Kilimanjaro Summit Trek - Lemosho Route
5/5

A huge thank you to all the guides, porters, cooks and drivers at Tanzania Tour Company who made our Kilimanjaro Trek so special. We were a large group of 18 who completed the trek for charity this June. We felt very cared for and well looked after by the team and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else thinking of doing this hike. An unforgettable experience, many thanks to all the family at TTC.

Locally based with a trusted tour operator with over 17 years of experience.
5/5

Simply remarkable. Trustworthy. Fluent in English. Experienced crew gracefully lead by Sam Diah who surpassed my expectations during our 5 day walk in the Rift Valley from Longido to Sunken Crater. A must and an extraordinary way to discover Maasai culture.

There were 17 of us from Canada in the group supported by 17 wonderful Tanzanians who catered to us impeccably.

The food was plentiful and delicious, the camping in the provided tents, foam mattress and bedding was comfortable, the warm showers after our daily hikes were delightful, the route through the Maasai villages was memorable and the pace was just right.

Our head guide was Philomen, a local Maasai who knew were to take us. He would spot the hidden wildlife, we even met his family and friends along the way. While quiet at times, he did not shy from sharing his way of life. He even helped me fetch “52 cows” if I was to marry! This is part of their traditions to offer cows to parents of the potential bride.

I also continued on with Tanzania Travel Company on a three-day safari to Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. Our guide was Godfrey who is an excellent driver with hawk eyes. He would spot the far away rhinoceros and wait till we had our fill before moving on to the next viewing spot. Fan of the lions (they are after all, as he says “king of the jungle”) we got close up to them during our daily drives through the parks. Such fun!

I hear Tanzania Travel Company is extremely well known for taking trekkers up the Kilimanjaro. Perhaps that will be my next trip with them. Ask for Richard as a guide. He’s climbed up the mountain with groups over 100 times. He would be someone I would trust considering his experience.

Get in touch with Sam Diah for your holidays in Tanzania - from treks to hike to safaris to accommodation to internal flights, he will be happy to help you make your trip the most memorable. Fluent in English. You’ll be glad you booked your trip with him.

Thanks Sam and the crew!

Excellent service, efficient crew, good food!
5/5

I went to Rift Valley trek in Oct. 2018. My flight was down graded due to over booking so instead of ADD to JRO, I was routed via Nairobi. The flight was going to reach almost midnight. Sam organized a hotel to stay over night and managed a taxi for me that dropped me off at the hotel and next day took me to our base camp. During trek also the entire crew was very helpful, excellent management of organizing food, tent, shower and toilet arrangements. I even recommended my family to take Serengeti trip as a family reunion trip with this company which is under consideration :-)

Superb and compassionate
5/5

Communications and service could not have been better. We felt humbly well looked after as I’m sure did the animals who were respected. Godfrey was thoughtful, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and respectful of the environment and the wildlife he was seeking for us. Nothing was too much trouble including a horrible early 3am pick up to the airport. He was fun to be with and the tour flexible and changed according to our and environmental needs. This completely surpassed every expectation.

The whole team where incredible, catering g to our every need on the mountain. As a group with disabilities we were not sure about how long each day would take. The team leader Richard monitored our progress and adapted each days programme to suit our needs. The whole team were amazing, supporting us as individuals and as a group. Ot was a challenging trek, but with the support of the Tanzanian Travel Company we were able to fulfil our dream of summiting Kilimanjaro. Excellent care was taken of the team members who needed to leave the mountain early.

Tanzanian Travel Company really care
5/5

We recently had the pleasure of being looked after by Tanzanian Travel Company whilst in Tanzania. We were originally climbing Kilimanjaro but due to mechanical failure of a prosthetic limb were forced due to safety reasons to leave the climb early. We were then looked after by Sam. Sam to care and attention to his clients to the next level ensuring we were well looked after. He sorted a wonderful 3 day 2 night safari for us were we saw the Big Five including Black Rhino! The mid level lodge pakage l, Country Lodge, we chose was lovely, the accommodation clean comfortable with beautiful details to make our stay memorable. Our safari driver William was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and importantly a good driver! The hotel we were taken to after our Kilimanjaro climb ended was in Arusha the Masailand Hotel and Safari Lodge which is in a beautiful setting overlooking valley and hills. All staff were friendly and helpful. If you are travelling to Tanzania for Safari or any other reason choose an agent who cares about YOU, as Sam from Tanzanian Travel Company does. He personally helped one of our party who became ill on the mountain taking us to a hospital clinic and staying to help with any language barriers. I cannot rate Sam highly enough!

We went on an safari for 3 days and 2 nights stay in Katatu in a country lodge with all meals included. The lodge was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very helpful. Lovely peaceful stay. The driver (William) was very helpful and supportive. He also was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Making it an amazing experience for us to never forget.

Fantastic operator that looked after our unique needs as a group of amputees.
5/5

I absolutely enjoyed my time climbing Kilimanjaro with Sam at Tanzanian Travel Company.

Richard our tour leader was always looking out for our unique needs and adapting our treks accordingly to suit the strengths of the group. His leadership was first class and he is also a very caring guy.

My guide Kombo was absolutely amazing and he safely pushed me to my full potential all the way to the top of Kilimanjaro. He always had faith in me and my abilities and was always there to help when I needed it.

The food and service from the whole team is was what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel and any needs or requests of the group were catered for.

I’m looking forward to coming back and booking a safari. Maybe I’ll try a more challenging route to the top of Kilimanjaro too. Wish I was still there I had the best time ever and missing the Kilimanjaro vibes!
