Great safari, pity about the construction.
Overall we had a fantastic time. The northern half of Murchison Falls National Park is beautiful, with all the wildlife we were hoping for. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Budongo Chimp Tracking are both magical experiences; it was an incredible privilege to be on foot and so close to wild animals.
All of our guides were fantastic, helpful and informative. They all added a lot to our experience.
Sadly, it seems an accommodation hiccup caused a last-minute timetable rearrangement, which meant we spent a big chunk of time driving through construction and roadworks in the southern half of the park.
Bushman Safaris organised really nice accommodations for us, and aside from the unexpected changes causing some uncertainty, we were really happy with the experience we had. We'd love to see more of Uganda sometime!

Amazing Uganda Safari Experience!
My wife and I are so glad that we chose Bushman Safaris for our Uganda adventure! During the booking process Kate responded to all of our questions very quickly and was super helpful. Our guide Joseph was excellent, knowledgeable, and fun! He took great care of us the whole time and brought us to so many amazing places. We would definitely recommend Bushman Safaris to our family and friends.

It was just fantastic with a thrilling programme
Bushman Safaris with Kate (office) and Peter (guide) was the best provider - all contacts in advance for our tour and the guidance and care during our holiday was brilliant and very cordial - we just spent a wonderful time in Uganda

12d safari in Uganda
The trip was excellent. We spent 12 days in Uganda in 4 different areas : Bwindi forest, Queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale park, Murchison Falls park.
Treks in Bwindi and Kigale to see gorillas and chimpanzees up close were incredible. Amazing experience to stand 7 meters from such animals.
The usual way to explore the other parks is in open suv. We saw plenty of elephants, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, warthogs, etc also some lions, a leopard.
A thing to know is that guides are not allowed to leave the road in ugandan parks (as opposed to Kruger park private reserves in South Africa for example) so it can be difficult to see some animals up close (we weren't that lucky with lions for example).
Service from Bushmans safaris was good, everything went smoothly with Kate and Joseph, they were able to change accommodation and program on the spot for example.
I would warmly recommend this trip especially for gorillas and chimpanzees.
Great company, top notch experience!!
From beginning to end we had a wonderful safari experience. Kate Okellele at Bushman was our main contact and organizer for our 18 day
tour covering much of Uganda, including Mabamba Swamp for shoebill viewing, Sipi Falls, Kidepo National Park, Murchison Falls NP, Kibale for chimp viewing, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking, Lake Mburo National Park, Lake Bunyoni canoeing, and Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Basically we circled much of Uganda countercloskwise. Kate made it very easy to arrange the entire trip by email. Every time I had a question I would contact her and receive an answer and explanation within a few hours at most, always the same day. Ours was a camping safari, which added to the excitement since we had the opportunity to hear African sounds at night, such as hippos, and lions roaring in the distance. We were provided with a very experienced and knowledgeable guide/driver named Richard Mukasa for the entire trip. Our vehicle was a large Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 with a poptop. I wouldn't hesitate to sign on again with Bushman Safaris for future trips.

worriless wandering
For the time we spent in Queen Elisabeth and Lake Bunyonyi, Bushman Safaris booked our accommodation and made sure our days were filled with safaris, lake cruises, comfort and a hotspring. Perfect worriless traveling

Stephen was a great guide!
My husband and I completed a 12-day birding and primate safari with Bushman Safaris. Our driver & guide, Stephen, was fantastic! He’s an excellent birder and an experienced guide and professional. We appreciated all the little details he saw to for us (drinking water, checking us in to the hotels, helping us find an ATM and gum boots, etc.) and felt safe and cared for in his hands. We learned and saw so much because of him! Most of the lodges/camps we stayed in quite lovely with good, healthy food. When organizing the trip, I communicated with Kate who was very professional, organized and clear in her communication. It was mostly because of her that I chose Bushman. Shortly before our trip, Kate left and other staff took over our account. These folks were not as professional or friendly and communication was frustrating. I hope they can improve these skills for future clients. Besides the staff communication, where I think Bushman could improve is being clear about what’s included in an itinerary and how long it realistically takes to get from place to place. (GoogleMaps was typically accurate on driving times.) We spent way more hours in a vehicle than we wanted and went to a few destinations that had little value for us. The roads in Uganda are bad once you get off the main highways, so that’s something that guests should be prepared for. It would have been good to have a focused consultation with them prior to finalizing the itinerary to really understand what to expect.

Unforgettable Experience with Bushman Safaris
We had a fantastic experience with Bushman Safaris. Kate was instrumental in organizing our trip across Uganda and Tanzania, and everything as extremely well coordinated. A highlight of our journey was the incredible gorilla trekking at Mgahinga National Park — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Throughout the trip, we felt very well looked after. Even when we encountered delays and cancelled flights, Kate stepped in immediately and went above and beyond to support us. Her dedication and professionalism made a real difference, and we’re very grateful for all her help. Highly recommended!
