We recently returned from an incredible safari in Kenya, and we cannot thank the Chalo Africa team enough for organizing such an unforgettable trip! From start to finish, every single detail was handled seamlessly.
The wildlife sightings were extraordinary, but what truly elevated our journey was the phenomenal team on the ground. Our driver was exceptional—incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and skilled at getting us into prime viewing spots safely while respecting the wildlife. Every game drive felt like a new adventure.
The hospitality throughout our trip was equally outstanding. They had selected the best and luxurious accommodations for us every where. A special mention to the hotel and lodge staff, whose warmth, promptness, and genuine care made us feel right at home after long days in the bush.
If you are planning a safari to Kenya, look no further. Their communication was top notch with attention to the tiniest details. They are very prompt to answer all our questions and queries. A perfectly organized trip through regions which very seldomly see tourists
This was not an ordinary safari trip - it was more like an expedition. We traveled through the Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo, with an additional short stint into the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The pre-trip communication with Chalo was always fast and concise. They prepared a very detailed document about the trip itself, with a day-by-day planned itinerary. They made it very clear from the start that this trip is not just another African safari - it will be much more demanding physically, and it can potentially require some changes to the itinerary itself due to eventual obstacles, which can't be predicted in advance. And indeed, there were some minor itinerary improvisations needed, which were handled by Chalo Africa in the most efficient and professional manner.
The whole trip was conducted on the highest professional level. The safety of all the participants was always of paramount importance, and the guides always went out of their way to explain to us the customs and traditions of the local communities which we visited. We were also accompanied by two world-renowned experts in the field of wildlife, so we all learned a lot.
This trip surpassed all my expectations, both in terms of the organization as well as the wildlife seen. I can wholeheartedly recommend Chalo Africa for any more demanding trip to Africa, or to any other part of the world.

Chalo Africa - Truly Above and Beyond
Planning this once-in-a-lifetime, multi-generational trip felt overwhelming at first but, Chalo Africa put me totally at ease and walked me through everything with patience and enthusiasm. Being a planner and a perfectionist, my standards for a tour operator were pretty high, and Chalo Africa not only met them but went above and beyond.
From the very first conversation with Sangeetha, it was clear we weren't just booking a holiday package. She took the time to genuinely understand what we were hoping for - the wildlife we dreamed of seeing, the pace we wanted, and the kind of experiences that would make this trip truly meaningful. The itinerary she crafted was seamless. From the moment we landed in Nairobi to our final sunrise in the Maasai Mara, every transfer, accommodation, and game drive was perfectly timed and beautifully chosen.
On the ground, everything ran like clockwork. The ground team handled all daily logistics in a thoroughly professional manner, and Malvika checked in with us regularly throughout the trip. Our driver and guide Ben was phenomenal - endlessly knowledgeable, and somehow always in exactly the right place at the right time. Accommodations were thoughtfully curated - each camp and lodge felt authentic to its setting, with staff who treated us like family. It was clear that Chalo Africa had built genuine, long-standing relationships with these properties over the years.
We came home with thousands of photos and even more stories. Kenya is magical - but having the right people behind your trip makes all the difference. We're already talking about returning to Africa, and there's only one operator we'd trust to plan it.

Incredible Experiences: The wildlife was awesome. Doing the night safari in Ol Pejeta and the hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara was the icing on the cake!

Our trip to Serengeti
This was our first visit to Africa and we went with ChaloAfrica more by chance than any planning. We decided we will add a couple of days at the start to see and experience Kilimanjaro was out of the planned itinerary but the team took great care in organizing that part of the tour. The places CA suggested were really great and it was a really memorable experience. The rest of the trip, everything had been detailed out to the last dot including sharing likely weather details!!! Recognizing my interest in Photography, a special Photography vehicle had also been placed at our disposal. I have not seen this level of detail worked out anywhere else. At every stage, Smita and Malavika were there to address all our queries and any concern we raised. It is probably the best trip I have made in the last several years. Our next trip to Africa - ChaloAfrica!!
