2017 Kilimanjaro ascent via Umbwe with ALBA
A group of 12 mountaineers and hikers from CAAL (a Portuguese outdoor activities association) climbed the Kili in the end of Aug 2017 (with 2 first days via the Umbwe route, due to scenic and to avoid crowds).
African Lovebirds Adventures (ALBA) organized everything for us. In a single word, we rate their work as excellent.
Starting with manager Aloyce, who solved minor issues without fuzzing, to the last porter, everyone was great in their job and always with a smile; the guides team, lead by August, also performed in a very professional way.
After the Kili, we went for a few days trek, starting in Ngorongoro and ending in the Natron lake, also organized with ALBA; different activity and support team, equal satisfaction.
As far as we know, ALBA is a local company; this was a point for us when choosing the safari company, and we are totally satisfied with our decision.

Guiders and porters are all very kind. Food is sooo tasty and I gained 2kg after one week hiking. I was sick on summit day but Luis was supporting me all the time. Finally I got to the top successfully. Thank you for everyone that you gave me a wonderful time.
