Honeymoon with the Gorillas
5/5

Our driver picked us up at our lodging in Kampala on time. He was very courteous and informative for our drive to Rwanda. He checked us into our lodging in Rwanda (excellent hotel!). He returned early the next morning and took us to the Park. We met with our Park Guides, joined our small group and went trekking for Gorillas. Great tour and we were able to spend extra time with our new Gorilla Family. An experience of a lifetime and not to be missed. We highly recommend Devine African Safaris!

Fantastic Chimp and Gorilla Trekking experience
5/5

We booked the 5-days combined Chimp and Gorilla Trekking Experience with Devine Safaris in July 2018 and can wholeheartedly recommend it.
The trip consists of 3 days spend mostly travelling (cannot be avoided, given how far Entebbe, the Bwindi NP and the Kibale NP are located apart), a day of gorilla trekking, half a day of chimp trekking and half a day of a swamp and a community walk. The long travel times are made much more bearable by the beautiful scenery – especially when driving through the Queen Elizabeth nation park, where we were lucky enough to spot quite a few elephants up close.
We found all experiences to be excellent and enjoyable. Even though we mostly booked the trip for the unforgettable chimp and gorilla trekkings, we were very positively surprised by the swamp and the community walks as well.
The accommodations chosen by Devine Safaris were excellent. Especially the Isunga Lodge near Kibale was one of the most memorable places we ever slept at. The food was delicious as well.
We had the pleasure of being chauffeured by William, whom we found to be an excellent driver – we always felt very safe. William was also very knowledgeable thanks to his long track record as a Safari guide and generally a very pleasant person to be around. There was always time along the way to gather some snacks – preferably fresh fruits from the markets.
Going back, the only thing we might do differently is book a longer trip, to also see some other parts of Uganda and tilt the balance between time spend on the road and time spend in the forests.

Amazing!
5/5

We booked a Gorillas Trekking safari with Devine Africa Safaris in Uganda and the experience has surpassed all our my expectations. Nicholas handled everything so well, he was prompt to respond to all my emails and queries and helped us planning an excellent itinerary. Our driver Chris was better than good, very knowledgeable, easy going and caring with very detailed and well thought out answers to our numerous questions about Uganda and the parks. We saw so many animals and for each sighting we got a detailed narration about them.

Our accommodations were also very good and in the evenings we could be happy that we took the suggestions from Nicholas.

We had a very enjoyable time in Uganda and we recommend Devine African Safaris!

Amazing Trip
5/5

I booked a 5 day Safari including the famous Gorilla Trek to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park with Devine Africa Safaris. I spoke with Nicholas about my Safari and he allayed all my fears and even helped in firming up my itinerary. My tour began from Entebbe airport where our guide Chris picked me and drove us to our hotel in Entebbe. The following morning we began our tour in earnest when we were picked from our hotel and driven westward to Kibale National Park in the foothills of Ruwenzori Mountains. We had a great afternoon touring Magombe Swamps and got to see many water birds, hippos, monkeys and elephants. We spent the night in the lovely Primate Lodge with very comfortable rooms and great food. The following morning took us tracking chimps in Kibale and we saw a family of about 10 playing after which we were driven to the savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We spent the night in Marafiki Safari Lodge which was also very good. We woke up to a game drive in Kaisenyi plains and Chris was a master in spotting wildlife. We saw 2 prides of lions, elephant herds, warthogs, bushbucks and many others. We were then driven to Haven Lodge on the edge of Bwindi. This was our last day on safari which took us for the gorilla habituation trek, after registration and briefing by the park rangers. We trekked for about 2 hours and then came to a family of Mountain Gorillas. These creatures are just amazing and we were awed by their nature.

Chis was an awesome guide during the whole of this safari and we had a fantastic time.

Fond Memories from Uganda
5/5

I went to Uganda with my fiancée for the Uganda Gorillas Trek with Devine Africa Safaris with guide Nicholas and he we had an amazing time. Nicholas has mastered the art and science of handling safaris perfectly. The booking and payment process had no issues and the safari was perfectly executed. We made all the stops in our itinerary and the experience was much better than what we expected. We had many remarkable moments during our safari like the boat ride on Kazinga channel cruising next to hippos and elephants, lions in TREES in Kaisenyi but nothing beats tracking the Gorillas in Bwindi. Watching these magnificent animals in their families is an experience I will never forget.

Nicholas made our safari memorable. Listening to his unending stories about Uganda’s history, culture and nature was music to our ears.

We are definitely going to tell all our friends about the wonderful Nicholas and Devine Africa Safaris!

Fantastic Gorilla Trek
5/5

We found that Devine Africa Safaris have an organized system. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The trek is not easy due to the steep inclination of the hills, however the Bwindi Gorilla Trek turned out to be the experience of a lifetime. Watching the gorillas from a close range was an amazing experience, them just going about their business without a care in the world.

Devine is highly recommended!

Gorilla and Safari Adventure
5/5

We've just completed the most wonderful adventure in Uganda game watching and trekking in search of the endangered mountain gorillas is Bwindi. We began planning for this trip last year when our friends came back from Uganda and narrate how they had a great adventure. We got in touch with Nicholas from Devine Africa Tours who had been their guide and started with the preparations. Nicholas was flexible and allowed us to make changes in the itinerary and also we paid in 3 installments which worked really well for us.
We arrived in Entebbe - Uganda and found Mark from Devine Africa Safaris waiting for us and then our Ugandan Adventure began. We visited 3 parks - Queen Elizabeth, Kibale and Bwindi. Each park special in it's own way and with guidance from Mark we wre able to view abundant animals, birds and also experience the Ugandan culture first hand.
The gorilla habituation in Bwindi was special. The wardens gave us a briefing and then we were put in groups of 8 and the trackers preceded us and notified the guides on the position of the families.
We spent 3 wonderful hours just watching the humble creatures paying around, eating leaves, resting and those are 3 magical hours that I will never forget.
Devine Africa Safaris make magic come true and I recommend them to anyone going to Uganda.

Rumble in the Jungle
5/5

We had the most interesting time in Uganda with Devine African Tours. This was our second trip with Devine Africa Tour, last time we only had 1 day for safari as we had come on business and had a very tight schedule. This time we wanted to visit the famous mountain gorillas in Bwindi and a few parks in the process.
Nicholas made us a beautiful itinerary which took us to Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi.
Spending time with Nicholas was quite something. He is a great conversationalist and understand nature, conservation and culture and he loves sharing his knowledge.
We saw plenty of game and enjoyed the great Ugandan outdoors.
Gorillas tracking in Bwindi went on well, and we spent about 2 and half hours with a family of Gorillas. Amazing stuff!!
I recommend Devine Africa Safaris without any reservations

Devine Gorilla Trek with Devine Africa Safaris
5/5

I had the opportunity to visit Rwanda last December when I came with my family to visit my sister for the Christmas holidays ans we also decided to do do a Gorilla Trek as this has been one thing that I have been hoping to do for a long time.

My sister knew Nicholas and she helped arrange everything for us. The experience is second to none. The hike is a bit strenuous and it was raining but when we finally found a huge family of Gorillas all the strain was forgotten in an instant.

Such a lovely sight of a huge male, several females and babies just there eating leaves and kind of posing for the numerous photos that we took.

I am glad to have met this company because they charge very fairly in comparisson to the international operators and are very skilled, well educated and informed making them perfect guides.

Great time in Uganda and Rwanda
5/5

We just came back from one of the most remarkable and memorable trips I have undertaken in recent memory. Nicholas was a darling all the way up until the moment he packed us back on our plane back home. We were impressed by Devine Africa Tours reviews and it being a local company run by locals.
Nicholas had prompt answers for all our questions, logical suggestions to enrich our itinerary and above all most reasonably priced for the same package. We initially thought that we could get substandard service for paying less but far from it we were hosted in the same excellent lodges that we had been shown in the other packages.
Nicholas made our trip fun with excellent English and magical guiding skills. He seemed to pull the animals from the ground and where we thought there was nothing, he ask us to look more keenly and we could see a lions or a leopard that could not see before. I guess this comes with experience and passion for the job.

For those going to Uganda or Rwanda I highly recommend Devine Africa Safaris and you will get a wonderful experience.
