Our most exciting trip yet - made effortless thanks to Jonathon and his team at Encompass Africa.
5/5

Jonathon Wilson and his team at Encompass Africa really gave us our best trip yet. Initial telephone conversation with Jonathon was enough for us to choose this company. Jonathon was warm, informative and engaging - a pleasure to talk to and later to deal with. He advised us that Tanzania would suit all our requirements for what we wanted from a safari, and we truly loved every single minute. The whole trip was effortless from start to finish thanks to Jonathon and his team and we can't wait to book again! The whole process (about a year in the making) was exciting as Jonathon was always available to talk to and no question was too trivial to be answered. Look no further if you are considering travelling to any country in Africa as Encompass Africa are highly professional, highly knowledgeable and lots of fun!

Fantastic Experience
5/5

Jono and the team at Encompass Africa were very responsive to all our requests during the planning phase of our trip. They only sell trips to Africa, so are experts in this region. We found them extremely knowledgeable. Once on safari, everything ran smoothly. If you are booking a trip to Africa, look no further than Encompass Africa - we highly recommend them.

we wanted to see animals and were unsure about how and when and where, emcompass Africa took us under their wing and set up a perfect tour for us which exceeded our expectations at every turn. we were met by their people everywhere we went, at no time during the trip were we unsure of what was next or where we had to meet. I would never go to Africa again without their help and I am definitely going again. encompass Africa care.

Most Awesome Experience
5/5

I was very hesitant about using a tour operator where I couldn't walk into their office. I live in another state and my usual travel agent could not get us the type of holiday we wanted to experience in Africa. We had been one other time to Africa and used our normal travel agent and after that experience we knew we wanted something different. From my first dealings with Jonathan I could not have been happier. I think the fact that Jonathan was South African and had travelled to the countries he was trying to send us to that was of great help. I explained exactly what our family was after and we are a family of four travelling with two children at that time aged 12 and 11. Most tour operators didn't want to touch us given our children's ages but Jonathan immediately found a tour operator on the ground that had no difficulty in taking us on. We had not travelled to Tanzania before and I said to Jonathan we wanted something more rugged and didn't want 100 cars and 1 animal to look at. We travelled in the Serengeti and then to the Northern Seregenti towards the Kenyan border. Our experience was one in a million and when we travel to Africa again which we hope to be in 2016 I will definitely use Jonathan again. In our experience in Tanzania we hit the ground running in Arusha and stayed a lodge for the first two nights and then went out with Wayo Africa and did camping (like you do in Australia) but in the middle of no where with no one else around throughout the Serengeti. We did break it up one other time staying in a luxury lodge and that was nice. We used mobile safari tenting which meant we changed our camp several times during the 17 days in Tanzania and each had it's own unique experience. At each camp we arrived the tents and meal areas were already set up so there was no involvement by us in setting up the tents or cooking. I could not recommend this type of trip highly enough. Our first time in Africa we had stayed in luxury tented lodges and nothing compares to the type of trip we experienced through Encompass Africa. Our children absolutely loved the trip. I can say I had some trepidation about sleeping in a tent before we left, not worried about the animals out there but more that I was being a bit of a princess. Next time we travel I want the same experience because nothing beats having an area to yourself and you can go wherever you like. I learnt that you don't need a flushing toilet and a running shower because the experience you get on this type of trip is worth every minute of roughing it a little. Having said that we did not rough it when it came to food. I think I had better meals sometimes than I have at home without a hotplate, oven or microwave. On the ground we were looked after by Wayo Africa and we had a driver named James. He was terrific and it is your driver's experience that means you get to see things I think you would otherwise not see just based on their knowledge of the areas you are travelling in. James had been a driver for 10 years and I think we got along well as he also had a child and could relate to our kids. I know at the time when I made our booking with Encompass Africa I could not find any feedback good or bad about them and that did leave me with some nagging doubts but I was definitely proved wrong and in this day and age of the internet I could not recommend Encompass Africa highly enough. What are you waiting for, call them and get that dream holiday to Africa booked, you won't regret it.

Outstanding service in coordinating a trip of a lifetime
5/5

My husband and I commenced a 5 week African holiday in Aug / Sept 2013, during this time we stayed in various accommodation (tented camps, resorts. lodges,B&B's) within 5 countries.
Travelling to Africa has always been a dream of mine and one that I have waited so long to embark on and I must admit that I was not disappointed, it actually exceeded my expectations. This African holiday was absolutely fantastic, the best trip ever (and I have previously traveled to many countries within various continents). My meaning of "the Best Trip ever" was not only due to the natural beauty of Africa or the majestic creatures that inhabit this wonderful continent or the incredible events in which we witnessed, but the way that our trip transpired due to the the fabulous and flowing personal itinerary that Encompass Africa compiled based upon places / events that we wanted to see and do and with the inclusions of their recommendations based upon their extensive knowledge of Africa.

From the very beginning to the very end (after our return) Encompass Africa demonstrated their utmost professionalism in coordinating a fantastic trip that not only addressed the places of interest that we wanted to see and do but to coordinate the unique little experiences of private safaris, pickup / chauffeur service at every location and a meet and greet at airports.

I would recommend Encompass Africa to anyone wanting to travel to Africa (and I have) as they demonstrate professionalism, have extensive knowledge of Africa and listen to what you want to achieve out of your holiday.

Excellent service, well rounded itinerary, knowledgeable and first class staff.
5/5

The safari we undertook was life changing. Prior to our departure, the communications were consistent and frequent. We knew what to expect and had little to no issues with our trip. Encompass Africa had every detail sorted. Even when we had a flight issue during the tour, the staff whom they had chosen to assist, ensured we were looked after and issues were sorted. The safari locations were over our expectations and we cannot wait for our next trip which is coming up this April.

Independent travellers who want a bespoke itinerary will find Encompass are the experts
5/5

We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to do, when and where we wanted to go. Encompass were terrific in putting it all together and in helping us find great deals and accommodation. We went to Victoria Falls, Luangwa Valley, Lower Zambezi, Cape Town and then drove the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth. Everything from the Zambian Safaris through to the multiple stops along the Garden Route were seamlessly organised and everything lived up to expectations.

Safari and Zanzibar with Encompass Africa
5/5

My husband and I took his then 12 year old son on a two week trip to Tanzania in 2012. I organised everything through Encompass Africa and the trip went seamlessly. We were very fortunate to have Paul as our guide for our safari through the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and the Tarangire National Park. All the lodges we stayed in were of a very high standard and it was great not having to pay for anything other than drinks, laundry and souvenirs. We then spent 5 nights on Zanzibar, including one in Stonetown and the other nights at Essque Zali Zanzibar - a fantastic end to our time in Tanzania. We hope to return again to experience a safari at another time of year.

Everything ran to schedule and as planned. Quality of all aspects was excellent overall.
5/5

In addition to comments above, the trip included some side trips and transfers, all of which went very well. Had a great trip over 7 weeks including South Africa, Swaziland and Kenya/Tanzania, including business and leisure.
