Karongwe River Lodge was an excellent choice, highly recommended.
5/5

We normally book our accommodation with lodges directly, we have been to almost all lodges in Kruger & Madikwe. We contacted Sally from Sabi Sands Reservations at ATC and we asked her to recommend a lodge that is different and somewhere we haven't been. Sally sent us a proposal for Karongwe River Lodge and I must admit, I didn't think much of the place as I haven't heard of it!
We were given all the information, location and the price of the lodge and as usual we did our research and found the lodge quite appealing. It even has great reviews on tripadvisor. Karongwe was everything wa hoped and more, luxury accommodation, big five game and great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karongwe and we highly recommend using the services of African Travel Consultants as sometimes you think you know everything until you find out otherwise. Thank you Sally for your service and your recommendation of Karongwe.

Perfect Game Lodge Experience
5/5

I enquired about a lodge for a 5 night stay and was contacted within an hour by Andy. This was late on a Saturday. He committed to find me good lodge options and did so by the Monday afternoon. All information, advice and instructions were exactly what was required. Once we decided on a location that met our requirements, we promptly received confirmation and payment instructions. Andy responded to any queries promptly. Our experience at Thornybush Waterside Lodge was simply put...An awesome experience. I went there with high expectations and came away with much more than anticipated. I will certainly use African Travel Consultants again and recommend them for finding a customised experience

The best part of the trip to South Africa
5/5

Andy was great. He managed to book us accommodations and transfer to the lodge on a very short notice. We did the booking and traveled to Kruger the following day. The lodge, Lukimi, was excellent and the staff and rangers were very nice, professional, and attentive to every detail. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Most Spectacular Vacation Ever
5/5

my husband Andy and I just came back from a 'bucket list' vacation to South Africa. The biggest focus of our holiday was the safari portion as we felt you could always come back and do Cape Town, wine country, etc anytime but if safari was the most important thing you wanted to 'tick' off your list then you needed to ensure you were going to the right parks with the right people. With the assistance of Andy Saidy (aka Andy #2), we have just returned from a vacation of a lifetime. Andy#2 managed to put together an incredible itinerary (including 2 different lodges) which was spectacular. We were lucky enough to catch everything at the 1st lodge (Lion Sands - Tinga) so the 2nd lodge (Thornybush - The River Lodge) was just "icing on the cake" which included the male lion and 3 females roaming through our backyard view and mother cheetah and baby cheetahs out on drive!!!! They were absolutely adorable. The only suggestion I have for 1st time safari goers is to let them know about the suggested tipping for staff. It's not that tipping was an issue but more that we didn't have enough cash for the 2 lodges, which we could add to our bill but I could tell the staff were disappointed. Highly recommend Andy Saidy and African Travel Consultants.

Best value and excellent communication
5/5

My wife and I booked three nights at Thornybush game reserve with Sally who was extremely efficient and honest, we could've booked the lodge directly but I'm glad we didn't as we were given a fantastic rate and very good advice on which lodge to choose. Sally recommended Waterbuck lodge which was intimate and very private. The staff and the food were top notch, however the game drives were the highlights of our stay. We were treated to a stand off between wild dogs and a white rhino and what a sighting that was!
I can not recommend African Travel Consultants enough, we will happily use them again for our next safari as we feel that we received more value for our money.

Incredible Customer Service
5/5

My experience with African Travel Consultants was awesome! An excellent customer service provided by consultant Andy Saidy. I got in touch with African Travel Consultants on Sabi Sands website by searching on the web. Then I started to online chat with Andy who was so patient and polite to explain everything of Kruger and nearby private reserves. Before him, I got several budgets from other travel agencies, but none of them had his following up (we talked each other even on a weekend). After our contact I decided that Andy was the one who gave me all the best info about the safaris. With great effort he found our suite at Savana Lodge wich was really amazing with very competitive price! It was our honeymoon and knowing this fact he gave us the transfer from the airport to our lodge as a wedding gift surprise! The assistance didn't ended with the deal itself. After our three-day staying he contacted me to find out if everythind happened as we wanted, and of course it did! I really recommend this consultants and African Travel Consultants as well. Cheers!

We had a lovely holiday!
Just be aware that you can't drive from Mala Mala to Leopords Hill because they closed the road. Our intructoins was not up to date and we had to drive back again.

Very experienced and good communications.

I don't really like to write reviews for many reasons, however I feel it's fair to highlight the smooth and professional experience we had with African Travel Consultants. Sally Saidy planned our Madikwe safari and Tau Game Lodge was recommended to us since we didn't know what to expect. Everything went as was promised and we had a wonderful 3 nights stay at the lodge. We highly recommend Sally and African Travel Consultants if you are looking for a hassle free reservation service.

Everything was perfect ,we were upgraded to Rattley's .
The food was really good, the staff was great ,the accomodation wonderful
The safari was unforgottable
We jusy had a big problem with Fereral Airlines because we were late for the plane, they knew perfectly our arrival time and they pretented to wait for us...and they did not.
We were obliged to take a small plane for30000 dollars and ,they refuse to give us any amount of money back.
Andy Saidi did much more than his best but they refuse. With Andy we found someone very professinal ,caring about the customers just like if we belonged to his family. So I asked Andy to organise the trip of our son who is now flying to SA.
I must say that the organisation, the accomodations the itinery, alorsthe things he did for us was just PERFECT!!
he was so nice and helpful that even with our bad experience(and expensive!!) with Federal Airlines ,the memory of this trip is great !!Thanks to him!!
