Well organised and experienced guide - great trip
5/5

I was recommended Cul Tours and Saturday as a tour guide by a friend - she was right! It was smooth, well organised and the guide was experienced and well informed. The van was comfortable and the accommodation pretty great for the most part, even on a budget. I saw the gorilla's and the tree climbing lions on the one day! Uganda is beautiful and I would recommend without hesitation! Thanks to Stephen and Saturday!

Great experience as allways
5/5

In september 2015 we had a fantastic trip again with Cul Tours and Safaris. It is the 10th time in the last five years we use Stevens company to get around in Uganda. This time we visited many craft groups and had a gamedrive in Murchison Falls National Park and were lucky to see a lion family. We can only recommend using Stephen and Cul Tours and Safaris as organizers, whether you plan your trip yourselves or let him do it. You can rely 100% on him. We come back next year.

My third - but still not the last time!
5/5

A fantastic and reliable touristcompany!
I have now been on 3 exciting and eventful tours with some very clever guides.
I have seen and tried local things, which i dont think was possible for me to see on my own.
When i was planning my second safari tour with 2 other friends, they where very flexible and planned the tour perfectly for us. Both the economy and the experience was like we wanted.
They know the local people and the good places.

I have been for safaris, seen waterfalls, mountains, villages, schools, orphanages and much more.

Even though i have been travelling on my own, i will still prefer travelling with you guys. So i highly recommend this company if you want to be sure to get a succesful trip!

I totally made the right choice with Cul Tours & Safaris; a wonderful adventure and experience.
5/5

I am not a tour guide kind of traveller so I was hesitant to sign on with a tour company, but I am very happy that I used Cul Tours for this trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Stephen was prompt in all our correspondence and tried always to do what he could to arrange my trip to meet my desires. He arranged for me to see and do every single thing I wanted during my very limited time. Solomon, my guide and driver from Cul Tours, was a safe and courteous driver (to pedestrians and other drivers) which was very important to me. He's a wealth of information about his country, which made the drive-time additionally interesting. He truly seems to enjoy his career as a travel guide. Because Cul Tours & Safaris is a small, locally owned company, I received exceptional service, and my comfort and satisfaction was clearly a priority for them. Highly recommended, without reservation.

Kotido Karamoja
5/5

Just a short report of my quick visit to Kotido in Karamoja with Stephen, Solomon and John. John Longok didn't saw his family for over 6 years so suddenly I had the idea to give him this opportuntiy. When John was 15 years old he was taken away from his family and after years of suffering things are going quite better now with John's life. Ofcourse, he misses his family a lot.
I know Stephen and Solomun from Cultours now for almost 3 years and I asked them if they could drive John and me to Kotido. None of the cars were available but Stephen wouldn't be Stephen if he didn't came up with a good solution.
So eventually, in the early morning friday 18th September we left Entebbe for a long journey to Kotido.
Solomon was the driver and even though it was a long way, Stephen gave us a lot of interesting explanations about things we drove by. After a overnight in a cheap but reasonable hostel "it" was coming closer and closer. John was pretty nerveous, emotions came up and suddenly it was a little bit to much.
It was saturdaymorning and I had to ask Stephen and Solomon to stay in the car because in this way John could approach his family with a very trusted environment and less nerveousity, and ofcourse they did so.
The meeting with his family was very overwhelming and emotional. Eventually, when it was afternoon, Stephen and Solomon came also to the family. They got a warm welcome aswell.
We brought some clothes and food for the family and the father of John was sick so together with Stephen and Solomon we went for some medicines.
In the village there were also some shows with a lot of dance and spectacle.
The people of the village are still living in Banda's and yields from cows and sheep.
Karamoja... If you get the opportunity and you are in Uganda then one thing is for sure: You have to go there!
This village is so colourful, it's a world on his own.
Cul Tours Safaris will accompany you during this trip perfectly.
I would like to thank Stephen and Solomon for making this journey to Kotido in Karamoja unforgettable and flawless, also on behalf of John.

Great time in Uganda as a single traveler
5/5

As an independent traveler, was a little worried if I might be lonely on a 9-day tour through Uganda. However, CUL tours was fantastic! Stephen and Milton designed a great custom tour for me at a competitive price point, and I never had to worry about being alone or bored. I received many quotes, and theirs was the best by far on both price and options. Being on this trip made me feel like I was traveling with a good friend who knew all the great local hangouts and best roads. I learned so much about the country, saw everything that I wanted to see, and had an exceptional time. This is a small but growing local company, that takes its time to design custom experiences for people. I recommend them highly.

Excellent Tour Company!
5/5

If you are shopping around for a good tour company, look no further. You will find Stephen and his team at Cul Tours to be knowledgeable, professional, and completely trustworthy. Throughout our experience the owner, Stephen, was very efficient with email communications, understanding of our need to keep the budget low but still have an enjoyable experience, and extremely patient with all our questions - even when I asked for proof of his physical office before I sent the deposit!

My niece and I were met at the airport by Stephen (and had our first concern erased of whether the person you've been communicating with online will actually materialize when you arrive!), and introduced to Milton, who was our guide for our 3-night trip to Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth parks. Milton was great: extremely punctual, very knowledgeable about many subjects - wildlife and otherwise - and a lot of fun! He was well-connected with many other guides in and around the parks and they were constantly sharing information about which big animals were where. One evening we were just about to head back to the lodge (Bush Lodge - great place, amazing food!) and Milton stopped to chat with another guide and learned about a lion sighting in the park. So we turned around, went racing back into the park (despite the fact it was about to close) and saw not just one lion but an adult male and female and 6 young ones! We talked to many others back at the lodge who hadn't seen the lions and we may have missed them as well had Milton not taken that extra initiative.

On our final day we had a quest to see some elephants (we happened to have a couple of cool, wet days in QE park so they weren't easy to spot) and again Milton went the extra mile, checking the usual elephant hangouts, asking around the guide network to get some tips. We had a couple of false alarms but just as it was getting late he stopped the truck and pointed through a little clearing in the trees where the elephants were enjoying themselves by the water. Mission accomplished!

Our experience was first-rate from beginning to end. Stephen runs a very professional operation and I can recommend them without hesitation!

Wonderful trip!
5/5

First of all, before being in Uganda, I have been in close contact with Stephen. He has always been very nice and willing to help me. The programme we made together was flexible and I really appreciated it.
Once I arrived, Milton, the guide, welcomed me at 5.00 am, and Stephen the following day.
It was more than a safari... It was a human and a wildlife experience! I enjoyed very much talking with Milton on different issues: animals, history, culture... His expertise on all these topics was very informative.
He was always punctual and very trustworthy. After the Kazinga river boat trip, I decided to do the safari at Queen Elizabeth Park and that was not included in the package. Milton accepted without hesitation and it was an amazing experience: we saw five lions eating a hippo and we were only two cars.
The gorilla trekking was incredible and a 250 kg silverback came to us and I could have touched him! It is beyond words... The Kazinga river, the lions at Queen Elizabeth Park and the chimpanzes at Kibale were also amazing experiences. I won't forget the human experiences with a pygme community and with some children at a local school.
The accommodation was very nice and the food very good. It is incredible to sleep with the sounds of the animals nearby and very moving to stay at a pension where Dian Fossey often came. Last but not least, the people from Uganda are very friendly people and very respectful.
I loved my different adventures in Uganda. Thank you Milton and Stephen. Needless to tell you, I highly recommend CUL TOURS!
