Wonderful Experience in Tanzania
Everything is so smooth from booking, tour arrangements till the end of journey. First time in East Africa and my experience in general is excellent. Local guides and drivers are very professional. The accommodations are satisfactory. This good experience definitely will bring me back to explore more in Eadt and South Africa in the future.

Excellent Service
We planned a trip to Kenya with Chalo Africa this year. This is our 2nd trip with them, the first was in 2017. They understood our intentions and budget and drew out an amazing itinerary that we are grateful for. The 12-day trip to Kenya was like a trip of a lifetime with a very high value for the money we spent.
Our stays with two different Asilia camps were incredible. The properties were fascinating and every single staff member knew so much about wildlife and birds that even conversations over tea turned super-informative.
We appreciate Smita and her team for efficient communication both before and during the trip. We especially appreciate them for being available for any kind of confusion that came up during our trip.

Friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy!
This September, we had the most incredible safari experience in Kenya with Chalo Safaris. During our trip, we visited two remarkable destinations – the Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Park. Chalo also helped us to organize drivers and visisits to the Sheldrake Elephants Trust and the Giraffe Feeding station – these are not to be missed. I can honestly say that we were able to switch off completely and enjoy the holiday, as Chalo had everything covered.
It was Governor's Camp and the Mara that truly stole our hearts. The camp not only provided exceptional accommodation but also delivered outstanding service and great food. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality left a lasting impression on us. We will never forget the sound of the elephants wandering through the camp before dinner. Safely tucked away in our tents, you could see the herd out the window passing through and hear their rumbles. It took our breaths away.
While Governor's Camp was our favorite, it was also good to have a mix of experiences by staying at a camp and a lodge. We stayed at Old Tukai in Amboseli and really enjoyed the premises and service. One of the most magical moments of our safari was the opportunity to get up close with the birds and majestic elephants at Amboseli. The sheer beauty and presence of these animals in their natural habitat left us in awe and created memories that will be cherished forever. We turned into bird watchers overnight, getting up close with saddle bill storks and lilac breasted rollers and spoon bills!
A significant factor that contributed to our exceptional safari experience was the expertise and enthusiasm of our guides. Duncan and Moses, our guides at Governor's Camp and Amboseli, respectively, were truly exceptional. Their extensive knowledge of the wildlife, insightful commentary, and their ability to locate and track animals enhanced our safari adventure immensely. We felt safe, informed, and inspired by their passion for the wildlife and the conservation efforts in the region.
Overall, our safari in Kenya was an unforgettable journey filled with breathtaking sights, remarkable experiences, and warm hospitality.

Wonderful experience through and through!
I organised a Tanzanian safari for my parents through Chalo Africa and it has been a most wonderful experience through and through. Smita was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she and the Chalo Africa team went above and beyond in curating the entire 1 week long Tanzanian experience for my parents. We must have gone back and forth and changed the overall itinerary at least 4-5 times, but never once did Smita have a problem with it, rather the feedback and back and forth was taken in a positive spirit and resulted into an efficient and experience rich itinerary for my parents. Smita truly cared about curating the perfect experience and fit considering our preferences and this was evident in the trip that resulted. My parents had a most wonderful time, and the trip included Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and of course, the Serengeti National Park. The accommodation choices / tents, the game drives, the bountiful animal viewing, the food and the service, the highly knowledgeable guides, the point-to-point handling of all days, the transit flights - everything was absolutely wonderful and resulted in a delightful overall experience and trip for my parents. Excellent Luxury Safari Experience in Maasai Mara
My family and I worked with the Chalo Africa team to plan a week-long vacation in Masai Mara to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday. Smita, Malvika and their team were extremely responsive from the very beginning and guided us in planning our itinerary. We stayed at two luxury Asilia camps in Kenya as suggested by the team, and found them both to be exceptional camps with incredible wildlife. The camp staff was amazing and the two camps had excellent food — my parents are gluten free but both camps were notified by the Chalo Africa team and accommodations were made for every meal. Smita and Malvika catered to all our travel and logistics requests, booked all internal travel between camps, and even helped us request our guide a year in advance! They were in communication with us before and during the trip over WhatsApp and quick to respond to any questions despite timezone differences. We do not have a single negative thing to say about the experience - everything was perfectly organized from start to finish! Highly recommend for anyone looking to plan a Safari trip to Kenya!
