I will only do safari in Botswana with Enjanga.
Enjanga was recommended to me by a classmate who was planning to do a safari for her wedding anniversary. It was not too difficult to select them because they only had 5-star reviews while most others would at least have a couple of bad reviews. We started talks about 5 months before our intended date of tour and customised our own itinerary based on the sample schedule on Enjanga's website. Communications were straightforward, pleasant and honest with Izzy and O.B throughout the planning stage. All payments were done prior to the safari. Izzy the owner of Enjanga met us at Maun Airport upon our arrival and drove us straight to Moremi. All reviews said he is good at spotting animals and he lived up to his reputation by spotting us cheetahs just before we got to our first campsite! This is the beginning of the countless occasions throughout the safari where he pointed out various animals and birds to us; most importantly when we would have otherwise missed them. At the campsite, we were welcomed by his crew consisting of KB the auxillary driver for our provisions, Ogan our chef and Oris our butler. Hence we began our 8-days safari adventure of the eastern bit of the Okavango with the Enjanga team. Each team member made our mobile safari camping trip truly enjoyable and pleasant. It is amazing what Ogan can bake in the middle of the jungle in a make shift oven with hot coal on top! (See lizard-shaped bread below). Thank you KB & Oris for the morning "knock-knock" wake-up call in the morning when delivering warm water to freshen up before the dawn game drive. It is wonderful to see how Izzy has picked up skills from his time in the lodges to provide the same luxury (and more!) for his mobile safari guests. This is the second camping experience in my life and I must say, if all camping experience is like what Enjanga does, I would welcome more of it. We arrived as guests but I would like to think we left as friends that we hope to meet again in the future.

Absolutely amazing team that will make your experience unforgettable
Enjanga has exceed all the expectations for a service of a mobile safari trip we have planned for a long time, and it had made it an unforgettable experience. We wanted to go with a small company owned by locals and we are very happy with the decision as Enjanga delivers a truly high standard service. Izzy is an absolutely amazing guide and host. Born in the delta and with more than 20 years experience as a guide, he has a very deep knowledge of local flora, fauna and culture, but more importantly he loves to share it. Most of the times we would be the first ones to spot the most seeked fauna thanks to his tracker experience which gave us a little moment before more vehicles arrived, and as a proof of his knowledge he helped me identify on the spot more than 130 birds species over the days, from which he only missed 2 names! Izzy is also in every detail on the daily operations and always makes sure you feel comfortable and relaxed, he is very respectful and always up for an interesting chat or will leave you to enjoy the peace of the bush if you wish so.
The team is also very professional and kind, and you can easily tell that they enjoy every bit of working together which traduces on a very smooth and efficient delivery of the daily operations. Dix, Oris and Kobe had made our days unforgettable. They have a great sense of humour and they do their job very well so that you only need to focus on having a great time. Over the days, we noticed several times they picked up some comments or information from conversations we shared from our life and they suddenly incorporate them in the routine which were details that made you feel very special. I absolutely recommend Enjanga to anyone that is looking for a high standard personalised service owned and operated by locals. I would love to go back one day if I can, and it would definitely be with Izzy and his team.

Izzy is a legend
At the end of July/beginning of August 2024, I traveled with Enjanga Tours, i.e. Izzy, for the 4th time, this time alone.
It was an indescribable series of incredible experiences.
The boys, Izzy and his team picked me up at the airport in Maun and we went straight into the bush.
We were in third bridge, moremi and khwai, among other places. In addition to many lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, wild dogs and the "common" animals, I saw civet cats, cerval cats and a pangolin for the first time. It was breathtaking. I am still fascinated by the way Izzy "reads" nature, finds the animals and the warmth with which I was given an unforgettable time. Many thanks also to Orris and Mosh for looking after me so kindly.

Unforgettable Delta experience during our honeymoon!
We have spent three days with the Enjanga Crew exploring the Okavango Delta and it was magical. The service-level, the care and love for detail was outstanding.
We arrived by mokoro in the heart of the Delta and found our camp already set-up in the middle of nature. The mobile tent was extremely luxurious with comfortable beds, hot bucket shower and all necessary amenities. The team was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and the food cooked just over the wooden fire was extremely good. During our mobile safari we had a very good mix between activities to explore and learn about our surroundings.
If you are interested in really exploring nature and at the same time enjoy some comfort and luxury, a mobile safari with Enjanga Tours is a MUST! Thank you for the unforgettable time.

Animal Detector Extraordinaire!
We'd paused at the roadside on our way to Savuti after spending three days with Izzy and his crew in Moremi reserve. Izzy had somehow spotted a group of Kudu lurking in the thick bush next to the road. "These animals are behaving as if there's a predator nearby" said Izzy. Nek Minnit, he's reversing up the road, scanning for tracks. "Look - leopard! Very fresh!" he says. And, right on cue, a leopard emerges from the bush behind us - the first of two very special leopard encounters on our trip. This is just another typical Izzy encounter - his ability to track and spot animals is extraordinary. "Let's go and find those lions we heard roaring in the night"; "Lets go back to that kill - there were some waterbuck nearby and the lions may get interested" and so on. Cheetah, critically endangered Wild Dogs, more lions than you can shake a side of beef at, eagles of every variety, the tiniest Pearl Spotted owlet... the list just goes on and on. Camp food was amazing - how Mosh managed to produce meals of that quality over a fire is beyond me. Orris, the camp hand was a real character and couldn't do enough for our two very demanding mothers.
If you're going on safari in Botswana, I can't recommend Enjanga enough. They did everything to make a bucket list trip a truly special memory.

A PERFECT SAFARI FROM A TO Z

Safari of a lifetime
I was to attend a conference in SouthAfrica and decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and do a campingsafari in Botswana even if I was to be a solo traveller. A friend recommended Enjanga. I wanted to foucus on archeological sites, Izzy, the owner designed a 12 day itinerary. And with Izzy as the guide and Dix as an absolutely incredible chef, baking and cooking on the fire I had a 10/10 experience incl Tsodilo hills with 3000 year old rockpaintings, the Kalahari meeting San people and gamewatching in the Okovangodelta, at Kwai, Moreni, Savuti Chobe National park, Chobe river boattrip and Victoria falls. I can warmly recommend Enjanga tours for solo women travellers with complete security during the whole process.

Incredibile experience on safari with Izzy!
My family of 6 adults traveled on safari in the Okavango Delta with Izzy as our guide in June 2018. We feel extremely lucky to have had Izzy as our guide. He is very intelligent and thoughtful, and his knowledge about the animals and plants in the region is astounding. He is passionate and engaging when he speaks. He is completely professional in every encounter. We always felt very safe during our game drives and walks with Izzy. During our time with Izzy, we learned about him as a person- my husband told me after we left that he thinks Izzy is one of the nicest and best people he has ever met, and I completely agree. We cannot thank Izzy enough for our experience in Botswana with him. We truly hope that we have the opportunity to see him again in the future.
