Great Company and great Team!
We traveled as students group from the university of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Open Africa Safaris handled everything about our trip. From the day we started to contact John who is Open Africa Safaris' representative in the USA, he was so quick to answer our questions. He answered all our questions and gave us options on our trip, he was absolutely excellent on communication. When we got in Tanzania we were amazed with an incredible service that Open Africa Safaris' team provide to us in Tanzania. We stayed in wonderful Lodges, food was so delicious, and we even got to try an African food known as Ugali. Our Tour Guide Joseph was such an amazing guy, not only that he showed us all animals we wanted to see but he was so friendly as well. Each of us were very happy about the trip because we got more than we expected. Truly, that was unforgettable experience and we thank Open Africa Safaris to make our dream come true. On behalf of my group, I highly recommend Open Africa Safaris to other student groups as well as individuals who would like to go on tour in Tanzania.

"Awesome Safari Experience!"
I took a safari with my husband and my 6 year old daughter. John and Anthony were extremely helpful and knowledgable. They made us feel as if we were part of the family. The people we met did not treat us as foreigners, they treated us like friends visiting. Other travelers I spoke with talked of villagers charging them for a simple photo. We were invited into their homes. I had such a wonderful experience, I cannot wait until we go again and this time volunteer at an orphanage through Open Africa Safaris. I highly recommend Open Africa Safaris to any traveler who wish to get not only the real Adventure experience, but also the best service in general.

Amazing family experience
I took my family on a safari with John and Anton. They were so knowledgable about the wildlife and the culture of the area. We saw every animal there was to see and we're not disappointed in the experience. Anton and John took care of my family as it was their own.

"Life Time Lasting Safari Experience!"
My parents booked our tour with Open Africa Safaris at the last moment. The company was not only extremely responsive, but also flexible with us. John was very kind and patient through our communication about our trip. He was so quicky to answer all our questions we had. He also explained every expectation of our trip, such as the weather in Tanzania, visa application process, flight tickets purchasing options and much much more. His communication with us was absolutely excellent. He made very good suggestions on where to go and what to do in Tanzania. On our arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport, we met our tour guide Anthony, he was a 30+ year very kind and friendly. He is extremely knowledgeable and well known by the locals. During our safari, we ended up seeing way more animal babies and wild life than we ever expected. we also loved our visit to Maasai boma on our way back from safari. The tents, mattresses and sleeping bags were new and clean. I highly recommend Open Africa Safaris to any traveler for unforgetable safari experience.

Life Changing
I initially had trouble finding a suitable and trustworthy safari company during my trip to Tanzania. Being a new traveler to Africa, I spoke with a friend who recently went on a few safaris while visiting Tanzania and he referred me to Open Africa Safaris.
What an experience!!!! I toured Arusha, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Open Africa Safaris planned the entire trip, every detail was perfectly executed, and I commend Anthony and Open Africa for a seamless experience.
I would highly recommend this company as they are professional, personable, fun and knowledgable. Our tour guide Anthony was like the African Steve Irwin or Jack Hanna. He knew everything about the animals we saw and guided our experience with an absurd amount of knowledge.
On Kilimanjaro, Anthony was like Sir Edmund Hillary guiding us into the unknown up to 19,000 feet. Our every need was taken care of to include meals, setting up camp and creating the most amazing experience high above the clouds.
There are not enough stars on this review to rate just how good this company made my experience.

The best of the best!
Anyone can bring you to a magical place with beautiful animals. Not everyone can deliver the high quality service that travels along with you on your adventure! Open Africa Safaris have really mastered their craft. They are knowledgeable, well organized, and client focused.
Above all else, I have to say they are some of the warmest, funniest people I've had the pleasure of knowing and traveling with. Their enthusiastic energy is contagious and makes for a truly wonderful experience. I made some of my favourite lifelong memories on that trip!

Excellent memories
We arrived from Tanzania few days ago and already miss this country. We had a wonderful vacation thanks to our charming guide Anthony who was excellent driver, we felt really safe with him.
We arrived late night of the 10th of February to Kilimanjaro Airport and he met us and picked up from airport.
We spent 4-days on safari- Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara. We saw so much animals- cheetahs, lions, wildebeests, sebras, hippos..... etc. We were very lucky to see black rhinos!!!
Before our trip I wasn´t quite sure, will it be safe or will it be interesting for our 10yrs old boy. But Tonny (our driver) became very good friend for us, he gave good advices and we learned so much about animals and birds.
During our safari we had accomodation in lodges and semi-luxury tents. All those places and their meals were excellent.
I really recommend this company if you are planning your vacation in Tanzania! We got excellent memories!

I booked a 4 days safari with Open Africa Safaris company and had a wonderful time!! Our tour guide, Anthony, made always sure that we have everything we need. The hotel was clean and confortable with a very beautiful view on the park ;the staff was always helpful and polite and the food was very good. The game drives were amazing! We saw a lot of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Our tour guide knew the park so well, he always knew were to take a turn and amaze us with yet another beautiful view! To sum up, this was one of the best holidays i have ever experienced!! Thank you again Anthony for the great time we spent together on this safari!

The Ultimate Authentic Maasai Experience
My friends and I went on a tour to an authentic Maasai village and stayed with one of the families living there. Everything about the experience was amazing. We were shown how to carry water on our heads and milk cows. In the evening they had a bonfire for us and did a bit of a dance. When it got dark we saw the most stars I have ever seen in my life, it was truly beautiful. Everyone went to bed and we heard music so we hiked up the mountain for a few minutes and found a bunch of kids singing and two ladies playing the drums. We sang and danced with them for hours until they invited us into a hut and we had some sort of prayer or welcome ceremony. This was not part of the tour. We just happened to find a lovely group in the next village who were happy to see us it was easily one of the best nights of my life. The tour also included a trip to a reptile zoo where we got to learn about animals and go on a camel ride. There was also a circumcision museum which was strange but informative. I highly recommend booking a tour with Open Africa safaris. John is a great guy and we still stay in touch

"An incredible experience!"
It was absolutely a remarkable safari experience that my family and I had with Open Africa Safaris. The company provide such a wonderful service to all of us. The company is well organized and therefore, the driver was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The vehicle was extremely comfortable and we had all that we needed. The trip was unforgettable and there is no doubt that it will remain in our memory for life .
