in modifying the whole trip for us and postponing it. She has advised us on great safaris, lodges and activities in Botswana and Zimbabwe. She is always available for information even during the trip. Before the trip, she takes a lot of time to discuss your needs in details and find the best options for you. Go for it, you won't regret it!

Excellent experience working with Safari Specialists!
I worked with Joanne at Safari Specialists, and everything turned out great, exceeding my expectations. My husband and I went on a safari in Botswana. Joanne offered some suggested itineraries and worked with me to tailor it to what we were looking for. She was very nice to work with, responding to all emails, questions, etc. The safari itself was nothing short of amazing! We stayed in three different places, each one better than the one before it! The number and types of animals we saw were incredible -- lions, cheetahs, elephants, wild dogs, owls, giraffes, you name it. The people who worked at the places we stayed were incredible, including the guides who have so much knowledge. I am on a special diet, and they were all very accommodating. Overall, highly recommended!

Phenomenal
From the moment I contacted safari specialists to when I returned home, the entire experience was a pleasure! I was in constant communication with them and organizing everything was easy. The trip was a once in a life time journey and it exceeded all my expectations. Everywhere we stayed was very comfortable, the people were friendly and the guides were brilliant. The food was also much better than expected. Loved every minute and will definitely do it again.

When booking a Safari for the first time you have to rely on a good tour operator. Safari specialist was referred to us by someone who had used them several years ago. Nadine clearly understood our priorities, budget and prepared an amazing itinerary for us. Nadine communicated with us through email and phone calls as required before, during the Safari and on our arrival home. We have no hesitation referring Safari Specialists to anyone to experience the beauty of Botswana.

Excellent Service
After selecting Safari Specialists, we spent the next two years communicating with Nadine, one of their agents. Nadine was able to understand our requests and make excellent suggestions. We never felt pressured into doing something we didn't want to do. I don't think one travel company is going to get you much better of a deal than any other (prices are set by the individual camps) however Nadine did find us a great deal at one camp that she knew was opening up and meet our needs. The real difference between travel companies is their ability to understand what type of safari you are looking for and availability to answer questions. Safari Specialists were top notch in both. Nadine not only helped us to arrange a perfect first time safari, she also happily answered all types of questions from us. It was amazing that in the middle of Botswana and Zimbabwe, with limited communications, every aspect of our safari was coordinated seamlessly. We had one company drive us to an airstrip, another company fly us to our next camp, and a third company pick us and deliver us to that camp. And not once did Safari Specialists fail us. I felt like someone was holding our hand and guiding us around southern Africa the whole time.

Joanne was wonderful in her assistance and contact throughout the booking process and her willingness to answer all our questions before and during our trip. In short her communication with us was excellent! We had a good idea of where we wanted to stay and what we wanted to do but Joanne's experience enabled her to make suggestions which enhanced our plans. We were impressed with the documentation that was provided to us which not only outlined our itinerary but gave us comprehensive background information about Botswana, our accommodation and the safari experience. All our transfers went smoothly - we were even met at Maun airport by a representative from Safari Specialists when we were in transit to Johannesburg. Our experiences in the three Sanctuary lodges, the people who looked after us, and the range of wildlife that we saw was just wonderful.
