Dream Wildlife Experience
5/5

The communication before the safari was excellent; Anita helped us arrange everything before the safari to the end of safari. I visited Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park and Serengeti National Park a '6 day wildlife adventure'. We had an absolutely amazing guide Lucus who really loved what he did and provided the best service, the food was delicious. It was the best way to experience wildlife adventure.

We just came back from a trip organized by Serengeti Camping Safari. It was wonderful! They prepared an individualized itinerary based on what we wanted to see. Their customer service is great! They responded to my inquiries immediately!

Fabulous experience
5/5

Planning the safari ( 4 days safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and lake Manyara) was really easy as the communication was efficient and clear ( on WhatsApp).

Once in Arusha everything was organized from the start to the end : transportation from and to the airport, hotel nights in Arusha the day before and after the safari..

On the safari the camping sites were clean and in nice spots, the food was amazing ( thank you to our chef Tito!). Our guide Freddy knew so much about the wildlife and he made our trip so interesting !

Everything was perfect, I’ve done other safaris but this one was definitely the best !
I highly recommend Serengeti Camping Safari!

Thank you !:)

Wonderful Safari with great accommodations and reliable organization
5/5

We went on a 5 day group Safari including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and we had an absolutely amazing experience. We booked with Anita and she is an absolute star. Everything was perfectly organized and we always felt well taken care of - from the communication in advance of our arrival over the pick up from the airport, tips for the time spent in Arusha and availability during the safari. Also, the safari itself was great: all accommodations (lodges and tented camps) were wonderful, we had a nice and experienced driver and saw a lot of animals (including the big 5). All in all, an absolutely amazing experience!

Amazing safari once in a lifetime experience
4/5

The locations/lodges were amazing beyond the expectations.
Drivers were nice Sahidi and Habibu were great guys.
Anita was easy to communicate and give the information on time.

Downside they charge a bank fee for payments with credit card of about 4-5% that was never mentioned.
In addition tips are mandatory and established amounts per day so a suggestion is to include it in the final price to don't run out of cash during the trip

Other than that everything was amazing every single day.
This time of the year was full of animals the migration is impressive and a lot animals are in calving season.

Look No Further: Once in a Lifetime Experience!
5/5

My husband and I wanted a good vacation in Africa specifically in Tanzania, we had no idea where to start searching for tour companies that will provide that. We came across Safari Bookings which offered a lot of tour companies, after several options we came down to Serengeti Camping Safari. We emailed the company and boom this amazing lady Anita came through; she was quick to respond to our many questions without any hiccups. She has her own way of making you feel special and welcomed; she wears her smile all the time. At the end we decided to book our safari with Serengeti Camping Safari and believe me it was worth it!
We stayed for 10 days and had 8 days safari with the title “African roots” indeed it was African roots, we visited Tarangire N.P, Lake Manyara N.P, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti N.P and visited the Hadzabes of Lake Eyasi. The whole experience was beyond our wildest dreams from the hotels to the national parks, the wildlife encounter to the cultural experience with the Hadzabes. Lucas our guide/driver was great he made sure we were comfortable all the way, we saw the lion pride at Serengeti and Ngorongoro, not only that but we spot all the big five… At Lake Easy, we had another different experience absolutely no where to find such a unique and incredible people the Hadzabes. We were opportune to spend a day with them; with different activities to do like hunting of animals and we got a dik dik, making fire from rubbing some wood which was impressive and gathering of fruits. The children were so curious, some were shy but we were honored to experience it all. The whole safari was fun!
We have NO regrates choosing Serengeti Camping Safari and we highly recommend this company!

Excellent organization of our safari
5/5

It was one of the best adventures of my life! Everything is organized just fine. We were met at the Arusha airport with a sign, taken to the hotel for the night. In the morning of the next day, a jeep came for us and we went to the national parks. 2 days in the Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro with two nights in campsites. There are 6 people in jeeps + a driver-guide and a cook. The safari itself exceeded all our expectations. We saw a lot of animals, including the big African five. The food during the safari was great, every day the chef surprised us with something new.
Special thanks to Anita, who, from the moment of booking a safari in Russia, was constantly in touch with us via watsapp and answered all our questions.
We can safely recommend Serengeti Camping Safari.
Thank you again!

Unforgettable moments
5/5

We booked our 3 days safari through Serengeti Camping Safari. We had a very professional guide at all times, arriving when we agreed even though we were often quite late and he was always being ready to answer complex or repetitive questions.

Great Safari with efficient and fast communication and organization! Ask for Anita ;)
5/5

I booked a 5-day mid-range group Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks with Serengeti Camping Safari for me and a friend. My contact point was Anita, who went above and beyond for us! The communication with her was always fast and reliable, she provided a lot of helpful advice and information in the preparation phase, and even helped us getting set up with a local sim, exchanging money etc. upon arrival. When I mentioned that I love mangoes, she bought me a bag of them on the local market to take on the Safari :).

During our stay, everything went smoothly. Airport pickup and dropoff worked perfectly, as well as the introductory briefing and payment. We had a last minute change of plans (Lake Manyara National Park was flooded, so we had to change to Tarangire) but the reasoning was well explained and we were offered to stick to the original plan at no extra cost after the rest of the group had already decided to go with the proposed change. Our accommodations were absolutely amazing and for Serengeti NP (where we stayed for two nights including New Years) we even received a last minute upgrade to a fabulous lodge. Our driver/guide was nice and provided a lot of insightful information. When returning to Arusha, there was a little misunderstanding with our hotel (which was part of the package), but that wasn´t a big deal, and Anita stopped by once again to make sure that everything went well (we really loved her!).

The only thing that led to some complications during the Safari was that people who booked low-budget and mid-range were put in the same car. So we lost some time in the morning and evening picking up and dropping off people at different accommodations. But due to the low number of travelers during the pandemic, of course it may be necessary to mix groups. This is just something to keep in mind if you consider booking a private safari instead. Another thing is that the travelers in our group who booked low-budget were not very happy with their accommodation (it rained during our visit and the camps were flooded, tents provided by campground were not waterproof etc.). However, I understand that they did not book with Serengeti Camping Safari but with a different operator. And the weather risk is obviously not on the company either. Just another thing to consider for future travelers when deciding on which type of safari you want to book. The extra money for the mid-range option is absolutely worth it!

Well done, despite the lack of actual camping!
5/5

I probably wouldn’t have used this company if not for the effort and attention to detail by Anita, my point of contact. She was really professional and helpful, beyond what was expected.

The safari was good. I’m not particularly a fan of organized group tours but I did enjoy myself. I think many safaris are probably similar since the routes are shared and guides/drivers communicate with each other to converge on the leopard or whatever was spotted. The drive to arrive at the first parks is slow... the drive back on the last days is much faster... yes, I mean the actual speed. Not my style, but be prepared for them to stop at those touristy places on the side of the road that sell crafts or a visit to a village where you can pay for the Maasai to sing and dance for you...

Due to the possibility of rain and we stayed at lodging rather than camping, despite the absence of actual rain. Everybody was very pleased with a shower and a bed- although I would have preferred actual camping. There were fire pits that were not used- and evenings were pretty much eat and go to bed... perhaps with a more lively group or escort (some were sick) it would have been good to have at least one evening of extended conviviality.

The food was certainly a step above the boxed lunches I observed in other groups. Don’t expect strong flavors, spices or rich meals; it will be bland for some, including myself, but I understand this approach is to please the majority. That said, our chef, “Dullah”, is quiet but always pleasant in demeanor and did really very well in preparing good and healthy meals with limited resources.

Our guide/driver Lucas, as well as Dullah, seemed to give the group a certain space, but were always on call if needed. Lucas, was somewhat aloof, but always courteous. What makes Lucas really shine as a guide is his extensive knowledge of the wildlife which surpassed my expectation. He knew just about every single mammal, bird, and even the plants, and not just the common ones. On the rare occasion he wasn’t sure, he knew exactly where to confirm in the wildlife guide book. I ended with a list with well over 60 different species.
Overall; I recommend! They’re good people, and you will have a great experience.
