Excellent guide
We have traveled with Mussa twice, the most recent time in February of 2016. Mussa was everything we could ask for in a guide - friendly, engaging, funny on a personal side, and a hard-worker who knew where to find the animals we wanted, and how to position us in the best manner to view and photograph them once they'd been found. Mussa was tireless in his work for us, happily meeting us early in the morning to be out at first light, and staying out all day, and always with a smile on his face. Mussa also is very friendly with the other guides, which can have its advantages. For example, one day we really wanted to see a Serval; he let some of the other guides know the night before, and because of that relationship he was told over the radio of a Serval. We would have missed this sighting without his connections. Importantly, I always felt that Mussa respected the wildlife and the rules of the parks, unlike many other guides that seemed to be more concerned with getting the best tip even if it meant doing illegal activities (off-roading, for example). After traveling twice with Mussa, we feel like he's a friend of the family, and couldn't imagine traveling to Northern Tanzania with anyone else.

Mussa made our safari the trip we had long dreamed of.
Mussa has a deep love for and appreciation of the natural world. Through his eyes we watched the lives of many fabulous animals. With his guidance we got close to scenes of beauty, tendernes and drama. We always felt safe, even with vehicle trouble since he is a great mechanic. His keen eye and broad knowledge of African creatures made our safari so rich and full. He is warm and funny. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Our accomodations and the safari vehicle were very comfortable and the food delicious.

Mussa really made our trip. I can't imagine having gone on safari with anyone else!
Mussa exceeded our expectations. His knowledge was over the top on the different regions and national parks we visited. The history behind different species of animals and their life styles was so fascinating to us. The information was effortless on his part. You can tell that he truly loves what he does and lives, eats, and breathes his homeland and animals. Additionally, he was so well mannered, polite, and protective of us. Safety was always his first concern. There are many dangerous situations you can find yourself in out in the wilderness of Africa. He will make sure you get the most out of your adventure while staying within the limits of safety. I have to admit that I cried when we left Mussa at the end of our trip. He's such a great, funny, good-hearted guy. We've remained pen-pals to this day. I could not recommend this tour group any more! The trip of a lifetime!

Excellent - a life changing experience!
From the moment we met Mussa, our tour guide, we knew we had made the right choice with Roam Serengeti Safaris. Mussa was extremely knowledgeable and worked extra hard to ensure we had the best experience possible. He was extremely professional and demonstrated genuine pride for his work. He was very patient with us and happily answered all of our questions (we had a lot).
This was our first time on a safari and our experience far surpassed our expectations. We are planning a return trip and will definitely book again with Roam Serengeti Safaris.

Truly, the experience of a lifetime with an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide!
A friend and I scheduled a 10-day safari in Tanzania with another company for October 2014 and were fortunate to have Mussa as our guide. He has since started his own business, Roam Serengeti Safaris, and I recommend him highly knowing his professional and ethical standards for providing a well-rounded experience and his concerns about protecting the environment and the ethical treatment of animals. He is an accomplished guide and if you are into birds, he also is an excellent bird guide. Even though he recognized most birds by sight, he often used his bird book to teach us more about each bird we saw, reviewing their habitats, behaviors, prey and predators. He did the same with mammals and was able to get us close to most of the mammals and birds we saw. Although we didn't have DSLR cameras, we did use cameras with decent zooms and got some awesome photos, including a series taken of a cheetah kill and the aftermath. I enjoyed seeing him as excited as we were when we spotted something new--or rather, he usually spotted it first, pointed it out, then got us closer to get a good look. Wildebeest Migration Safari
We had the pleasure of going on a Safari led by Mussa. Not only was he an expert with amazing knowledge of the wildlife we encountered and the territory we covered but he was very accommodating and personable. Mussa had great timing as to when & where to be, to view the many sights that Tanzania & the Serengeti offer. We cannot stress how much we enjoyed our Safari & highly recommend Mussa! In our humble opinion, if he’s not THE best Safari guide, he’s without a doubt, one of the top 5 on the African continent!

Fantastic, knowledgeable and amazing experience!
I met Mussa after doing a one week safari in the Serengeti and surrounding area. The experience was truly amazing! But Mussa made it all the better. He knew the ins and outs of the area, was so caring of the environment and the animals and was extremely knowledgeable about the park, the land and everything in between. We could not have asked for a better guide to share this experience. He helped negotiate prices for local goods and visits to the Masai. He was always concerned for our safety and wanted to ensure we had the best experience possible. I will absolutely do another safari with Mussa and Roam Serengeti Safaris!!

Our guide, Mussa welcomed us upon arrival, listened to our requests, and customized the tour for us- he was absolutely wonderful. He is unbelievably knowledgeable about the animals, and he shared that knowledge with us. What struck me most is what a conservationist he is- he has so much respect for the land and the wild things in it. I trusted Mussa from early on and felt very safe with him- he knew how close we could get while staying safe and respecting the animals. This company did not disappoint, and when i go back for safari again with my son, I will use this same company.
