Everything you can ask for!
We met James during a Safari in Kenya in 2017. Even though we only had a few days together we were amazed by his professional guidance as well as his eye for scenery and his feeling for opportunies for great photography.
Therefore, when planning our honeymoon this year, Wild Portrait Safaris was the obvious choice.
Long story short... The trip did exceed our exspectations and we spent a wonderful time in Kenia.
We can absolutely recommend this company weather your a professional Photographer, Photo enthusiast of even if you just want to exsperience Kenias‘ wildlife first hand.
Beeing an exsperienced wildlife photographer himself, James really knows how to compose wildlife and landscape into amazing pictures as well as how to get the ‚one shot‘ standing out from the hundrets of pictures taken on a safari.

Best thing i ever done.
As a safarirookie i did not know what to expect, but Wild portrait made this trip to be the most amazing thing i ever done in my life. All the nice places we stayed at and the days in the parks, they know everything you want to know, just ask and you will get an answer! It was perfekt, I will absolutely come back!!

Astonishing, educational, entertaining and a truly magical experience!
This was my fourth and the absolute best safari I've been to. A safari that exceeded all, already high expectations, more than I could ever dream of.
Our 12 days safari became an extraordinary experience thanks to James and his colleagues Sammy and Gerard.
James is a fantastic guide who reads the group and goes that "extra mile" in order to fulfill the dreams and expectations in the group. He shares his knowledge in a way that makes you become one with Kenya and the wild life, you sense a feeling of belonging to the nature. It is his great experience and passion for what he does that makes it possible for all of us to see and feel so much of the wildlife and the magnificent nature.
James is also a fantastic photographer and he does his utmost to give you the possibility to get that perfect shot!

A truly amazing once in a lifetime experience
My wife and I spent 4 absolutely wonderful days with James from Wild Portrait! It is by far our most memorable tour experience to date and it is all due to James's passion for what he does and the fact that he is just an awesome person. Whether it was his keen senses leading us to the truly rare on multiple occasions (leopard feeding on its kill in a tree with her cub down below as an example), looking up from great conversation to realize the hours long drives are over or him making us feel absolutely at home in his homeland, James was the absolute best! We left Kenya with unforgettable memories and a true friend.

Fantastic arrangements & memorable trip
Wild Portrait Safaris was recommended by my photographer cousin. James Muchina was absolutely to the point regarding the planning, bookings and making arrangements. Despite having our own ideas, he suggested and tweaked our plan little bit and we found that was a good decision. Right from pick up at Nairobi airport, to the stays, game drives, it was a fantastic and memorable trip. He is a perfect guy to go to if one loves the wildlife and is keen to have full day safaris. His knowledge of the animals, their moves was wonderful. Could get a lot of good photographs due to his well anticipated car driving on the games. Would be him again definitely if Kenya is repeated!

We had a most wonderful Safari experience...they delivered above and beyond our expectations!
Wild Portraits Safari ‘fully delivered on everything they had promised us. The accommodations were excellent and the food was very good. Our two guides James Muchina and Silva Chuwa were very knowledgeable about the local culture, wildlife and had the unique ability to determine where we might see wildlife and the best time to do so. With everyone in our group being photographers getting into the Best light andbposition was critical for us. We came away from our safari completely satisfied with the sense we had found new friends.
