When you go to Uganda, travel with Bella!!!
5/5

When you visit Uganda, you must book a safaritrip with Bella Africa. Bella is making sure you will have a great time. We really enjoyed ourselves during our six day safari (Murchison National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park). You only have to do one thing: book, fly to Uganda, step in the car, relax and enjoy! Bella will do the rest.

There was only one problem: the time was too short and we didn't want to leave Bella and our driver.

Amazing Adventure...Visiting with the magnificent Mountain Gorillas....my dream come true!!!
5/5

I am a single female traveller. I had the most wonderful trip. Bella and Justine were very prompt in replying to my communications, any adjustments that i wanted to make... I wanted to trek with the Mountain Gorillas twice....these additions to the itinerary were not a problem. The accommodations were so lovely and the food, I am gluten free, was delicious. I couldn't have asked for better guides than Amanda & Moses, they were magnificent! The safari was like 3 friends travelling together.....I had the most wonderful time. I am planning my next trip to the "Pearl of Africa". I can hardly wait to revisit with the magnificent Mountain Gorillas. Amazing Amazing Amazing! Thank you Bella Africa Safaris.

Everything you dream of and more
5/5

We had already been looking forward to the Safari and were very confident about what to expect thanks to the great reviews and the good contact with Bella and her staff before the trip. Nonetheless, we were still pleasantly surprised.

Our guide Suleiman was friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and fulfilled our every wish. Every game drive he tried his best to show us as many animals as possible. When our car broke down (something that can always happen on the difficult African roads) he drove us as far as we could and organised another car that picked us up so that we only arrived a few hours later than planned at our destination.

The lodges were absolutely top notch and each one unique: An outdoor restaurant at the banks of the Nile, an infinity pool overlooking the infinity of the Savannah, balconies with a view over the mountains, great service, good food. Two of us were fasting and all hotels catered breakfast for us before dawn.

And that all for an amazing price: We got a private tour for four people at a price that would have not even gotten us a group tour in any of the more explored countries.

That brings me to the last point of the review: The beautiful country Uganda. Initially we were also looking at the more famous countries for Safaris. However, we are very happy that somebody recommended Uganda to us. Not only is it way warmer than Southern Africa at the time that we travelled, it is also still not as explored as neighbouring Kenya or Tanzania. Which makes it cheaper and less touristy. We saw plenty of elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, bulls and a few lions (even the rare kind that sit on trees). We even got to see a hyana and two jackals. We got to walk with Zebras and saw a bush baby and a civet cat during a night safari. And Uganda has two highlights that none of the other popular Safari destinations have: Chimpanzees and Gorillas. The permits alone cost 150 and 600 Dollars. Bella includes these fees in her tour package price, making it even more bang for the buck. I am usually a person that prefers individual traveling to tours and I have never been so happy to hand the organisation over to a tour operator.

All four of us can highly recommend to do a tour with Bella and her great guides. Thank you Suleiman, Bella and team for a great time!

Fantastic safari with our great guide Ben Aloysius Kyeyune
5/5

Last june we went with a group of seven people on a four days Murchison Falls safari tour with a rhino and chimp tracking organised by Bella Safaris. It was fabulous. We will never forget this fantastic experience. We saw so many wild animals and great landscapes. It was well organised, with a very personal approach. A day before the safari guide Ben Aloysius Kyeyune visited us on our hotel and went through the plan of the trip. So we were very prepared before the safari started. Ben was great. He knows so much about the national park, all the animals, their behavior and everything about the country Uganda and the way he does his job is so full with passion. Beyond his knowledge, he's a very nice and fun person to hang out with and a very good driver too! We recommend other people this safari very much. Especially tourguide Ben, because he is very qualified and skilled and a great person!
Thanks again for this great trip!

Amazing experience
5/5

I booked the 11 day gorilla tour with Bella Africa Safaris and it was amazing. My guide was Grace and she was fantastic. She was friendly, funny and was full of information. I was able to see the big five while on safari and I was able get some amazing photos. All the accomadations were great and the food on the tour was delicious. I love that this company is giving women the opportunity to work in this field!! I loved every minute of this trip and was sad to leave. I would highly recommend this company and my new friend Grace!!!

An amazing unforgettable experience!
5/5

When Bella responded to my first email, I knew Bella African Safaris was the right company. My emails were quickly acknowledged and the responses were always sincere and filled with enthusiasm. On May 24, my family of four embarked on a 13 day tour of Uganda with Lilian and Adrian as our guides. What an amazing experience! The meals were wonderful and we also had a few traditional meals too. The lodging was very nice, our favorite was the self-contained tenting accommodation in Kibale. Each day was filled with new adventures and awesome wildlife sightings. Lilian and Adrian were wonderful! They shared with us their knowledge of Uganda from the history, culture, customs and foods to the amazing wildlife sightings that we encountered. Lilian and Adrian were very easy going and they never rushed us, as we were able to capture over 1000 memorable photos.

We chose to visit Uganda primarily to trek the mountain gorillas and the chimpanzees but we left with so much more. Yes, the mountain gorillas were magnificent and the chimpanzees were exhilarating but we were also taken back by the Ugandan lifestyle, the beautiful landscape, the smiling school children and mostly, how friendly Ugandans are!

Thank you, Bella, Lilian, Adrian and the staff at Bella African Safaris for making our trip to Uganda an unforgettable experience!

Amazing Uganda and Rwanda
5/5

My experience with Bella Africa Safaris was excellent throughout. Right from the moment when I first got in touch with Bella until the very end of an amazing trip. Together with my wife, we had an unforgettable time visiting Uganda and Rwanda in the company of a very knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Communication was very efficient (which is not always the case with other companies) and we quickly agreed on an itinerary tailored to our interests. Bella was very flexible and made great suggestions. It also proved to be an excellent value bearing in mind all the places we visited and the quality of the accommodation and food.

Having a great guide is extremely important and we couldn't be happier about ours - Ben! He's a marvelous guy, and guide, with a lot of knowledge about Uganda and the wildlife. He knows what he's doing and you can't go wrong with him.

Uganda is a beautiful country with some stunning locations to visit and lots to see and do. Visit now!

I highly recommend Bella Africa Safaris and Ben.

Beautiful experience!
5/5

Together with two friends I went on a safari with Bella Safaris in May 2017. We did spend 3 days in Murchison Falls with our tourguide Ronnie. We had a really special and beautiful experience! We've seen a lot of animals (rhino sanctuary, game drive, chimpansee trekking), the accomodation and the transport were very fine, the hike to the top of the falls was nice and everything was very well organized by Bella and Ronnie. While planning the trip, before we left, we had a lot of contact with Bella to make our travel plan, because she really wanted to make us satisfied about it. She took our budget into account. During our trip our guide Ronnie also tried his best to make us feel happy. He was a nice, funny and relaxed person to have with us and we had a lot of fun. The safari was even better than I expected, so we really recommend Bella Safaris to other people! She is a nice person who wants the best for her visitors in Uganda.

you will not find a better Safari Experience
5/5

I booked a 13 day safari with Bella after reading reviews and checking all the lodges in the safari details that were sent to me.
when i booked my flights i asked if i could extend to 14 days and was offered several options for my extra day
I specifically asked for a safari where i could take picures of as much as possible, locations, views, and animals.
I arrived at Entebbe for the start of my Safari and was met by Bella at the airport, little did I know what was in store for me.

Bella has created this safari company and instills her love for Uganda in everyone that works for her, creating such a friendly atmosphere for all of her tours.
she regularly checks in with all of her tour guides and also her customers to make sure everything is what each person needs.
To accomodate multiple tours, they do not always follow the same direction which meant we were lucky to run into another Bella Africa safari, with one of her guides, when i met the guide, she was just as enthusiastic as Bella, asking how my safari was going and was i enjoying myself.

Bella is well known in all of the lodges we visited. when she arrives the lodges make sure that everything is in place for her visitor.

During my trip I quickly understood how much Bella loves not only her job but Uganda too.
Some of the journeys are quite long and we had no trouble with conversations, discussing anything and everything, Bella is so easy to get on with, details of our safari, where we were going, what to expect when we got there and details of the lodges we were going to stay at.

Each location we arrived, we would set a time for Dinner and would discuss the following days activities whilst eating.
Bella planned everything to perfection.
while I was taking pictures, Bella would never rush, always asking me when I was ready to move on.
people who go on safaris always expect to see "the big five" it seems to be a requirement these days, even though its mother nature who decides what you see.
Bella called on all of her knowledge and contacts to make sure i saw much more than just the big five.

This was an amazing Safari, much much more than i could have expected.
It started out a safari, guide and customer, it ended a safari with two good friends, nothing was too much trouble.

if you are reading this review deciding whether to book a safari with this company, believe me you will not find better.

Incredible - Recommended!
5/5

We took a safari tour with Bella Safaris and it was one of our best holidays ever. Our guides were Ben and Grace (Ben was training Grace), and both were amazing company for our trip. Knowledgeable, funny, relaxed and able to accommodate any of our wishes, we couldn't have asked for better treatment.

We also really believe Bella's mission is an important one. Supporting women in this field is essential, and hope Bella goes on to inspire many talented female guides (like Grace) to enter the field!

The trip was also very reasonably priced, although considering the level of service we received you would expect it to be much more!

I really can't recommend Bella Safaris enough. We had the time of our lives :)
