Well organized company that helped us have the best experience
Samora Explorers provided us with an amazing safari experience. They provided us with all the information needed to have a great trip and were very communicative. The pick up from the airport was easy, the food provided was delicious, and all the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Lastly, Reggie our guide was the best we could have asked for. He was friendly, informative, and was amazing at finding all the animals (we saw pretty much everything). And his English is really good too. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. I wouldn’t want any other guide! Thank you for a once in a life time experience Samora and Reggie! I hope whoever is reading this has the privilege of having Reggie as their guide.

Safari of our dreams - unforgettable experience
In second week of September me and my wife did a 6-day private safari in Tanzania, organized with Samora Explorers from Arusha, and we could not be happier with our experience.
We often organise trips on our own, and so we did this one in Tanzania (we visited Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar in a three week trip). From the very beginning, communication with our contact person Iddy at Samora Explorers was excellent. He was quick to respond, patient with all our questions, and made the whole planning process smooth and trustworthy. I am truly thankful to him for replying to all my messages on Whatsapp.
During the trip, we were guided by Emanuel, who made the safari truly unforgettable. He is incredibly rich with informations about Tanzania’s culture, nature, and wildlife, and he shared so much interesting information throughout the journey. As a driver, he was highly skilled, and from the first day we felt completely safe and comfortable with him. It was clear that he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience—and he succeeded.
The safari itself exceeded our expectations. The landscapes, wildlife encounters, and the overall atmosphere were magical. We liked all the accommodations. Big thing here is also food. You eat it on the road at park picnic sites, but it was always very tasty and kept us strong. A real highlight was the balloon flight over the Serengeti— we experienced true National Geographic like scenes we will remember for the rest of our lives and the perfect cherry on top of an already amazing trip.
We highly recommend Samora Explorers, and we are especially grateful to Iddy for the excellent organization and to Emanuel for being such a fantastic guide. This trip was everything we dreamed of and more.

Quick response, great value, friendly guides
We highly recommend Samora Explorers to everyone. Initial communication via email was quick, smooth, and efficient. We received a quote quickly. We had the trip slightly modified to meet our needs, which was no problem at all.
Upon arrival at the airport, the driver was already waiting for us. We received a warm welcome from the staff at the Samora Lodge in Arusha. There, we were able to recover from our overnight flight.
The next day, our guide, Henry, was ready at 8:00 AM sharp. We'd join him on safari for the next six days. He's a friendly and professional guide with an eagle eye. Henry truly went above and beyond to show us as much as possible and was extremely patient while we were both taking photos (we're both amateur photographers).
The accommodations during our stay were excellent, from beautiful lodges to incredibly cozy tented camps. The food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) was also excellent.
We enjoyed a wonderful safari and would book with Samora Explorers again. We highly recommend them to everyone.

Everything was great , I simply can’t think of any complaints!
All the people we communicated with were extremely friendly. The guides were helpful at all times and the lodges and camps we stayed at were pleasant. The food was also great! I would definitely recommend, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Best safari in existence
Samora Explorers took care of us beyond anything I could've expected. They were super communicative, answered all our questions before arriving, provided all the services needed (airport transfer, lodging in Arusha), and gave me incredible peace of mind. Ben was the best guide and driver! He drove safely in all conditions, taught us amazing details about the parks and animals, always made sure we were ok, and made it his personal mission to make every day exceptional.
The food was also above and beyond - full meals for lunches plus complimentary wine, beer, and ample water.
We were in the best hands and were given a good chance to relish Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.

The only company I'll ever choose for a Safari
This was truly a life changing experience. I don't normally write reviews that are this long, but this experience deserves a full spotlight.
The vehicle:
The safari vehicle is incredibly comfortable. It has about 7 seats and room for luggage. We were only 3 which was nice because we could jump from seat to seat for the view. The seats are comfortable and the vehicles are cleaned each day. The roof opens up for you to be able to get a better view of the incredible things you'll see. There are outlets, cupholders compartments and pockets and many other things to make this your 4 day home. Each day you have a meal at your lodge and then a lunch is packed for you. This tour company packs real delicious food so you sit down to eat rice and meat and vegetables each day.
The guide:
Ben!!! He was the perfect guide- really the best guide I've had on a tour led activity. His knowledge of the animals and their behavior shows just how many years he's spent observing everything. He is fun and treats you like family. He himself has fun on the safari, but he takes safety very seriously so there are difficult patches of road in which he concentrates- a point we really appreciated. He went above and beyond by taking us to places to make our hades, to see viewpoints and even to take care of our endless need for bathroom stops.
The parks
Honestly this Is a must do experience. Many would prefer longer Safari's and it is true that more days in the Serengeti can help you have the chance to see more animals, but we were so happy with the 4 days. It was just long enough to see 4 of the big 5 and a ton of other incredible animals, but it wasn't so long that we got restless being in a car for so many days. The parks will change your life. The facts you learn will give your life more meaning and purpose.
The company:
I spent a long while researching safari companies and finally chose samora explorers for one important reason - I sensed that we would be treated like family. We are three 20 something girls traveling alone and I wanted us to have a safe feeling like we are family. That is why I chose this company and that is exactly how they have treated me: like family. Iddy was so so helpful. After months of communication he never got frustrated. He always went above and beyond researching things and even giving me discounts and reminders. The company is through, family oriented, trustworthy, and so super helpful. There is no other company if rather have my adventure with!!!

The guide was in time at the Samora River Lodge, we appreciated a lot Reggie’s open communication and the driving style. Excellent opportunity to discover Tarangire from our place.
