A really smooth experience with Kubwa Five made for a very happy client
A fantastic safari experience with Charles, I had a wonderful experience exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park with Kubwa Five Safari with Charles as my driver and guide for a day and a half, two nights.
The journey from the airport to the park was a long one, but Charles made the whole experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. He was professional, funny and a real gentleman, and his company made such a difference as I was travelling solo.
We had a fantastic game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, where Charles knew exactly where to take me and helped me get some great sightings. I also did the boat trip, which was a real highlight and a completely different way to experience the park.
On the way towards Masaka, we also added Lake Mburo National Park, which was a lovely bonus and gave me the chance to see another side of Uganda.
What I appreciated most was Charles's knowledge of the area and his willingness to make the most of the journey. Whether we were on safari or travelling between destinations, he was attentive to where we stopped along the way.
A great experience from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend Charles to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional and personable guide in Uganda

Flawless, unforgettable Namibia adventure with a fantastic team. Highly recommended!
My brother and I just returned (last month) from a 14-day Namibia Tour in August, and it was truly outstanding. We are both passionate about wildlife and nature, and this was not our first safari, so our expectations were already high. Namibia, and the experience as a whole with Kubwa Five Safaris, delivered more than what we could have expected.
Communication and organization were impecable. Sylvia, who arranged our entire trip, was responsive and attentive to detail. Every transfer, activity, and accommodation ran as planned: so reliability was 100%.
Our guide, Terence, was simply fantastic. Funny, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Where our schedule had free time, he made excellent recommendations for additional activities, such as a visit to a cheetah rehabilitation center and a crocodile farm.
The tour itself was a dream for wildlife lovers. Seeing black rhinos in Etosha National Park was an incredible experience, and the game drives with the lodge's own guides at Mushara Bush Camp were among the highlights of the trip. Sossusvlei was another favorite, with its towering red dunes and unreal desert landscapes. At Lodge Damaraland, we loved the stay and especially the desert elephant tracking.
The accommodations were a major plus. Mount Etjo Safari Lodge stood out for its sophisticated, beautiful accommodations, and the rhino trekking experience there was extraordinary – to find white rhinos. Mushara Bush Camp was wonderful too, and across the whole trip the food was excellent and the stays exceeded our expectations.
For the quality of the guiding, lodges, and experiences, we felt this was excellent value for money. We cannot recommend Kubwa Five Safaris highly enough. Thank you to Sylvia, Terence, and the whole team for an incredible adventure. We hope to travel with you again

A Thrilling, Unforgettable Experience!!
My wife and I are from the St Louis area in the USA. We had never visited Africa, so I carefully researched safari providers. After looking through numerous itineraries we settled on Kubwa Five’s “THRILLING 18 Day Safari”.
The itinerary takes you through the Big Three East Africa countries, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, to see not only The Big Five and Great Migration, but also Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking. It includes visits to five national parks in Uganda, four in Kenya, including the Masia Mara, where we saw the Great Migration, as well as three parks in Tanzania, where we saw the breath-taking Serengeti.
When Kubwa Five said this would be a THRILLING safari they did not disappoint, it was THRILLING indeed. My wife is a photographer and took over 20,000 photos during this 18-day odyssey that brought us face to face with a silver back gorilla and his family, a large family of Chimpanzees (so close they rub against you as they pass by), numerous lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, warthogs, buffaloes, birds, crocodiles, hyenas, you name it. You are thoroughly immersed in nature, more than you can ever be in any zoo, no walls, no plexiglass, no bars, no nothing, just you and these amazing animals in THEIR natural environment, you are the outsider (this will ruin your visit to any zoo, forever…sorry).
In addition to the animals, you will be given the opportunity to participate in the cultures of East Africa, including visits to pygmy and Masia villages, as well as day to day life in a small village in Uganda. I encourage you to embrace this aspect of the tour, it will change you!
From the start, Betty Alum, in the front office, was easy to deal with and very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. At one point, we considered skipping Uganda altogether due to the Ebola “scare” (which is all it was), but Betty reassured us (correctly) that they would take good care of us AND THEY DID! Getting through customs both in Africa and back into the USA was a snap, thanks to the pre-coordination of Kubwa Five and their outstanding guides.
Speaking of the guides, they were very knowledgeable and committed to giving you a first-class experience. Samuel Kansansula in Uganda had twelve years of experience as a guide and it showed, everything was thoroughly explained and we felt well taken care of under Samuel’s guidance. In the Masia Mara, our guide brought along a Masia tribesman who showed us all the best spots in this amazing park as the Great Migration unfolded in front of your eyes. In Tanzania, Ayubu Luhala, who has 15 years of experience guiding tourists in the Serengeti, did an outstanding job of getting us to those unique, little-known places to see some mind-blowing wildlife and an unforgettable sunrise over the Serengeti right out of The Lion King.

The journey begins even before we leave: together with the entire team, we planned our itinerary based on our needs, booking all gorilla, chimpanzee, and golden monkey permits in advance. During the organization process, they provided prompt and precise responses and paid great attention to every detail, from activities to accommodations. Very professional tour operator, great safari with excellent guide
Kubwa is based in Uganda so I was a bit uncertain how well they would know the southern Tanzanian parks, but they gave us very good and specific advise and helped us create a very good, customized itinerary.
Communication was generally very good, although at one point there was a delay in their responses, which I think was because they were very busy at the time. They were very flexible and updated the quotation multiple times as we fine tuned the plan together. We asked multiple operators for quotations and Kubwa was competitive on price and were the ones who gave us the best advise and thus gave us the best impression so we chose them.
Everything worked exactly as planned, and our guide Davis was exceptionally good. We've been on many safaris and we must say that Davis is at the very top of the range of guides we've had. His animal spotting was out of this world, and his instincts on where to find animals was amazing. When you book with Kubwa you will most likely get a different guide than we did, but considering how positive everyone is when reviewing Kubwa, it seems to me they have a very good network of guides they work with across all countries.

We had an incredible safari experience in Ruanda and Uganda. From the very beginning, the service was extremely professional, well organized, and reliable. Communication before and during the trip was clear and prompt, which made us feel well taken care of at all times.
