My unforgettable Gorilla trek with Carol and her team, standing face to face with Nkuringo Gorillas
5/5

My 4 night gorilla trekking adventure in Uganda was nothing short of magical and it would not have been the same without the incredible support and professionalism of Gorilla Link Tours and its owner, Carol. From the very first moment I arrived at Entebbe Airport, I felt welcomed, cared for and excited for the journey ahead. Carol herself was waiting for me at the airport with a warm smile and a friendly greeting that immediately set the tone for the entire trip. Her kindness and professionalism were evident from the start. She personally escorted me to my accommodation, the ViaVia Entebbe, a charming and cozy guesthouse perfect for resting before the early start the next day. The attention to detail and personal touch from Carol made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another tourist. The next morning, I was picked up at 6 AM by my driver, Arshley, who was equally warm and friendly. We traveled in a spacious 9-seater safari vehicle, which was comfortable, even though there were only two of us inside. Arshley was attentive and courteous throughout the ~10–11 hour journey to Bwindi, always opening the car door for me and ensuring I was comfortable. Uganda’s lush green landscapes, rolling hills and vibrant rural life made the time fly by. We made a special stop at the Equator, where I had the surreal experience of standing with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere, a truly memorable photo opportunity. For lunch, we stopped at the Numba Café in Kabale. Carol had arranged my stay at the Mutanda Lake Resort and it was an absolute gem. Nestled by the serene shores of Lake Mutanda, the resort offered breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings and exceptional service. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully designed with local touches. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was good. This location turned out to be the perfect base for visiting the Nkuringo gorilla family, as it’s close to the park headquarters and offers a tranquil environment to relax before and after the trek. The gorilla trekking day started early at 6 AM from the resort, but waking up before sunrise was absolutely worth it. My guide was knowledgeable, passionate and made sure we were well-prepared for the hike through the dense forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After 30 minutes of trekking through stunning but challenging terrain, we finally reached the Nkuringo gorilla family. Seeing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I spent a full hour with them, observing their interactions, watching the young ones play, and marveling at the powerful silverback as he guarded his family. Being so close to the gorillas, just a few meters away was surreal. Their expressions, movements, and presence felt almost human. What truly set this trip apart was the personalized service from Carol and her team. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, from airport transfers to accommodation, meals and park logistics. Carol was always available to answer questions, offer advice and ensure everything ran smoothly. Her passion for Uganda and commitment to her guests’ happiness was evident in every interaction. If you’re planning a gorilla trekking trip to Uganda, I cannot recommend Gorilla Link Tours highly enough. Carol and her team provide not just a service, but a heartfelt, personalized experience that goes above and beyond expectations. From the warm welcome at the airport to the unforgettable moments in the forest with the gorillas, every part of this journey was handled with care, professionalism and genuine warmth. Thank you for making my Ugandan dream come true!

Dream comes true
5/5

I could talk about Carol, the manager, and her endless helpfulness and kindness. I could tell you about Richard, our driver, and how he made us feel right at home. I could tell you about Uganda and its spectacular landscapes, scents, and colors. I could, of course, but it's better to experience them firsthand, so trust Gorilla Link Tours for your Uganda safari.

The Best - Carol and Lucci
5/5

What can I say about the best company and staff other than we had the best service from (holding my hand) making reservations to transporting 6 ladies from airport to hotel to gorilla/monkey sites to shopping and back to the airport.

Carol and Lucci, thank you for making our visit memorable and for becoming our friends.

Look no further, Gorilla Link Tours is the BEST!
5/5

Carol with Gorilla Link Tours was amazing! Her attention to detail is unsurpassed. She personally visits every accommodation prior to using them as part of her packages. She even had someone meet us as we got off the plane to assist us with customs/immigration. This trip was PERFECT because of her. In addition to seeing an abundance of animals up close and personal, we also did numerous cultural experiences which helped us to better understand and appreciate the local flair. Her selections for every option on this trip were top-notch. I can't imagine a better tour company!

Highly recommend Carol to have a trip of a lifetime!
5/5

My husband and I had an amazing trip to Uganda, Rwanda and Zanzibar through Gorilla Link Tours and would highly recommend them and Richard our driver. Carol and I had a lot of email correspondence before the trip organizing the itinerary, the accommodation and suggested activities and every question that I had (and there were many) were promptly answered with great knowledge by Carol. She really does know Uganda and Rwanda well and we could not have asked for a better person to organise this trip.
From the time that we arrived and were met by Richard to the time that we had to leave every aspect of our trip was organised with care, professionalism and with our individual needs and wants in mind. Richard is a lovely man, very knowledgeable and a great driver and guide and we could not imagine anyone better to have on this incredible trip.
Uganda is an amazing destination, the primate trekking is one of the best experiences that we have ever had and Carol and Richard made the experience easy, pleasurable and without any stress.

Carol organised a trip of a life time that exceeded our expectations- awesome
5/5

From the first moment that we contacted Carol, she impressed us, her communication which was spot on, a lot of other companies can learn from her professional approach. She listened to what we were looking for and suggested a fabulous itinerary, which went above and beyond that suggested by the big UK companies and for a much fairer price, and for us we hoped for any $ we paid for our trip would go to Uganda.
From the moment we landed in Uganda we were looked after and made to feel special and looked after, from the welcome and flowers on our dinner table on our first night to the fabulous guide Richard, with whom we spent 9 days. Richard, our guide was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, good company and informative, he guided and looked after us keen to ensure that the trip met our expectations, it exceeded them! Carol’s attention to detail was evident, my husband loves birds and Richard guides bird safaris so was able to point out and provide information on all the birds we saw of which they are over 600 species in Uganda. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see not only the big 5 at close quarters, but the Uganda Cob, Water Butt, wart hog, Hippo, Rhino and so many more. The chimp trekking was magical, we were lucky as a mum and baby, came down from the tree and sat with us for a few minutes almost showing off her baby, all the more special as it was Mother’s Day. The gorilla trekking was breath taking and it felt a real privilege to spend time with them in Kibale Impenetrable Forest. The animal high lights, were spotting two lionesses on the hunt on a night safari, being woken at 5.15 by an elephant snoring outside our lodge, then a stand off between a lion and buffalo, the chimps and gorillas, in fact there were too many.
The lodges we stayed in were all very different in character which added to the trip, in each the staff bent over themselves to make you feel welcome, the food on offer was always delicious and varied, the beds comfortable always 5*.
The Ugandan people without exception were friendly and welcoming and as interested in us as we were in them, the majority of Ugandans are leading very very simple lives, that we westerners were living at least 150 years ago and we lead very different lives that neither can comprehend, yet still they smiled and waved welcoming us.
Ugandan scenery is stunning, varying from lush green to savanna and everything in between and the trip gorilla link had organised ensured we got to see all the beautiful gems along the way.
Carol organised a fabulous tour for us and if we go back to Uganda I’d have no hesitation to ask Carol to look after us, as that’s exactly what she did. 10* from us.

Fantastic personal service planning and communication resulting in an amazing Uganda holiday.
5/5

Carol at Gorilla link tours communicated with us on a daily basis via email to develop our personal holiday plan for an amazing holiday . We were met in person at the airport by Carol and introduced to our friendly ,knowledgeable guide,Bob, who accompanied us for 10 days , many many thanks Bob.All the 5 lodges we stayed at were excellent with good food and friendly staff .Bob held all our paperwork for the whole tour , all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the amazing sites .highlights were the chimp and Gorilla tracking and as Bob was local to the area we were very well looked after and I’m sure we had special treatment as a result. At the end of our tour Carol once again met us at an airport hotel to gain personal feedback on our experience print to our flight home a very nice touch which was much appreciated .
I would highly recommend Carol and her wonderful team.

Excellent!
5/5

Excellent company to use for organising your safari to Uganda and surrounding African countries.

First class service and organisation. Very reliable and trustworthy which is critical when you're spending a significant sum of money with a local business who you've no previous experience with.

Carol who owns the company provides a very personalised and prompt service and can tailor an itinerary to meet your requirements and budget.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week safari, including gorilla and chimp trekking. It ran very smoothly and Carol suggested some great lodges, which she personally inspects on a regular basis to ensure high standards.

Mike our guide/driver was professional and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We felt comfortable and safe at all times.

Uganda is an amazing country to visit and I can highly recommend Gorilla Link Tours to provide you with the perfect safari.
