Superb service, amazing Kenya
5/5

We are a family with a child of 11 and travelled in Kenya with Wildlife Sun Safaris for 14 days at the end of June. Although it is a low season, the weather was sunny without rains, very pleasant. The tour was very busy. Nairobi - Masai Mara - Naivasha - Nakuru - Bogoria - Nairobi - Amboseli - Tsavo West - Tsavo East - Diani Beach - Nairobi. We made our tour plan by ourselves based on the example tours at their website. James was prompt to reply to all our emails and the price for the tour was quite reasonable. He personally met us at the airport, in the middle of our trip, and before departure. He organized the tour very well. Our personal driver – Toya - was always polite, precise, and executed the itinerary with no faults. We had a 4x4 Toyota minivan. It is OK on good road and off-road. However, there are some roads under construction. Especially, if you go to Masai Mara you have to drive about 1.5 hour on washboard road. Here we wished we had a heavy Landcruiser. It is more comfortable, but more expensive too. This was our choice. We had an excellent journey and Kenya is really amazing. Don't hesitate to take children with you. It is a safe and comfortable country for the tourists. I was surprised to see no insects. Leisure at Diani beach was the right thing after 10-days safari. Get ready to meet many local people that sell things at beach. Swimming in the ocean is a challenge. We had everything we wanted in this tour. And it was gracefully done by Wildlife Sun Safaris. Many thanks to James and Toya.

Excellent company!
5/5

Excellent round trip through Kenia with Wildlife Sun Safaris!

After searching for a while on Safaribookings.com, we have chosen for Wildlife Sun Safaris because of value for money, positive reviews and properly contact with James.

When we arrived at the airport of Nairobi, James was properly waiting there to welcome us. Explained everything very well about how our round trip will proceed and the possibilities for any other excursion. We started our round trip the following day (Nairobi – Masai Mara – Tsavo East – Diani Beach). James was there on time again and we met our driver for the first time for our roundtrip: Thoya which I highly recommend!!

Thoya did his best to show us beautiful animals as much as possible and knows all the roads very well. His English is very good and he can tell you a lot of information about the animals/nature/country if you like. He was very nice to have with us and did not mind doing anything or insist to do something.
Every day he explained what we could expect that day about driving distances (including sanitary stops, etc.), arrival times and how long the game drive will take for example.  Thoya was always on time and we got a clean car again every morning!

We had a car with pop-up roof for 8 persons, which was only used by 2 persons. This made it very comfortable during long (sometimes very bumpy) rides.  In our car there was no air conditioning which wasn’t an issue for us. I know Wildlife Sun has more cars in their possession so maybe you can ask about the possibilities before.

Bottom line: I can highly recommend to book with Wildlife Sun Safaris who gave us an unforgettable holiday!
Have had great contact with James before our holiday and gave very quick responses. Either a properly confirmation of the paid deposit and remaining amount.
Kenya is a very beautiful country for an outstanding wildlife experience! Especially Masai Mara is a must to visit.

Thanks again to Thoya, James and Wildlife Sun Safaris for our amazing holiday!

A 7-day safari tour at Kenya
5/5

Our family of 4 recently took a 7-day safari tour at Kenya. We booked the tour through wildlife sun safaris. James was very hopeful through the entire process. He is very professional and always answers our questions in a timely way. The driver, Jackson, is a very nice guy. He is very experienced and is good at spotting animals such as lions and cheetahs (while elephants are easier to spot of course). Overall this has been a great experience for us and we strongly recommend wildlife sun safaris.

Excellent safari
5/5

It was 6 nights safari, we visited Samburu, Aberdare, Amboseli, Tsavo West. James
has offered us the best price for this week. We started from Nairobi and finished in Diani beach. Everything was perfect! We saw almost all animals, even leopard 2 times - in Samburu and Tsavo West. Was no any problem, all that James promiced and wrote in contract - have been done. Our driver Jackson was very good guide, After rest on Diani beach we had short 1 day safari in Nairobi National Park, here we met white and black rhino. i recommend travel in Kenya with them, they are honest people and do the best that everything was pleasant to you.

3 day Taita Hills and Salt Lick
5/5

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wildlife Sun Safaris. I made a request through the Kenya Association of Tour Operators website and James responded promptly. We agreed the itinerary by email. On arrival in Kenya, everything was well organised and delivered exactly as promised. The driver/guide was experienced and knowledgeable, and he took care of all the details.

Great safari in Maasai Mara!
5/5

We (a couple in our late 20's/early 30's) booked a 3 day/2 night safari in Maasai Mara with Wildlife Sun in August 2016. We had a great experience and highly recommend the company. The whole process of selecting a safari operator is stressful, but we found James to be very straightforward and professional when we communicated with him. Based on that and some good reviews online, we decided to go with Wildlife Sun and were very happy with our choice. (Note the company is based out of Mombasa, but they also operate in Nairobi.)

We were staying at an Airbnb in Nairobi, rather than one of the standard hotels downtown, but there was no problem picking us up. James offered us two quotes: one was a standard budget option, and the other was a bit more expensive. We chose the slightly more expensive option -- we stayed at a small, charming camp in Maasai Mara called Fisi Camp and had the safari vehicle to ourselves. Fisi Camp was a wonderful place: we were lucky that the manager of the camp decided to accompany us on our safari, so together with our driver from Wildlife Sun, we had 2 pairs of expert eyes to help us find animals. We were also lucky to see some rare sights like lions feeding, and a cheetah with young cubs. Throughout the trip our driver was very friendly, and very knowledgeable about wildlife in Kenya.

Fantastic last minute safari in the Mara
5/5

We decided whilst on our honeymoon in Kenya that we wanted to do a safari in the Mara, James at Wildlife Sun Safari’s was very highly recommended to us and I can fully understand why. We wanted to head to the Mara in 4 days time and because James was so quick at sorting this for us it meant that we were able to get the last 2 seats on the flight.
Due to the planes that take you to the Mara being so small there are weight restrictions on luggage, this meant we were unable to take our main suitcases, James was brilliant with sorting this out for us and arranged for our suitcases to fly to Nairobi with us (We had to pick up some passengers from Nairobi on the way to the Mara), our suitcases were then stored at the airport ready for us to collect after our Safari.
We were given 3 options of where to stay, we chose ‘The Fig Tree’, it was a really friendly and welcoming camp in the Mara. We had a fantastic guide and driver and were also lucky enough to have a safari truck to ourselves.
When we left the Mara we were heading to Nairobi to carry on our honeymoon, James surprised us by meeting us at the airport and had already collected our large suitcases for us.
I cannot recommend James or Wildlife Sun Safari’s enough, he was brilliant from the beginning right through to the end of our trip.
We are hoping that we will be able to return to Kenya in the near future and will not hesitate to contact James to help us organise our trip.

Amazing, well organized and comfortable
5/5

We took the safari with Wild Life Sun Safari a couple months ago. Our first trip to Africa as such we didnt know what to expect, how safe it would be etc. James and his team were well organized. James even picked us up at the airport the first night. Made us not worry about being in an unknown place. All our guides were really nice and knowledgeable. They did a very good job at sighting wildlife to make sure we got to see most of the predators. The hotels that were picked were fantastic as well. The guides were flexible with our needs. they even took us for our shopping needs on our last day for special gifts back (we did not want the typical souvenirs and so they took us to special place where they hand make beads and jewellery in Nairobi). The trip was planned out in detail and well thought through

We did have some issues with our vehicle on the Tanzania side where James's partners run the business. The terrain is pretty rough on cars and they can break down easily. But the vehicle they had in Tanzania was pretty old and beat up just increasing its chance of break down. and it did break down. But the our guide was very resourceful and got us into another vehicle to go back across the border. So all in all it worked out great. but this could be avoided if they use better vehicles. In James's interest to make sure your partner on Tanzania side keeps up with your high standards.

My overall assessment will be we could not have asked for a better experience and really were glad to have gone with Wild life sun safari. They are the best and we recommend them to anyone looking for safari in Kenya.
