We start in Kilimanjaro airport (closest airport) and then got a transfer to Arusha town (1,1.5hr apart, have to plan for transfer) the base of where the Serengeti safaris begin. It was like a couple weeks out and I was looking for a Land Cruiser, safari jeep to rent to go ourselves. We like doing things like that but the disadvantage after hindsight is that we wouldn’t know all the spots to look for things and they have a radio with all the other game drivers and they like to help each other out with sightings and spotting to find things. We wouldn’t have seen much if we dont have our guide being able to understand and have connections. They do help out self driving people though but you’d probably have to speak Swahili or maybe there’s a channel for tourist self driver who speak English only. So last minute I was just going through random websites and found https://www.kiwoitoafricasafaris.com/ we’re very lucky we had an amazing tour guide (they’re all in one game driver/guide) who works for a company (local owned). So glad we met Mr. Festo Msofi, highly highly recommend him spending 10 days together with him and it really makes the trip to have someone you trust and is chill or cool vibe wise. And he’s really good at what he does. I can’t describe how much we love him. We met another guide and we wouldn’t have vibed honestly. I shared this with a good friend, and hope anyone definitely ask for him if yall do Serengeti.
Oh yeah and Jesca was great, she worked with us back and forth to get the perfect itinerary, very communicative and willing to work with us closely. We booked this last minute so appreciate it working out and we went through many proposal revision for an almost custom 10 day safari trip in Seregenti.

We did a safari with Kiwoito in June 25 with our 26 year old son. It was an experience of a lifetime. We had a great guide ( Nelson ). He was attentive and an excellent driver. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything and always in a good position even if a lot of jeeps were there . The biggest compliment I can make is : we are going back to do a Kiwoito safari with friends in September 26 we loved them so much …..

Good morning everyone,
First of all, I would like to thank the entire Kiwoito team for everything they did for us during this exciting and wonderful adventure.
From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, everything was excellent, well organized, and comfortable. Upon our arrival in Arusha, we met Charles, the company’s CEO, who was extremely polite and professional along with his management team. They provided us with a complete overview of everything that would be included in our trip.
After lunch, our amazing journey began with our private guide, Sam. From the very first moment, Sam made every effort to communicate with us in a friendly and kind manner. He explained everything about the safari and encouraged us to ask any questions that came to mind.
From the first hotel we stayed at, we gradually began to feel that this trip would be more than wonderful.
In the Serengeti National Park, Sam was always ready to answer any question. He explained every step and every detail of the reserve thoroughly and demonstrated excellent experience in his field, despite being only 26 years old. He is also a skilled and cautious driver, and we truly enjoyed our time with him, both in Ngorongoro and all the way back to Arusha.
From Arusha, we traveled to Zanzibar, where the trip was also successful and organized in a highly professional manner. There were no obstacles or problems at all. This respected company provided us with everything we needed to enjoy an unforgettable journey.
In conclusion, we would like to thank the entire team, starting with Evaline, who was wonderful from the very beginning of planning this trip. She explained every detail and answered all our questions and was truly more than professional.
We also thank Sam, all the hotels we stayed at, and everyone who helped make this journey one that will remain in our memory for a lifetime.
