Well organised Botswana - Zimbabwe accommodated tour
Our planned group tour changed into a private tour due to the cancelling by 4 persons.
The tour was great and well organised with a fantastic local tour guide / driver / cook.
The contact and communication with African Travels was pleasant and good, and they also advised in two well organised tours in Johannesburg for us.

With African Travels we travelled with my husband in December 2022 to Namibia, where we spent about 2 weeks - Private Tour. From the very beginning - the initial contact with Mrs Marijnke - to the flight back home, all the service was absolutely perfect. We travel quite often and love Private Tours, but we have not yet encountered such a high level of service as provided by African Travels. We felt like we were their friends, not their clients. Throughout the preparation of the trip, Mrs. Marijnke was in close contact with us, and shortly before the trip, our Private guide Mr. Saqib, a highly professional and humanly superior person, who was helpful and accommodating, who knew thoroughly the places we wanted to see, was able to advise us on everything and was always accommodating to the highest degree. African Travels made our African dream come true!
Thank you to African Travel our trip to Botswana and Victoria Falls was just perfect. Usually we do organise all our trips on our own but when it came to organise our trip to Africa we immediately realised that to achieve what we were dreaming of, we would have to involve a local travel agency. And we are so glad we chose African Travels! Marijnke and Marieke helped us trough the decision process of what type of trip to organise (a self drive or a mobile wildcamping tour), always being super responsive to our thousand queries. All options presented to us (pre-organised tours and self drives itineraries) were very well explained and both Marijnke and Marieke gave us a lot of advice on also a personal level, which we truly appreciated. In the end we chose a 14 days wildcamping tour, the Botswana Wildside, which was easily one of the best trips of our entire lives. The tour is subcontracted to Sunways Safari, nevertheless, Marijnke and Marieke checked on us during the whole trip to make sure everything was good and as per our expectations! Well… This trip exceeded all expectations we had.!!!!!
Also they responded immediately when we had a slight problem with our last accommodation in Vic Falls and they prompty helped to resolve it. What can I say? Next trip to Africa, should it be a mobile camp, an accommodated tour, or a self drive adventure, we will for sure go with African Travels again!!!!!!

African Travels organised the perfect South Tanzania Safari
Everything Clicked from day one.
Our friendly and professional guide Tom, gifted with an amazing eagle eye spotting ability helped us find so many animals from up close!
The lodges were great and really gave us the "Out of Africa" feeling.
The stay in Pole Pole at Mafia was the perfect finish.
We really were away from it all for 3 weeks.

African Travels made our dream come true
A trip to Africa with our girls (10 and 13) had been on our wish list for a long time.
We chose South Africa in consultation with African Travel because of its incredibly beautiful panoramic route and the possibility to spot the Big 5 in Kruger from the convenience and comfort of your own car. And Mozambique because of its beautiful and mostly deserted beaches, snorkeling, special sea life and relaxed (beach) culture.
African Travels has helped us excellently with the implementation of this, completely tailored to our holiday wishes. i.a. estimating travel distances and finding beautiful (and safe) accommodations is something that is better left to the experts. The accommodations they chose were even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The contact with African Travel was very good, both before and during the trip, they answer our questions quickly and thought along with you.
We enjoyed and recommend this trip to everyone who is in for a Relaxing African Adventure!

Personalised trip thanks to listening to travel preference
For our first trip to Africa we turned for the first time to a travel agency. We are used to scheduling our own trips in Asia but Africa seemed the big unknown and looking back it was a wise decision to rely on the expertise of the experts of African Travels. In a Skype meeting, Marijnke asked how we like to travel, gave us a glimpse of the beauty of Namibia - just enough to make us all excited. After this, African Travels put together a roadtrip through the beautiful country, and provided us with all the information needed to leave without a single worry. Due to Covid, all flights and lodgings had to be rescheduled... twice. When finally the long awaited trip came, we were enjoying every minute during the trip... and after the trip in our memories

African Travels equals service and quality
African Travels: "Service and quality are our top priorities".
I totally agree with this.
Our first contact with African Travels dates back to 2019. The trip was postponed due to Covid and in the end, with our four children, we were able to make the trip this year and it was great. That is of course also due to Namibia and Botswana, they are beautiful countries to visit, but also to Marijnke and her team.
During the three years of preparation, I was always well and patiently helped and I asked a lot of questions to Marijnke. Everything was on time and the way we wanted it. Service is also paramount during the trip. Questions are answered quickly and if there is something, Marijnke and Marieke will make sure that it is taken care of.
If I want to travel to Africa again, I will at least see if it is possible again through African Travels. I don't think anyone else can do it better.

Would book by African Travels again
We had a perfect time in South Africa last summer with our two kids (13 & 18 years old). Totally worth the waiting (planned the trip before Covid). We were very happy with all the effort, advice and organisation skills from Marieke en Marijnke. If we decide to go back to Africa, we will absolutely book by African Travels again. Thanks for the lovely time!
