Africa Cycling is the best active way to experience Kenia, it's wildlife, villages and people.
5/5

We did the Twin Peaks tour. 16 full days (always up early) with Rene as a very pleasant tour guide.

It was a dream trip!

We saw various national wildlife parks and conservatoires while traveling on our (electric) bikes, walking, or in the 4x4.
It is very special to encounter giraffes, zebras, and antelopes while on a bike. It is spectacular to be confronted with elephant families while cycling or walking. Very close, but it felt safe, thanks to the expert guidance of rangers, Maasai, or Rene.

From the 4x4, we saw the complete Big Five. We were lucky 😀.

The vast majority of this tour was on rough roads. (Unpaved, bumps, stones, sand, ruts) This was unexpectedly tough for me. I am used to cycling, but not to this level of mountain biking. Still, the wonderful encounters with Kenyan people in small villages along these rough roads easily outweigh the tired arms and shoulders left by the road surface.

Rene always let the group (five guests) make the choices regarding participation in program activities, taking breaks, having a Coke at a local shop, etc.

The accommodations ranged from simple basics to pleasant luxury. Always with very nice people, a unique atmosphere, and good, tasty food.

It has been an unforgettable, very impressive super trip. Highly recommended.💚
