Be careful, not reliable and fraudulent!
We recently tried to book a safari with them but after a deposit was paid they stopped all communication, since about 2 weeks now. If you want to avoid a lot of trouble which ruins your holidays, do not book with them!

Posted on Sep 3, 2024 I sincerely apologize for the distressing experience you had with your booking with us, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been, especially with your safari approaching.
However, we are aware that you brought this issue to our attention almost a month before your safari, and I regret that our communication was not as timely as it should have been. This situation is certainly not reflective of the high standards we strive to maintain at Lamara Tourism and our quality of our safari experiences.
Regarding your request to cancel the booking, we respect your decision and we are ready to initiate the cancellation process. And the first step is usually filling the cancellation form then we process the refund accordingly, which is provided once a formal cancellation is requested.
While we deeply regret that this situation has led you to reconsider your plans with us, I kindly ask that our agents not be intimidated or threatened. We value honest feedback, whether positive or negative, as it helps us improve our services. Your insights into what went wrong are invaluable, and we will be taking steps to ensure that similar issues do not occur in the future.
Wishing you all the best.

Scam! Be very careful with this Company!
I was terribly scammed by Lamara Tourism! I booked a 3 day Masaii Mara fly-in safari which required a deposit of 862 USD. After the deposit was received, they started ignoring my messages once I asked for further details which was the first sign that something was wrong. I then reached out to Mara Serena Hotel where we were supposed to stay but they confirmed they never received any payment from Lamara Tourism and therefore the booking was cancelled. Lamara Tourism is a highly fraudulent company, please avoid them at any cost to avoid a lot of trouble and a loss of money.

TERRIBLE
NOT RECOMMENDED. Avoid booking tours with this company. We reserved a private safari with this company and agreed on an itinerary including two game drives (3 hours in the afternoon and 2 hours in the morning next day) for every national park in our tour. The day of our tour, the driver (not even the tour office) informed us that the game drives in the morning were not possible because the parks changed their re-entry policies. The change in policies is totally understandable, but the lack of transparency is not. We did not have the option to decide whether a tour with only 3 hours of game drive a day nor had we replacement activities in the mornings. The tour was very expensive and we spent most of the day driving to the parks. Furthermore, the driver was very rude, poor in English communication and very irresponsible on the road. The first day when we had only 3 hours in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy park, the driver took us to the park very late (3 PM) even if we were ready to leave at 1:30 PM. It rained that day so we were not able to see the chimpanzees, which was the main reason to visit that park. When we arrived to see the rhinos he did not even explain us where to go or what to do, so we also missed that. In general, very bad organization from this company.
