Outstanding
We did a 5 day safari - Nairobi-Amboseli-Lake Nakuru-Masi Mara-Nairobi.
This was just the right amount of time to see 3 different environments (mountain, lake and savanna), and all the animals.
Now having understood the driving times, I would have probably changed the order and ended in Mombasa, instead of returning to Nairobi.
Dec/Jan is a great time to come, before the rush of tourists for the migration.
Oakland service was fantastic from the second we engaged with them through safaribookings.com. The driver they provided was great - knowledgeable, funny and also understood when we just wanted to snooze and not chat on some of the long drives between Parks. We were keen to learn all about Kenyan culture, so thankfully we had Mr Henry to educate us. On the game drives, it was clear he had huge respect for the animals and their environment (when there were other drivers being intimidating and disrespectful of both).
As with everything, you get what you pay for - we mixed it up, with some standard lodges, and the last 2 night in the Masi Mara in luxury, over NYE, with a sunrise air ballon ride on New Year’s Day. Worth every penny. With Park fees so high, the temptation is to do only one night in each, which is a shame, because you don’t get enough time to enjoy some spectacular accommodation, food and hospitality.
With so many safari operators here, it’s difficult to know which to pick - I can only say that Mr Henry, our driver and Oakland have been excellent in every respect.

Absolutely fantastic! Quick to respond, professional and our driver was very experienced and safe.
Our safari experience was absolutely incredible. We were very lucky with everything that we saw and we had an amazing time.
The team at Oakland were fantastic throughout all the booking and organisation process. They accommodated all our requests and were extremely easy to work with and I appreciated how quick they were to respond.
Francis was an incredible driver. It was clear how experienced he is and he took care of us very well. He showed us everything on our game drives and was very knowledgeable. We also always felt safe.

Professional and communicative agency which offered us an unforgettable time in Kenya

Great experience, great people
We just arrived from the three days tour. Tired, confused but enthusiastic. Simon Ngowa was the complete man for us, a great guy. Amazing
What an amazing trip! From the very first minute we landed in Nairobi until the last minute we left Kenya the trip was just fabulous our guide Ken was fantastic, the jeep for the safaris, the hotels and of course, Kenya. I will definitely come back to Kenya for sure I will hide their services again. Thank you!
Felistus is knowledgeable, efficient and perceptive..
I highly recommend Oakland Tours! They booked us into great lodges at the midrange prices we asked for. They also provided us with an excellent guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Excellent Kenyan Safari - Highly Recommend!
My mom, myself, and my 18 year old daughter travelled to Kenya for a safari and we are so glad we booked with Oakland Safaris! From the first communication with Felistus in Nairobi, we were kept fully informed and felt very comfortable that we were in good hands. She designed a perfect safari for our mid-range budget with excellent lodges and all the logistics were taken care of so we just got to enjoy the beautiful country and wildlife. Norah and Felistus were so communicative about payment and itinerary and once we arrived we were met at the airport and given into the care of our guide Willy. He was fantastic!! He took us safely through three parks and dealt with all the entry fees, lodge staff, etc with us but most importantly he was so friendly and knowledgeable about Kenya and the wildlife we saw and he was GREAT at finding it - including a cheetah, oryxes, and lions! We loved our time and highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants a safe, affordable and extremely fun safari in beautiful Kenya.
