Great 12 day safari from Zimbabwe to Botswana
A big thank you to Tatenda, Brighton, Shelton, Simon and all at Cuckoo safaris for our amazing 12 day safari across Zimbabwe and Botswana. It was a bit daunting having to choose which safari company to use from the other side of the planet many months ago but it was great. We have no regrets and the positive reviews of Cuckoo safaris are justified.
They are a medium sized local operator in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe which pride themselves on offering quality safaris and really good customer service at a reasonable price point. Everything went well with our logistics, accommodation and all the many various game drive guides across Victoria Falls, Hwange, Chobe, Elephant Sands, Planet Baobab and Okavango delta. They packaged together all the various elements, tours, drivers very well and it always felt safe. We saw the big 5 many times over and had fantastic animal encounters with the different guides at each national park. I would recommend this company.
My suggestions for improvements are 1) their communication could have been more proactive and detailed at the start of the safari (I had to ask several times for the name of the driver meeting us at Vic Falls airport) but this improved during the safari 2) it would have been good to have been informed / reminded that all families need copies of the birth certificates for children under 18 when crossing the border between Zimbabwe and Botswana and 3) one of the accommodation hotels changed between the initial itinerary and the final confirmation but to be fair we could have spotted this earlier and it was not a problem as the alternative hotel in Maun was very good. So thanks again to Tatenda and all at Cuckoo safaris and keep up the good work.

An Unforgettable Adventure Through Zimbabwe and Botswana
We had the most incredible 16\-day tour through Zimbabwe and Botswana, perfectly organized from beginning to end. Everything ran smoothly—from our very first contact to the many flexible adjustments and even spontaneous last-minute changes. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we always felt completely supported and well looked after.
Zimbabwe and Botswana are breathtakingly beautiful, authentic countries, filled with incredibly warm and welcoming people and extraordinary wildlife. The entire team was fantastic Thuba, Simon, and Brown from Cuckoo were absolutely outstanding—professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and always incredibly friendly. The same applies to all the other drivers who were organized for us. Every single person contributed to making our journey so special.
The absolute highlight was our five-day camping safari in Moremi. Being surrounded by untouched wilderness, sleeping in the heart of the bush, and experiencing the wildlife at such close range was something we will never forget.

Our 4-night, 5-day trip across Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana with cukoo Safaris was absolutely flawless from start to finish. If you are planning a trip to the region, book with them without hesitation—they are professional, reliable, and deeply honest. From the moment Blessing picked us up at the airport to our final departure drop-off, the coordination was seamless. With an ambitious itinerary involving multiple border crossings, transfers, and activities—a Zambezi River sunset cruise, guided tour of Victoria Falls, helicopter flight, a full-day safari in Chobe National Park (Botswana), and a final evening game drive with a bush dinner—every single pickup was prompt to the minute. Every driver and tour partner already had our names on hand, making a complex schedule feel effortless.
The guides were outstanding, passionate, and incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife. Across our game drives, we saw rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and plenty of hippos. The aerial views from the helicopter flight over Victoria Falls were unforgettable. Cukoo Safaris delivers top-tier service, transparent communication, and authentic hospitality. Amazing experience
We had an unforgettable morning at Victoria Falls. First a helicopter trip, which was supercool, then a walking tour of the falls, followed by lunch at the Lookout Cafe.
Our guide, Brown, was very jolly and really added to the experience with his knowledge and friendliness.

Well organised
Tatenda at the office provided a special itinerary for us. All communications and payments went smoothly. Tatenda our driver was very friendly and professional and we felt safe in his hands driving along the very rough roads. The accomodation and activities were fantastic. Thank you for a great holiday.
