Best of the best, very highly recommended !!
5/5

Had an amazing tour experience of the Victoria Falls on both Zimbabwe and Zambian side vi Cuckoo Safaris.

The tour guides on the Zimbabwean side Mr. Brown and on the Zambian side Miss Delphister were very professional, punctual, very well organised, knowledgeable about the falls, history of the respective sides and very helpful & friendly. One of the best tour guides ever.

I would highly recommend Cuckoo Safaris to anyone considering visiting the falls and surrounds. It is very conveniently organised & tailored tour with hotel pickup and drop off, optimally priced, great communication from their team from the day of the booking till the tour finishes, completely hassle free border crossings and above all very friendly and the best guides.

5 out of 5 stars, best tour and top company, very highly recommended !!

Safari and waterfalls!
5/5

Tour summary: 4 days camping safari + 2 days boutique spa hotel in Victoria Falls.

After researching several other companies we decided to go with Cuckoo Safaris not only for their prompt and clear communication while planning the trip but their flexibility and affordability throughout. They took care of all of the logistics and booking all the experiences per the itinerary so the only thing we really needed to worry about was showing up and being prepared for a great adventure! Once the tour started they arranged for all pick-ups and drop-offs and coordinated among the various companies enabling our itinerary. That included the safari itself of course but also other adventures including a sunset safari cruise, dinner cruise (delicious!), private tour of Victoria Falls, helicopter flight, and more!

Given all of the timing and coordination involved to do everything we wanted to do it was very impressive how much they coordinated behind the scenes! We had a small scheduling issue with insufficient time to adequately tour the both sides of Victoria Falls because we personally wanted to pack in so much (including a day on our own to raft on the Zambezi) but they were more than willing to try make it work with our schedule. We also had one late pick-up that was promptly resolved and ultimately added to the adventure. We also had a few pleasant surprises with last minute upgrades to our accommodations that I'd love to elaborate on but do not want set the wrong expectations as we would have been more than satisfied with our original accommodations (though I must say we were very very happy!).

Amazing wildlife and nature safari in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
5/5

A fantastic opportunity to visit four countries in one go – something we’d never have done otherwise. The tour operator was easily reachable via WhatsApp both before and during the trip, ensuring you start your journey well prepared and have access to the most important information at any time of the day. Every evening you receive a message telling you what time you’ll be picked up the next day, and this is repeated again in the morning by your first guide. In each country, you’re shown around by a different guide, but you’re safely handed over at the border by the previous one. You’re never left on your own, so you’re completely safe. The accommodations are very clean and all include a freshly prepared breakfast. Even if you’ve to leave early, they ensure breakfast is ready. The tour of the waterfalls is absolutely brilliant; our guide took a different route so we could see more of the waterfalls and get less wet. Which was welcome, as it was pouring with rain due to the sheer force of the water ;-) The safari in the private park in Zimbabwe was truly unique; we’d never have found our way there on our own, but it gave us the chance to see the black rhino! After the evening safari, a delicious three-course dinner awaits you at the nearby hotel. You then cross the border into Botswana, where a river cruise and two magnificent safaris in Chobe NP await you. We saw so many animals thanks to our dedicated guides! On all the safaris, the jeeps were very luxurious, so despite the bumpy roads, you were comfortable and had a good view. Drinks and light refreshments were provided. The service we received throughout the trip was fantastic; we had a flat tyre in Chobe National Park and had to wait, but this meant we got to spend extra time in the park. The trip to Namibia is also fantastic. It isn’t a big place, but the interaction with the local community is amazing. Please note that at the Namibian border you can only pay by card, whereas the KAZA visa and the Zimbabwean visas must be paid for in cash in USD. In short, a superbly organised trip during which we’re able to discover the nature and wildlife at this quadripoint. Highly recommended!

The tour operator was efficient and planned our trip extremely well, ensuring our needs were met.
5/5

We booked a 9-day tour so we had several guides throughout our stay in Africa. All guides were well informed and very pleasant. We saw the Big 5 and the Ugly 5! We were beyond excited about each of our game drives! The lodges we stayed at were gorgeous and extremely comfortable. Camping for 5 nights was definitely an adventure but the beds were comfortable and we had en-suite restrooms with our tents. The Camp staff were amazing! Food was always delicious and our accommodations were always comfortable. I have never slept that well! The cost was what we expected and was reasonable for our accommodations throughout the 9-day tour. Thank you for the experience!

Very well coordinated tour!
5/5

The tour was very well organised and very well coordinated…
Replies to our queries were very prompt and they will update us on the pick up time for the following day..

We were very well taken care of right from the time we landed.

The accommodation provided was clean and comfortable.

The lunch and dinner included in the package was luxurious!

The guides helped us through numerous boarder crossings.. and when they realised we might be in a bit rush to get to airport, due to longer than usual queue at the crossing …they specially arranged another vehicle just to make sure we get to the airport in time..

We love all the guides we met..
Special Thanks to Blessing who who picked us up and coordinated our departure..

Pretty Ms Delphister from Zambia side who pointed out the best picture spots..

Vusi ( Botswana safari ) - he’s the best! We saw a cheetah and 2 lioness and a lion.. he really took pride in his job!

We’ll really recommend this tour …

Extremely courteous and accommodating. The office was very responsive. Our driver Brown excellent.
5/5

The itinerary through South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana was great. Our accommodation, and the driver Brown were all excellent. The safari guides in Hwange, Victoria Falls, Chobe, Elephant Sands, Planet Boabob and Maun/Moremi area were great. Our food options were great and the staff were all excellent. The only challenge were the road conditions that are outside the control of the tour organizer, the government would be prudent to focus on fixing the roads to help the tourism thrive.

Good Experience visiting Victoria Falls Both Sides
5/5

Tatenda is very responsive and answers all my questions quickly, which is very helpful in trip planning. We were picked up at the airport and later visited Victoria falls on both sides, which is smooth. Both Mr Brown on the Zimbabwe side and Delphister from Zambia were great in taking us through various viewpoints and help us take great pictures. The two sides offer different experiences and we highly recommend visiting both sides!

Efficient, trustworthy, enthusiastic, and helpful
5/5

The accommodations were exceptionally clean and had wonderful breakfasts. The trip might have seemed at the onset toward the more pricey side but the experiences were priceless and once on the vacation there was nothing to “worry about” as everything timing wise was taken care of by very professionally trained operators. Always felt safe, cared for, and comfortable!

Great experience
5/5

Great tour. Definitely worth a visit to both sides of Victoria falls. I was lucky to have both Brown on the Zimbabwe side and Lucky on the Zambia side. Seamless entry via the immigration with both guides helping out. (Don’t forget to get the Kaza visa if you are looking to do this and a safari in Chobe)
Great detail given about the falls from both guides throughout.
We saw some people walking the bridge and the long walk to the other side. Lots of vehicles and big trucks on that dirt track, so having a vehicle pick us up on both sides (with air con and water) was just perfect.
Brown took us to the ‘Big Tree’ on the way back to our hotel, a 1200 year old Baobab tree. We even saw elephants, monkeys and other wildlife on the way/ way back to our hotel.
Me and my wife both felt very much at ease with both guides who helped takes photos of us constantly on both tours and gave us how long we wanted at every view point.
Ponchos were provided as well, which were very much needed when we went, as it was the season of high water, so a lot of spray.
These guys were great and I highly recommend them.
