Bogosi goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has a fun exciting adventure!
Bogosi and his crew include Moss, Alpha, George and Jiga. They are all very caring hard-working family members that made us feel like family as well! Our safari was absolutely the adventure of a lifetime! It was tailored to us and our needs. All the guys were very flexible, patient, extremely knowledgeable and great trackers! We learned so much about the animals, plants, etc. The guys did not want us to miss anything and made sure that we saw as much as possible. We were very well cared for and the food was excellent! This was truly such a fun amazing experience that we will always remember and we cannot wait to go again!!

Fantastic Experience With Moonlight Safaris
My wife and I did a 10 day private mobile camping safari with Moonlight. Bogosi picked us up at the Maun Airport and took us straight to Makgadikgadi in the Kalahari. His team (Alpha, George and Jiga) had the camp already set up for us. From there we doubled back through Maun to the Mababe Depression, the Savuti Reserve, Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls, and a Rhino park just outside Livingston. The Moonlight team would pack up the camp, drive to the next site, and set it up while Bogosi took us on game drives. It was all very convenient and well managed. The pre-trip communications were very professional with prompt replies from Bogosi or his daughter Amanda, who runs the office.
I am not much of an outdoors type so I was a bit skeptical about how all of this camping would work (my preference had been to stay at a lodge) but my wife really wanted to do this so I went along with it. And I have to say it was way nicer than I had expected: the bedding was quite comfortable, the tent and private bath were roomy, Jiga cooked great meals, there was a Starlink internet connection, the Landcruiser had big fridge and power points to charge our gear, everything was clean and in working order. And the payoff was spectacular - staying at camps deep in the wilderness meant we literally started animal watching within minutes of starting our drives. It also meant watching the sunrise at various watering holes while folks back at the lodges were just getting out of bed.
We saw a ton of wildlife and Bogosi seemed to know the best timing and places to be to see it all. He is especially knowledgeable with regards to birding. It was also interesting to see him interact with guides from the other camps - they all stop to share info when they cross paths and it is very collaborative. But it was also clear that the other guides held Bogosi in high regard and were happy to pick his brain. The whole experience was just epic and of the 60 countries that I have traveled to, this has to be one of top experiences all time. Highly recommend Moonlight Safaris.
Amazing !
Moonlight safaris went above and beyond my expectations . As a solo female traveller I was a bit nervous travelling around remote Botswana on my own in the bush, however they made me feel so safe and looked after from the moment they picked me up from my hotel. The tent was well setup even with my own private shower, and the camping setup was secluded and away from any other tourist groups which was perfect. Very small group size, and a small family business so it felt a lot more authentic than travelling with some of the larger commercial companies with very full and busy trucks which you see around. We did plenty of drives and wouldn’t stop (they would keep searching for particular animals if requested) unless we were all happy we had seen enough and ready to head back . Couldn’t rate them higher for the price point, it really felt like it was amazing value. 5 stars !

Family run business that makes a genuine effort to keep guests comfortable
We did a 7 night mobile safari that covered Chobe Savuti and Mababe forests. We were a family of 6 and BG the owner of the company was our guide - we all were in one landcruiser that BG drove. His sons and nephews drove the other truck that carried the tents and food supplies. The tents would be setup for us before we arrived. It was a basic but comfortable setup. Each tent had 2 camping cots, mattresses sheets blankets and pillows. The sites were deep in the jungle and there were wild animal sightings just a few hundred feet from camp. Food was basic - pasta, chicken, salad and we had dessert a few nights. All was cooked by the camp chef. Great value for money and the whole Moonlight team was very accommodating of our needs and were a fun group to be around. Highly recommend if you want a different more rustic experience than the lodges. We saw lots of animals and BG was an excellent tracker and driver.
BG was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - we had a great time going on safari with him.
Going to Botswana on safari with BG was an incredible experience. The game drives were unforgettable, and we saw all kinds of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, hyenas, and wild dogs.
BG and his team did a great job making us feel at home. The tent setup was very comfortable with small cots to sleep on. I also appreciated the ability to take a hot shower. The food was also great and cooked freshly for us each day.
Overall I would highly recommend Moonlight Safaris - we had a great experience!
Fantastic Mobile Safari
We went on a 7 night mobile safari with Moonlight Safaris in three different areas. BG was a fantastic guide; he was great at tracking the animals and always positioned the car in great places so that we had great views of the sightings. The rest of the team was also awesome and there were lots of touches that made us more comfortable (like hot water bottles at night). Overall, the experience was amazing, I would highly recommend them!

Bogosi truly cares about his guests!
Took my mom & dad on an 8 night camping safari with Bogosi and his team, from Chobe down through Savuti & Mababe and into Maun… we had an amazing time! I’ve been to Botswana many times, but it was my parents first trip- and even though we were there during the historic flooding, Bogosi went out of his way to ensure we saw everything we could! They have a brand new Landcruiser which is amazing, and his boys (Moss, Alpha, George and Jiga) were all such great guys! We had such a fun adventure and felt like we were traveling with longtime friends! I will definitely reach out to Bogosi and Moonlight Safaris again when I come back to do a camping safari through Kalahari!

Further to my earlier review - there is Starlink WiFi at the Moonlight Safari camps!
My 82-year old Dad and I had an absolutely amazing, unforgettable time on the Moonlight 6 night/7 day mobile camping safari (Kasane, Chobe, Savuti, Mababe, Okavango Delta, Maun) with Bogosi and his team. We saw so much wildlife - many lions, many elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, jackals, buffaloes, wild dogs and so on. The huge variety of colourful birds was amazing too.
Bogosi, our guide, took great care to find us the best sightings so we saw 3 prides of lions and cubs as well as cheetah cubs, elephant calves etc. He also let us stay at the sighting for as long as we needed and positioned the vehicle for the best angles and light for photography. The wilderness in Botswana is so vast and beautiful. The organisation and planning that went into the trip was perfect too, with everything running like clockwork. The boat ride down the Chobe River and mokoro trip in the delta enabled us to see wildlife at the river banks too.
Glamping was very comfortable, with everything done for us, each tent had its own attached bathroom with proper loo seat, raised beds with mattresses, hot showers under the stars and plenty of space. The 3 meals a day were cooked over an open fire and were very tasty. The team looked after Dad very well and were flexible with the early mornings starts. They are currently setting up Starlink WiFi to use in the camps. Once this is done there will be internet……
All in all it was a wonderful week full of amazement, excitement and adrenaline rushes with lovely, kind people and we would definitely choose Moonlight again and highly recommend them.

Superbly organised once in a lifetime bush camping experience
Amazing! We gave Moonlight Safaris some ideas snd they arranged a bespoke two week family camping trip with in April 2026. It was an absolutely fantastic, once in a lifetime trip. We started in Victoria Falls, then traveled via Kasane to Chobe, then on to Savuti, Mababe, Maun and Okovango, and finally, Makgadikgadi The whole trip was brilliantly organised byMoonloght and run by BG and Moss, and we were looked after marvelously by them and their lovely family, plus Jigga the superbly talented chef. For most of the trip we bush camped in boga sites in the reserves, which was an amazing experience: sitting by the fire in the evening and listening to the wildlife in the tent at night. On our many game drives, we saw numerous elephants, lions, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, hippo, zebra, giraffe, and antelope, to name but a few plus more birds than we can list here. It was a truly magical experience from start to finish, and we are so grateful to BG and the whole of Moonlight safaris. Thank you!
