Fabulous Hotels & Food: Every hotel was unique, and they went out of their way to provide amazing vegetarian food for us.
Comfort & Safety: Our safari vehicle was a brand-new Land Cruiser! Having a snack hamper in the car was a great touch, and we felt incredibly safe the entire trip.
Incredible Experiences: The wildlife was awesome. Doing the night safari in Ol Pejeta and the hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara was the icing on the cake!

Our trip to Serengeti
This was our first visit to Africa and we went with ChaloAfrica more by chance than any planning. We decided we will add a couple of days at the start to see and experience Kilimanjaro was out of the planned itinerary but the team took great care in organizing that part of the tour. The places CA suggested were really great and it was a really memorable experience. The rest of the trip, everything had been detailed out to the last dot including sharing likely weather details!!! Recognizing my interest in Photography, a special Photography vehicle had also been placed at our disposal. I have not seen this level of detail worked out anywhere else. At every stage, Smita and Malavika were there to address all our queries and any concern we raised. It is probably the best trip I have made in the last several years. Our next trip to Africa - ChaloAfrica!!

The folks at Chalo did a great job listening to our needs and presenting options for our 1st trip to Kenya. They led us to the exact right camps for us. Excellent first safari experience
Tom and his team were great from the moment we started organising the trip, his recommendations on how to structure the trip and camps were on point! We had an excellent trip, it was very well organised and everything ran seamlessly from the moment we landed at the airport, having an airside on-arrival greet service was a very nice touch. The Chalo team is very helpful with setting up a pre-call and answering our questions before our trip and during our trip we could always reach out to them via WhatsApp as well. As recommended by Tom, we absolutely loved our experience and service at Alex Walker Serengeti. The camp's location was also great, with limited other camps on the Alex Walker side of the river, we were often the only few jeeps around! The highlight of our trip was our guides at each camp, all very knowledgeable, good humoured and friendly.

Chalo was amazing!
My husband and I started planning this trip over a year in advance with no idea at the time where we wanted to go and where we should stay. I found Chalo Africa while I was looking for potential agents to plan our adventure. We worked with Tom and Malvika who answered every question I had from safari itinerary to deciding on a resort in Zanzibar. They offered advice on international flights which we booked on our own, to all of my luggage and packing questions and which beach resort we would like to visa's and travel insurance. As the trip got closer we decided to add a short stay to the front of our tour before the official safari, a hot air balloon ride and changed our room type in Zanzibar which they were able to do without problem. Tom knows Tanzania very well and we were able to visit the National Park in Arusha and stay at a very new camp for our first couple of days. The trip itself went smoothly from our initial VIP greeting when we landed in Kilimanjaro to transportation when needed and then the safari which was amazing. The Chalo team had a WhatsApp call a couple of weeks before the trip and were there if needed as the safari progressed. We came home and have told all of our friends that it truly was a trip of a lifetime.
We would definitely recommend using them for any safari needs!

Truly amazing safari experience!
Ai Lin, Malvika and team has been fabulous in helping us to plan our honeymoon visit to Tanzania from initial introduction to lodge selection. We had zero idea in the beginning and they were super patient and detailed when answering our questions. They set up a whatsapp group before our departure and reminded us all important items. The safari experience was superb and the camps/lodged we lived in were great. The ground operators Asilia/Siringit were very professional and the guides were amazing! Overall it is a truly delightful experience!

Fabulous !!
We wanted to experience the Great Migration in the Serengeti during the peak River crossing season ( Aug first week ) and were wondering how to go about it .
We were recommended Chalo Africa by one of our friends and it was one of the best decisions that we took !
Smitha , Malvika and their team from Chalo Africa guided us all the way - from planning our itinerary dependng on our budget to giving us options along the way . They also suggested the flights / insurance best suited and set up a whatsapp group closer to the travel dates to be always connected . All internal flights were taken care of by them ( fly in safari is highly recommended especially to Northern Serengeti )
Since it was the peak of the peak season ( Aug first week ) in order to experience the Great Migration and River Crossing they suggested 3 nights in Northern Serengeti . Lodges were fully booked up but they managed to get us 3 nights at the Nyakini Migration Camp which gave us a real out in the wilderness feel ! We witnessed 2 stunning River Crossings not to mention the abundance of other game there.
Then they suggested 2 nights in Eastern Serengeti to get a more personal and private safari experience away from the crowded Great Migration Northern . That was at the luxurious Olmara Camp where it was glamping at its best ! Big cats country didnt disappoint .....numerous sightings of lions & cheetahs with practically no other vehicles close to us .
Rounded off our Tanzania experience with the sureal Ngorongoro Crater where they booked us at Gibbs Farm which was next level luxury !
Chalo africa team was professional , helpful and always listened to all our concerns and we thank them for making us experience being in a National Geo movie in the Serengeti for 6 days !!
