Genuinely emotional
We travelled as a family of 4 last year to coincide with my 50th birthday. Timing meant we were toward the end of the migration so I guess my expectation was somewhat managed in terms of what we would experience.
The team were very engaged during the planning phase, we were met at Kilimanjaro airport and looked after until ultimately leave Zanzibar at the end of the trip, with no real need to check in with Rob and the team as everything was running so smoothly.
Highlights
That time of year is quieter, what that meant was we had the open top Land Cruiser to ourselves every day which gave us absolute freedom to choose our day and what we hoped to see; but we needn’t have worried we saw everything and more.
We were based at Kaz Kaz, warmly welcomed well fed and well looked after by Omi and his team.
I thought people joked when they talked about lions outside your tent at night; it’s no joke and an incredible experience.
The wildlife encounters were thrilling but professionally and respectfully managed by our guide, a fountain of knowledge who worked tirelessly through our trip.
Brilliant, kids even got on with one another so it must have been top drawer!

Fantastic and Memorable Trip
Our recent holiday to South Africa with Tailormade Africa was absolutely spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and the warm hospitality of the South African people.
Tailormade Africa ensured we had a comprehensive experience. We explored iconic landmarks, savoured local cuisine, visited vineyards, and even went on a safari, which was a highlight of the trip. Recently went on a safari trip to Zimbabwe. We had originally planned to go to Okavanga Delta, Botswana but due to the dry season it would have be difficult to be able to enjoy the game we would have hoped for. Clyde at Tailormade Africa (TA) therefore recommended a private concession in Hwange and also a lodge in Zambezi. Both recommendations turned out to be fabulous and our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the trip. All the planning, booking and logistics had been taken care of by TA and the whole trip went seamlessly well with no hiccups at all. The accommodation was of the very highest order and the guides were equally brilliant! The TA representative in Africa, Amy, was in touch which was very reassuring. We have no hesitation in recommending Clyde and TA. It was once in life time experience and they made sure we were not disappointed. Thank you to the TA team for the expericence.

Fantastic Communication, and Excellent Execution!
We had a wonderful safari in Kruger, where we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big 5! The accommodation was exactly like the photos and the staff were all lovely, making us all feel very safe in the "tents". Our guide was also very knowledgable and kept everyone engaged throughout the game drives. Thank you so much to Clyde and the TailorMade Team for making this trip so memorable and exceeding our expectations.

Lifetime Experience
We have travelled well and like to think we are well versed on what is classed as the good, the bad and the ugly. Well Allison & her team arranged, guided and provided a magnificent exploration and first experience of South Africa that was magnificent.
It was a memorable, gastronomic trip from start to finish, Cape Town, Kruger, Franschhoek and Victoria Falls what a holiday.
We will definitely use their expertise, service and valuable knowledge again, and could not recommend them enough.

Tailormade Africa turned our dream holiday plans into the most wonderful reality
Our holiday was a dream 8 months in the making. We approached Rob and the team at Tailormade Africa for advice on how we could build a South African vacation around a Country Music concert we wanted to attend in Cape Town. We were a group of 4 (2 Couples) and didn’t know where to start planning.
Tailormade Africa, right from the go, were brilliant. We gave them a few ideas of what we wanted to see, what our hobbies were, and what sort of budget we had in mind. From that we had back and forth dialogue to advise us what was available, what we should prioritise, and any other suggestions they had in mind for us.
For all of our travelling party, we were novices to South African travel. So we put our dreams in the hands of the team. And boy did they deliver and then some!
Tailormade Africa sent us an online itinerary of our 15 day vacation. Hotels, Transport, Safari .. everything in there that met our needs. There were even suggestions about excursions available if we were interested. We looked at those and chose a couple of extras and even those were Tailormade to our group! Everything was in hand and all we had to do was get on that plane to Cape Town.
Once we landed, everything that was organised for us was perfect! We were met at the airport and taken right to our hotel. Any questions we had we just had to WhatsApp Rob and he was quick to give us advice and help! Even when we wanted to change our transport one morning to fit in a last minute activity, Rob made those last minute changes effortlessly!
We can’t praise Rob and the team at Tailormade Africa enough. We had the best visit to the wine country, the most breathtaking Safari experience, and a wonderful last leg whale watching in Hermanus. We loved it so much, another holiday has already been booked!

Tailormade Tanzania: Rob planned our trip with thoughtful expertise
Rob Morley at Tailormade Africa planned a well-thought-out and highly personalised honeymoon for our August 2024 trip to Tanzania. He took the time to understand our priorities, such as visiting remote areas, avoiding busy tourist spots, and having a range of experiences. Rob was also very careful to ensure he only recommended accommodation with a focus on sustainability and ethical practices, which we really appreciated.
Our trip began at Lake Natron, a quiet and strikingly unique destination. From there, we moved to the Northern Serengeti, where we had excellent wildlife experiences away from the crowds, and finally to Nyerere National Park, with its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife.
What we appreciated most was Rob’s careful approach to crafting an itinerary that suited us. The accommodations he recommended were well-chosen for their balance of comfort, privacy, and proximity to the wilderness. Every part of the trip felt considered and well-coordinated, allowing us to focus on enjoying the experience.
We would recommend Rob for anyone seeking thoughtful and tailored travel planning.

Africa Safari Expert
I contacted Clyde at Tailormade Africa to plan an African safari trip for my family who had never done a safari before.
He gave us a few options to consider which were within our budget, which would be suitable for my family, and also myself having done several safaris. There was no pressure to book and Clyde was happy to answer all my questions re country and camp options, and then fine-tune our trip. His knowledge is clearly very extensive, plus he used to be a safari guide.
Tailormade Africa do not charge you more than if you book direct, BUT you get all their expertise for free.
We had an amazing Zimbabwe trip which my family loved, and they are looking forward to going on their next safari!
My husband and I are now looking forward to our Rwanda trip booked with Clyde.
I have no hesitation in recommending Tailormade Africa.

Rob is very knowledgeable and planned a great trip for the family!
Great experience working with Rob from Tailormade Africa. Planning started with a call with Rob who spent time to understand what type of trip we were looking for and what interests we had as a family. Rob’s knowledge of African safari’s came across on the call and carefully explained the different destinations and he then came back to me with an itinerary with a few options. Haven chosen what we wanted we then eagerly anticipated the trip. Rob and his team were there for any last minute questions and were available through the trip via WhatsApp which was very reassuring.
The trip itself was amazing and the itinerary planned by Rob was great and everything ran super smoothly!. Definitely a holiday to remember and not sure how we top that now! Highly recommend Rob and Tailormade Africa to anyone else looking for a great safari adventure.

Superb service from start to finish!
It had always been a dream of ours to visit Madagascar and Tailormade Africa really made our dreams come true and more!
Although we knew we wanted to visit Madagascar and all it had to offer, we had an obstacle in our way......we wanted to see as much as possible but were limited to the amount of time we could take away from work.
As mentioned, we had always wanted to visit, but we were unsure of where to start and what to do - with so many beautiful parts to the country and different landscapes we were overwhelmed........enter Tailormade Africa!
We contacted them way back in 2022 to book a holiday of a lifetime to Madagascar in 2024. Even though we were looking to book so far in advance, this didn't discourage Rob and the team from doing their utmost best to secure costs and dates for us. They made recommendations on how to get the most of Madagascar with our restricted time all whilst ensuring that we weren't spending more time travelling than we were enjoying our holiday!
After initial contact, we had a 121 conversation with Rob so that he could get to know us and understand our personal travel style and based on this, he was able to happily provide multiple itineraries and hotel choices as a starting point for us to peruse and give us an idea of what's possible, available and different budgets. We were then able to 'pick and choose' and 'mix and match', really ensuring that our holiday was 100% tailored to our needs and wants. No matter how many times we went back and tweaked the different itineraries it was never too much trouble for the team!
Throughout the 2 years between booking and actually travelling, the team kept in contact with any updates, and amendments we wanted to make were handled with straight away - including an extended break to Kenya prior to arrival in Madagascar - nothing was too much trouble!
Prior to travelling, we had another 121 call with Rob to go over our plans a final time and to answer any last minute questions - this is a really nice touch. Tailormade Africa also make themselves available to you for the duration of your holiday too - just in case of any mishaps or information you might need while you're away.
The personal touches that were made throughout our stay at each location were second to none (so much time had passed from booking to travelling that we actually ended up getting engaged and married in between so made Madagascar our honeymoon). At each location we stayed at, the staff had prepared something special for us as a honeymoon treat - and this was all down to Tailormade Africa's organisation and the great relationships that they have with their teams on the ground.
It really was the holiday of our dreams and we couldn't have asked for more - all thanks to to the Tailormade Africa team!
Their customer service didn't end there though......even when the trip was over and we were back to reality, we had a final 121 call with Rob which gave us to opportunity to tell him all about our adventure and provide feedback.
Absolutely 5 star service from everyone and we will definitely be using Tailormade Africa again for our next African adventure!
