We booked our honeymoon trip through Simba Tour (locally operated as Furaha Tour) and had an amazing experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro followed by a Serengeti Safari. After that, we spent a few relaxing days in Zanzibar on our own — and honestly, everything exceeded our expectations!

🏔 Kilimanjaro (6 days / Machame Route)

We booked the climb with Simba Tour and chose the Machame Route.
Our team consisted of two climbers (us), two guides, one chef, and nine porters — a total of 12 people. Everyone took such great care of us, and thanks to their support, we completed the trek safely and happily.

Most Korean climbers tend to choose the Marangu Route, where you can stay in huts, but if you don’t mind camping, I highly recommend the Machame Route — the views are absolutely stunning. (We didn’t meet any other Korean climbers during the whole trek!)

It was such a beautiful experience — breathtaking scenery, successful summit, and above all, we finished healthy and full of wonderful memories.
If you and your partner enjoy hiking, this is an incredible honeymoon idea!

🐘 Safari (4 days / Serengeti North - Kogatende)

We also booked our safari through Simba Tour — and while we already loved our Kilimanjaro experience, the safari was even better!

To catch the Great Migration, we took a Flightlink small aircraft from Arusha to Kogatende Airstrip in northern Serengeti. The weather was perfect, and the flight itself felt like a mini air safari — we could see the Serengeti plains, Ngorongoro Crater, and even volcanic formations from the air. There were only four passengers on board (us and a Canadian couple we met on the mountain), so it was a very comfortable flight. Highly recommend this option if you want to save time and enjoy a unique experience.

When we landed, our guide Laizer was waiting for us — fully dressed in traditional Maasai attire!
At first, we thought he was a local taking pictures with tourists for tips 😅 but then he came up to us saying “Simba?” and we realized he was our guide!

Laizer was absolutely amazing — super friendly and fun, but also very professional and knowledgeable.
He spotted animals incredibly well, shared lots of interesting facts, and clearly had a great network with other guides, which helped us find so many animals quickly.

We saw the Big Five and even the wildebeest migration, all thanks to him.
Other tourists kept asking to take photos with him because of his full Maasai outfit, but he politely declined, saying he only takes pictures for his own guests — which we really appreciated.

Overall, our safari with Simba Tour and guide Laizer was perfect.
If our friends or family ever visit Tanzania, we’ll definitely recommend them to book with Simba and ask for Laizer!
