Unforgettable Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar
Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro was quite a dream, visiting Lions and Elephants in Serengeti as well as refreshing my mind and my soul in Zanzibar was magical. What else can I say than congratulate Enosa Expeditions. A small company but with services beyond measure.
I initially approached several companies, they were all promising to give me best services, but I choose 'flexibility' that's why I and me and my wife went for Enosa Expeditions.
They were ready to accommodate any start day, any number of hikers, any route, any number of days, etc. And their prices were very reasonable! 80% cheaper than other companies which I tried to communicate with before. And I was not supposed to pay for other stuffs such as toilets, shower tents, etc. One other thing about this company is that it is owned locally by Tanzanians and they are real professionals, I do not think I could get that from other companies.
After exchanging a few e-mails with Noel (the co- owner), I just got a sense of comfort from him that I didn't get from others, and they proved to be very honest, trustworthy, and just all-around good guys.
They picked us at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and took us to a very comfortable hotel. And next day in the morning we started our journey. We did 7 days Marangu route. It was a very nice route, I think because we had good guides who taught us several Swahili words and even they taught us some Tanzanian card games. The rest of the crew always greeted us with friendly smiles and a "Jambo rafiki!" at the end of each long day of hiking. The each meal we took was absolutely amazing - some of the best meals we had in Tanzania. The whole team treated each other with utmost respect and it really felt like they were all close friends with each other.
After coming from Mount Kilimanjaro we went to Tarangire and Ngorongoro. We did two days camping safari in these amazing national parks. Tarangire is blessed with so many elephants and it was amazing to me.
After Mount Kilimanjaro and safari we went to Zanzibar for the purpose of refreshing our minds and it was a very nice trip to enjoy the sea breeze as well as it was my first time to eat ‘Zanzibar pizza’. As well as other Swahili foods like samosa.
Tanzania is so friendly and I would say Africa is a very beautiful continent as they are blessed to have things which other countries do not have.
