Great experience!
My experience (went two times with Green Hippo) is great! We could just tell them what we wanted to do and they arranged it perfectly for us. Our very own personal tour. The comminications were very fast and on point.
The tour itself was amazing. We got the most wonderful driver. He knew everything about the animals and the history of the parks. My sister is a birdwatcher and Green Hippo provided us a driver who knows everything about birds. Great experience!
The parkfees in Tanzania are expensive but totally worth it. They have a lot of rangers who keep the parks save for the animals aswell for the tourists. There are not many people in the parks so you really have the feeling that you’re alone in the world. It was just wonderful.
P.s. Book a night in a tent in a Safari park. Its amazing, the animals walk just around your tent

Professional organization, very friendly and focused on customization.
Astrid and Karin are very experienced because they have been living in Tanzania for years. And with their Western (Dutch) background, they feel very well what we like in terms of activities, locations and price-quality ratio. A very good organisation, with a very good service from begin till the end!
The enjoy of our journey started with the info we got before.
The trip started with a flight to the west off the Serengeti. At the arrival we became a very pleasant "Karibu sana". After that we traveled for 3 days in the Serengeti and we saw a lot of animals and wildlife. The second day we were witness of the Great Migration! A great event to see, hear, feel and smell!!
The lodge was very beautiful and it had all kinds of luxury. We enjoyed that very much!!
Over all: it was a very great Journey organised bij Karin. Thank you very much for that!!

Reliable and flexible in organizing an unforgettable journey!
The puzzle of choosing the best route and lodges for our family with three kids was perfectly supported and advised by GreepHippo Travels and proved to be even better than we wished for! Communication during the planning and the trip itself was accurate, reliable and there were no unexpected extra costs or setbacks otherwise. We had a fantastic time in a beautiful country and enjoyed every moment.

Honest, friendly and coopertive way of working. Work with locals in a sustainable way
Bejond expectations. What a culture and wildlife. Great way to experience Tanzania. We mixed basic own tent nights with lodges, we mixed safari with culture, we mixed active with driving.
Lot of driving if you want to discover Tanzania, mainly dirt roads. Would not advice to bring kids < 14. Their way of live and envirement is so different than ours, which makes its real travel..

Extraordinary experience with the best safari driver
We want to thank you so much for everything ! It was even nicer than what we expected ! The Serengeti was amazing with The Great Migration and also we liked very much the Tarangire :) And Gibbs Farm was such a nice place ! Festo also was sooooo nice and so well prepared, he told us so many interesting details about the animals; also, he was very attentive to details about our wishes ; we really had a good connection with him, he is a very nice person, definitely we will recommend you and him to our friends in Romania who will come in Tanzania this year and the next year !

We had an amazing experience
We'd booked this tailormade trip a year ahead and had to make some changes due to corona. Karin & Astrid were super helpful in both planning the perfect Honeymoon as well as making the needed changes like moving the dates without any problems. We completely trusted their expertise in the best locations to visit as well as the best accommodations to stay in, and they did not let us down.
We've seen amazing landscapes and animals, met lovely people and ate great food. We were often surprised by sweet messages written in flowers on our bed and were well taken care off by chauffeurs, guides and lodge staff. By the end of our trip it was hard to say goodbye, but we'll take home a lot of great memories.
I would highly recommend Green Hippo Travels, they made our Honeymoon worth every penny. They took care of us from beginning to end and although we did not have any problems they kept in touch the entire trip to make sure we had the best possible time. As they say in Tanzania, Asante sana!

Great personal advice and support
Our first contact was back home, in 30 minutes we learned about the team and the travel opportunities. Options were communicated transparently. Super helpful. We took time to write down our thoughts and were offered a tailored travel plan accordingly. Within budget and aligned with our needs. True personalization.
Once we arrived at our destination, we got a personal debrief on what to expect and some tips & tricks for the trip itself. Again, personal, relevant and with great detail.
It lead to a perfect holiday. We enjoyed safaris, cultural local trips (cooking, coffee, maasai) and relaxing time in Zanzibar. Just before our departure we again were reached out to with all the latest and greatest info (eg PCR testing needs), reassuring us all the way.
So yes, Green Hippo comes highly recommended. We enjoyed a tailored, beautiful Tanzania trip. Thanks!

A very rewarding once in a life-time opportunity
Over all the trip was fantastic! The guides and ranger were knowledgeable, supportive and were easily able to set a perfect pace according to our group. The cabins were great and clean and we enjoyed having the entire place to ourselves! The food was delicious and provided sufficient energy for our climb! The other staff in the team were very kind and professional. Things that I could suggest for improvement for green hippo travels is the lunch pack for the first day, we would love to see your environment consciousness within our lunches, possibly using less single use plastic. Thank you so much for our amazing trip!
