Amazing safari experience, with a personal touch and very expirienced guide.
5/5

African Heart made first a few proposals, so that we could determine what we want and whats it would cost. For us this is the way to do business. It was always possible to change things and the communication was fine.
From the first moment we arrived we felt the personal touch, from picking us up at the airport until making sure we got everything we needed for the safari, but never to much.
We (5 persons) chose the tented safari and had a great time at the campsites our cook made a fine breakfast and lunch and also the diners in the evening where fine, it's amazing what these guys can do with limited equipment and supplies.
The guide was very experienced and must have eagle eyes, he spotted the animals from great distance and managed to get us close to the animals (we could almost touch a leopard). The guide also was a expirienced driver in the fine safari vehicle.

We had a great time in Tanzania.

Superb organisation and perfect locations
5/5

African Heart organised our safari's and the trip to Zanibar. All was very good, inclusief flights, ferry and transfers. We had a great guide in the parks; Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire etc., and saw a lot of animals. Also Zanzibar was very nice And the accomodaties, lodges and tented camps were perfectly chosen. We had a great time.

top safari
5/5

We-a family of 4- booked a safari with African Heart Expedition. The 6 days camping safari was amazing in all aspects. The campsites in Ngorrongorro, Serengeti and at lake Natron were all located on top locations. The landscape was overwelming. The acomodation was basic but clean. Our cook Foraha was a real prince in his kitchen, our guide Salim outstanding. His 14 years of experience prooved to be usefull in many ways. He was smart, kind and had a nose for spotting wildlife. The fact that we saw 50 lions , a cheetah hunt, a leopard in just 1 day almost looks like a fairytale.
The road to the less visited lake Narton area was certainly an adventure, the visit to a local Masai village fantastic.
Also the transfer to Zanzibar and the stay in Stonetown was well organised by African Heart Expeditions.
Thanks to African Heart Expeditions our stay in Tanzania was unforgetable ! Many thanks to the entire staff!

Highly recommendable !

Dream safari
5/5

African Heart made my dreams come true! Going on a safari was my dream. When I was young, Animal Plant was my favorite TV-show and I was always watching it. The nature I saw on Tv was magical and I couldn't believe that somewhere on this planet it would look like the world I saw on Tv.

A few months ago I went to Tanzania. My trip to Tanzania changed my life. The people, the nature, the culture and the animals were even better than I expected. African Heart organized a safari, perfectly fitted to my wishes. I want to thank African Heart for making my dreams come true. Everything was so good arranged. From the begging till the end. I was nervous about this trip because it was my first trip alone. The people from African Heart helped me and made me feel safe. I will definitely visit Tanzania again.

Thank you African Heart Expeditions!

Safari Ngorongoro/Serengeti: once in a lifetime experience!! Will never forget!
5/5

We booked 6 days safari first Ngorongoro then Serengeti. First time in Africa, for us a big adventure. Excellent organisation, good accommodation, lodges were luxury but tented camp Robanda was the biggest adventure, in the middle of Serengeti, camp fire, everywhere good dinners even there. Our driver Roger was the best, he spoke very good English, was a good guide and spotter. Visited also Masai camp, also a big experience for us. We met the owners of African Heart in Arusha. A friendly couple, good reception, they gave us a lot of information, even help if needed. We still stay in touch. Thanks!

Excellent private camping safari in Tanzania with African Heart
5/5

We wanted to use special-camp sites (nicely private but cost more and have to be reserved) for our Tanzania trip, to replicate a fantastic experience we had in Bostswana. All the TOs we contacted except African Heart discouraged us, pushing tented camps. I can now see why - this is a heck of alot easier for them (basically Motel 6s in the Serengeti). Peter Reijmes from African Heart accommodated our request and arranged a great trip - Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Myanyara, and Tarangire, with a hotel stop before and after. Our guide Josephat and cook Barongo were excellent company. The trip was brief due to our time constraints but did not feel rushed, and we saw lots of wildlife in different environments, as we hoped. We skipped the Masaii visit but went to a weekly market when our tire was being fixed, which I highly recommend. Email communication was more like 48-72 hours rather then 24 but reliable. We wanted to be camping alone under the stars in Tanzania and African Heart helped us make it happen.

Once in a lifetime experience with African Heart Expeditions Ltd.
5/5

After having decided to go on holidays to Tanzania, where we would try to ascent the Kilimanjaro and then afterwards go on safari, we started to search for reliable tour operators. This proved to be very challenging since some of the tour operators either never replied to our emails or did not seem to be very professional. We were also reluctant to transfer a significant amount of money to an organisation of which we had only found a reference on the Internet. Via a friend who knew about African Heart Expeditions Ltd., we got in contact with Peter Reijmes, the Managing
Director. Some time later, I met friends that I had not seen for a long time and it turned out that they had also been to Tanzania. They had climbed the Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro, and had done an 8-days safari with African Heart Expeditions Ltd and were extremely satisfied. They told me I would not regret, and they were right! Our contact before departure with Peter was excellent. He always immediately replied to our emails and was really helpful in trying to find a safari that would fit both our budget and our wishes. Upon arrival in Arusha, Peter came to meet us and together we went over the practical details regarding the Kili climb the day after. He was so enthusiastic that we could hardly wait to start the ascent! We had chosen for a 7-day trekking via the Machame route. Two guides, one cook, one waiter and 6 porters accompanied us. All were excellent. The two guides, Omari Njou and Peter Kisimbo were extremely good and it was thanks to their professional guidance that we made it to the top. The tents and sleeping bags that were provided were of good quality and also the hiking poles we rented were very useful. In other words, the entire Kili climb was very well organised and we are very grateful to Peter and his team for this unforgettable experience.
Also the safari met all of our expectations. Although we did not go to Serengeti, but only to Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater, we saw all the wildlife we had hoped to see: lions (eating carcass next to our jeep), cheetahs, elephants, jackals, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, ostriches, zebras, wildebeasts, warthogs, monkeys, eagles, flamingos, pelicans, all kinds of antelopes, etc. Our guide Bariki was extremely knowledgeable about Tanzanian wildlife and managed to take us at the right time in the right place.
So, to conclude, if you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience in Tanzania, and you are considering to climb the Kilimanjaro or go on safari, I would strongly recommend you to contact African Heart Expeditions Ltd. They will do everything they can to give make your dream come true.

Best safari experince ever
5/5

I would like to share the safari experience I had.

We chose a five day camping safari. There were three of us and we were assigned our own jeep with a cook and a combination guide/driver. We rose early in the morning and after driving for three hours we arrived at Tarangire park. We saw many animals, but primarily elephants. After spending a few hours in the park we were driven to a nearby camping site where we would spend the night. Our cook prepared a three course dinner that was fresh and delicious. Our second day began at six in the morning. After breakfast we had a long drive to the camping site in the Serengeti. While driving we passed through the Ngorongoro conservation area and the savanna. We made several stops during the journey and saw a variety of different animals, masaya villages, and beautiful nature. The Seregenti National Park was breathtaking and all the various animals we saw and all the things we experienced exceeded all of our expectations. We owe so much to our guide/driver, who did an excellent job driving and spotting animals everyone else overlooked (he must have eyes like a hawk). It was because of him that we saw so much more. He took us along a variety of roads and circuits and spent a good deal of time on the road. I believe the extra money we spent on this safari experience was worth it. Our guide/driver made our safari tour one of the best things we have ever done in our lives. We also cannot forget our cook, who with a very small gas stove and torchlight could prepare multiple course meals that were all delectable. The Ngorogoro campsite was very active but held many surprises, including a huge elephant who came to take a drink out of the water reservoir. It was an incredible thing to see. Lastly, we witnessed one of the most awe-inspiring sunsets over the crater.

If you are still unsure over which tour operator to choose, I urge you to consider African Heart. They are a small operator, which makes them especially personal and friendly. You will feel special and well taken care of.

Lots of wildlife to see
5/5

We took the 6-days lodge safari. The parks are all worth a visit. If you like thousands of birds flying around your head, visit Lake Manyara, Tarangiri is a small, but very beautiful park with a variety of animals. The serengeti is huge, you must have seen it and you can spot many lions there, in Ngorongoro , thousands of wildebeasts graze before your eyes. The guide / driver knows and sees a lot. It never gets boring. Really recommended is Kati Kati camp, in the middle of the Serengeti. This is an real experience, especially when the hyenas passes next to your tent . Lake Burunge Tented Camp is very luxurious and you have a beautiful view on the wide surroundings. Isoitok Tented Camp near Lake Manyara is smaller, but definitely worth it. Very tasteful and cozy decorated and the owner Chris, is very friendly. Too bad we could not stay here a bit longer. The Sopa Lodge in Ngorongoro is quite big and busy. This is rather a hotel. You have a beautiful view on the crater here. We get a lot of information from Peter when we arrived in Arusha. I would recommend this safari to anyone. A truly unforgettable event !!
