In a single sentence? In just a few days, they managed to change my view of the world and of travel
We booked our vacation in Botswana—a trip my wife and I had been dreaming about for a long time—and decided to go through a local travel agency.
Was that the right decision? It was the best choice I could have made.
Booking this trip with SkyThemeSafaris was a real treat. It was our first road trip, moving to a new campsite every 2–3 days, living surrounded by nature and wildlife. No distractions from all the negative aspects of our world.
As if that weren’t enough, we were lucky to have chosen this agency (for which I’d like to thank Olorato Chombo, the manager, once again), which offers a dream experience at reasonable prices.
But what really makes the difference on a trip like this? The company. My wife and I were lucky enough to go on this safari alone, without any other tourists… but we weren’t alone. Liberty: our guide, our guru, our animal expert, always on the lookout for all kinds of animals (lions, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, honey badgers, etc.); Brighton: our amazing chef who treated us like royalty every day, even in the middle of the savanna; O.P.: our amazing jack-of-all-trades, always attentive to detail and kind in every way.
I’m sad to be back in Italy, but I’m smiling because I’m sure this isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later… we still have the Kalahari and the Makgadikgadi Pans to discover.

We had an AMAZING experience with Sky Theme Safaris after being recommended by Safaris By Ella.
The owner Olly arranged everything for us in a timely manner, not easy with only 10 days notice. We had a fantastic guide in Mopane (known affectionately as Muffin). He was an incredible, highly trained tracker with an innate ability to take us (and radio assist guides from other trucks) over tricky terrain to catch fantastic sightings such as a cheetah and her 3 cubs, 2 lion prides, leopard, ... I could go on. He was known in the park as the Lion King/Whisperer, the other drivers would tell us this ... and to top it off he is just a lovely human being. We also had a brilliant chef in Eddie and his assistants Omphile and Raps made sure we were warm and comfortable at all times. Together they were a great team!
We have been on at least 10 game drives/safaris in several countries now and this was by far our best experience; a truly wonderful adventure. I can highly recommend Sky Theme Safaris

Great adventure!!
Communications were very easy and Olly replied fast to all my emails/contacts.
They make sure to do the perfect itinerary that fits your ideas!! We were a family from 9-80years old so they tried to do their best to fit our needs.
The rides are long and hard for older ones so I’d advise to maybe stick with fewer parks if that’s your case.
They cook us most of the time international food!!
All the team was amazing ! Our guide Liberty, was AMAZING!! He had a true knowledge about all animals, and would always find the animals before anyone else :))
The camping is comfortable, although keep in mind it’s a campsite!
Overall amazing experience, would definitely repeat again with the same company!!!

Botswana safari Maun to Victoria falls
Highly recommend Skytheme -
We did 9 day safari and collected from Maun and travelled up to Victoria falls.
Having not camped for years we found it was brilliant- beds comfortable and showers worked great and the team worked so hard to provide amazing meals/warm water waiting for us at the end of the game drives. We felt clean and looked after. We enjoyed the sounds of the wildlife around us.
Moremi/Khwai/Savuti 2 nights in each were amazing! The travelling between each is essentially a game drive as you go. The 5.15am wake up for breakfast has you out of camp by daybreak at 6am each morning.
Liberty our guide was superb-enthusiastic and knowledgable and totally professional. He worked so hard to find/track the wildlife each day.
The density of wildlife including family of cheetahs/hyenas/breakfast interrupted by wild dogs on a hunt that we were able to follow/leopard on 3 separate occasions with lions and elephants daily and over 100 species of bird…. And we usually had it all to ourselves with hardly any other vehicles… great time for birding in Sep/Oct as fewer leaves on trees so visibility good.
The river trip on Chobe River was fantastic -and there is a heronry full of herons/storks at the end if you ask your driver to pass your starting point and go slightly further downriver -which we went to approaching sunset and was very atmospheric!
We were nervous at handing over so much money to a small company -but Skytheme were great-fully equipped/punctual and experienced and totally professional-would certainly book with them again.

Brilliant Safari
We did the 10 day safari from Main to Vic Falls in June 2025. Cannot praise Olly and his team, particularly tour leader Brian, for an unforgettable safari through the heart of the Delta and north to Khwai and the Chobe. Nothing was too much trouble, Brian & the team were always informative and helpful. Brian’s knowledge of the bush and relationships with the other guides (from different operators) at each individual safari area ensured that we were able to enjoy amazing sightings, including a lioness with very young cubs, a pride of lions with four males and five females on a kill, a leopard close enough to the safari vehicle to touch, buffalo, and more elephant than we could count. Cannot recommend SkyTheme enough and we would go again in a heart-beat.

Brilliant, accommodating and knowlegeable
Olly, the owner/operator, was very accommodating while we were planning the trip, nothing was too much trouble - all the while keeping value for money front and centre. Brian, our tour leader, and his team, made the safari a seamless experience for all of us. The key, we think, was Brian’s knowledge of the area and relationships with other guides who all co-operated on sightings so we saw amazing outcomes - a lion pride resting near a kill with 3 males, 5 females and 4 sub-adult cubs, a leopard close enough to touch using our vehicle as cover, more buffalo, elephant and hippo than we could count. A true trip of a lifetime and we would go back tomorrow.

Amazing!!!
My family and I enjoyed a one-week long safari in Botswana and Victoria Falls with SkyTheme Safaris. Olly and his team were very attentive when it comes to our likes and dislikes. They catered the menu and drinks directly to what we enjoy. The food was 1st rate and the friendship and camaraderie even better. Olly's brother Liberty was our driver and was outstanding at helping us find lions, leopards and cheetahs, not to mention a honeybadger and ostriches. I would highly recommend working with SkyTheme for any of your safari needs. Olly is extremely responsive to any questions or concerns that may pop up. Absolutely Amazing!!!

Absolut amazing!
Our safari was absolut amazing. We saw everything what we wanted. Our guide KB was very experienced and cool. The team was nice. The food was delicious. The communication was excellent.

A tour service that exceeded our expectations!
We had a great game safari in Botswana travelling from Maun to Kasane, passing through Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta and Kobe National Park. our driver, Doctor, was an excellent guide and a driver. He was relentless in his effort to show us as many lions and leopards as possible. He would go the extra mile to track the foot prints of the lions to reach their hide-outs; though not always with success. We saw lions galore. We also had the privilege of receiving excellent services from three people (chef, waiter and a helper) who accompanied us to the camp sites. The chef cooked delicious meals for lunch, dinner and breakfast. They were so good that we asked about the recipe for almost every meal. The waiter was a young man who was eager to do anything we asked him to do. The helper was equally good by making our beds, providing us with hot water whenever we asked and doing all other chores exceptionally well which fell under his responsibility. Our tented bedroom was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. It was the first time we stayed in a tent and our experience was wonderful.

Amazing experience
