Amazing experience
5/5

Our safari to Botswana and Victoria Falls was very well organised. Our guide, Tafara, picked us from the airport in Kasane, adapting to our request to start from there. Throughout the whole trip, he really cared for us and our experience, eager to walk an extra mile. Every attraction was as described and better! We particularly liked the salt pans and the Chobe river cruise & rides! In the Okavango delta, we could experience the nature from close, thanks to professional guides, who also built a camp for us and preapared meals. We felt very safe, while staying overnight in the bush and admiring African starry sky. In the elephant sands, we could spend our time with those magnificent animals and went to yet another successful game drive. Than, Victoria Falls were a cherry on the cake - the view was just spectacular.
Africa Uncovered let us experience the bush from various perspectives: from the rivers, game drives and walks, you can also see it from the air in Maun. The acomodation and food were always good, people around always highly professional, reliable and very friendly. Unforgettable experience!

We were picked up from the Vic Falls Airport by Tafara and his young understudy Norman and taken to our accommodation. That night they took us to a local Restaurant and we had some traditional African food. They also arranged for a Helicopter flight over the falls for the next day and a sunset cruise on the river Next daywe did a Vic Falls walk. Take wet weather gear as you will get wet. They also arranged for the BOMA dinner for our last evening, as they said you need to-book in advance They next days we traveled to Botswana and we were looked after well. We also had a couple of days on the delta and camped over with the Elephants

5/5

Victoria Falls Botswana 7day Safari.
Searching through Safari Bookings I found
This tour I liked because it started and finished in Victoria Falls
Undercover Safari are a small company operating for 5 years specialising in small groups giving that personal interaction
Archie the owner answered all my questions same day if possible
He organised pickup at the Airport the day before the Tour started by our Tour Leader
Tafara he stayed with us the rest of the day organised Evening Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi and Helicopter Flight the next morning over Victoria Falls
Took us to a local restaurant specialising in local home cooked food I had Kudu
Hotpot
Next day we explored Victoria Falls
Then in the afternoon headed to Botswana 7 wonderful days no big drives
2-3 hrs max mixture of accommodation
Thatched roof Huts, ensuite tents and the highlight pitched 2 person tent on an island after our canoe trip with local guide.
We had wonderful guides very safe
Saw so many animals even a Leopard first day
Botswana is a great place to have your first African Safari experience there are so many animals, this was our first Safari and we are 2 couples all 60 to 70
Undercover Safari was a great choice
Even when the tour ended at lunch
Undercover never stopped looking after us they picked us up that evening for the MOBA Dinner Show then next day took us to the Airport

African Uncovered Safari was an experience and service that was above and beyond our expectation!
5/5

Our 7 day tour through Botswana was great bang for buck! Our guide was so accomodating, informative and always put his clients first. Each and every day was full of wonderful surprises - not only through magnificent game drives, but also the luxurious places you stay and visit.
All destinations and activities that we went to on the trip will be forever remembered.

A great well planned trip - The guides and staff were incredible
5/5

Short Version - The guides/staff were incredible, a great well planned trip to experience a variety of things in Zimbabwe! Would recommend to anyone.

Long Version - We booked this trip as part of our honeymoon in early June. We chose the 5 day Hwange Safari from Vic Falls. We were a little disheartened when we got to the airport and no one was there to meet us as planned. We contacted Archie who informed us he would be there in 20 minutes. We were picked up pretty much straight away when we found out that I had stupidly put July on the booking form rather than June (completely my own fault and stupidity). Whilst I would have thought that we would not be able to do this trip, as no accommodation would have been booked or guides, this was not a problem for Archie who had most of it organised by the time he had dropped us off at our first hotel. I must say that this really was far and above what we could have expected. He managed to arrange for all the things, accomodation, safari trips, guides, food and all the other little trips (Vic Falls themselves, a trip to a local village etc) when he really did not have to down to us turning up a month early.

Our guide on the safari, Muza, was equally excellent, working veyr hard and running our tour at such short notice.

We were fed extremely well, being taken out to nice restaurants and places (we both put on weight during this trip due to the amount of food!).

The actual trip was amazing, the organised safari in the Hwange Park was great, seeing a number of different animals (lions, giraffes, 100's of elephants as well as a number of other great wildlife).

The hotels arranged for us were all top notch and we ended up wanting for nothing, with Muza organizing stuff for us as we went including getting special food arranged for us due to being vegetarian.

I would genuinely recommend African Uncovered to anyone, they went well and truly above and beyond for us and made a great trip for us in difficult circumstances due to us getting the dates wrong.

Organized, accommodating and very engaging
5/5

This team is amazing, I can’t recommend them enough! Archie was super responsive and very helpful, he answered all our questions and went above and beyond to arrange the trip for us regardless of the very short notice. Tafara, our guide, is a sweet gentleman who made our trip more fun and interesting with stories and interesting information that you can only get from a local.
We enjoyed everything, the places, the people, the experiences, all of it! And that is thanks to Africa Uncovered team.

The right place for outstanding memories
5/5

Do you know the feeling, when you meet an old friend you haven't seen in a long time, and you know he is eager to show you the best there is to see in his neighborhood ?
That is how I felt after meeting Tafara at the airport, and everyday during the tour (7 days Victoria Falls, Chobe and Hwange).
Archie answered all my questions before travelling and made sure everything is ok until after I came back home.
For my next visit to Africa, no doubt I will go again with Africa Uncovered Safaris.

Great guide and great setup
5/5

Muza was a great guide who really cared about our wellbeing. The schedule was really good and we saw a lot of animals. The best was Chobe and the tour in the Okawongo delta. Double K was a really good guide in the delta. The lodges was also very good, especially in Victoria falls
All in all it was very a good trip. Highly recommended

Highly trained and experienced, personalized trip with pleasant, knowledgeable local guides.
5/5

Look no further for your trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana than Africa Uncovered. Having been on multiple safaris, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Africa. They are extremely communicative and provide a safe experience. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. We enjoyed having a small group of just us and the tour guides, which created a personalized and memorable experience.

Many tour operators put 20-30 people together on a meta coach bus - this was not the business plan of Africa Uncovered. They have decades of business relationships with local hotels, game reserves, and other tour operators. If you tell them what you want to do, Archie can create a custom experience for you. A smaller group allows you to see more and wait less, and allows you to dictate the pace.

We have the luxury of having 2 tour guides with us - both Muza and Tafara have years of experience, know the territory and people well, and became friends of ours during the trip. We can’t rave enough about each of them. Ask for them if they are available.

Archie was very easy to contact and was able to fulfil all of the things I wanted to do in Africa.
5/5

After booking my tour with Africa Uncovered 8 months prior to my trip, Archie was incredibly helpful in supporting and answering any questions I had.

I did a 7 day tour of Victoria Falls, Chobe and Hwange national park. Cosmas and Jafara were on hand straight away at the airport and they were my guides for the trip. Although they didn’t do any of the guiding for the actual tours I went on, they were there for anything I needed, drove me around to each destination and were amazing company during meal times.

The team were great at organising excursions. I had a walking tour of Victoria falls, a helicopter tour - 100% worth every penny, a visit to the elephant orphanage - personally I wouldn’t go back as wasn’t the natural authentic experience I was hoping for, I went on the jet boat - although this was cool to see the falls from below, there wasn’t much ‘jet boating’, and did a gorge swing which was terrifying but great. Next time I’d try out one of the activities on the Victoria falls bridge. A really highlight was the evening sunset dinner cruise along the Zambezi. Pure Africa was the boat Archie booked me into and they were incredible!
I also got the chance to experience Boma. This is a great place for dinner where African culture really comes to life - think traditional food, dancing and drumming!

Then I headed to Chobe national park in Botswana. Make sure you get a dual visa if doing this trip as you will head back into Zimbabwe after. I went on an afternoon river safari which was amazing - all the hippos, birds and elephants were about.
The next day I had 2 game drives in the park, one at sunrise and one in the afternoon. Chobe is pretty small so you’re guaranteed to see all the animals when cruising around. The elephants were a particular highlight for me. Seeing them
With they babies playing in the water was magical. I was booked into the Kwalape safari lodge. As there were lots of other big groups, the hotel put on a show from local dancers which was amazing!

I then headed to Hwange, a 3-4 hour drive from Chobe back into Zimbabwe. We stopped off at the painted dogs conservation where I learned all about the amazing work locals are doing to try and stop poachers from killing this beautiful species. I then had the privilege of visiting the homestead of a local family in the village. They welcomed me so beautifully, showed me their home, their crops, they demonstrated how they cook, create their houses, they got all the animals around - it was a time I will remember.
In Hwange I stayed at the Miombo safari lodge. Beautiful setting with a huge water hole in the middle to encourage animals at night and boy did they come! Elephants can each evening and kudus also came to get some water.

The next day I did a 10 hour game drive in Hwange national park - what a place! We didn’t even touch the sides but it was amazing to see the different vegetation and species. I was lucky enough to see everything I wanted: zebra, giraffe, lions, leopard, kudu, eland, elephants galore, impala, zazu birds, hippos and birds galore!

I went home a very happy lady!

One thing to consider when booking these holidays is the price of things. Zimbabwe is much more expensive than Botswana. That includes food, drink, tipping etc.
