A thoughtful, special weekend organised by lovely people.
The staff here were such a thoughtful, kind group of people. They went out of their way to help me organise my brother’s birthday, which he told me was one of his most special birthdays yet :) Couldn’t have done it without the staff at backpackers. The hostel itself is lovely and spacious, with great food and delicious hot chocolate. The tour in Murchison Safaris left us with all Big Five ticked off, and such an inspired feeling at all the nature, wildlife and creatures preserved in the park! I would recommend this to anyone who has the time.

Fantastic experience for a budget Safari
I went on a trip with friends to Sipi falls at Mount Elgon organized by Murchison Backpackers Safaris. Everything was organized very well from start to finish. The vehicle, and its driver Jim (had great stories) were excellent, the drive very relaxing, the tour guide very knowledgeable. The scenery at Mt. Elgon was breathtaking, we hiked to the three waterfalls, visited various caves, the high altitude running tracks, and shared a meal with a wonderful local family, i must say the people of Sipi town are very hospitable. For a budget trip, i was impressed.
