the right choice for Namibia :-)
Being a photographer, I had high expectations for Namibia... after some research on the web, I decided to entrust the planning of my trip to Great Explorations Namibia. Lilly has shown a great love for her work: always very kind and professional! She proposed a 15-day self-drive itinerary, choosing very interesting stops... I definitely couldn't have asked for more! I also greatly appreciated the lodge options (some truly spectacular, like Okonjima Plains Camp) that allowed me to experience this journey in an even more special way. I initially requested a couple of changes about the accommodations, and there were no problems, of course. Upon arrival in Windhoek, just before picking up the rental car, Lilly gave us a practical bag containing some Namibia maps (essential, I would say!), vouchers to be handed to the resorts, a general program with distances between each stop, descriptions of the places, and various recommendiations about what to do and see during each stop... all very useful! The bag also included a power adapter and mosquito repellent spray ;-). Naturally, if we had encountered any issues during the trip, we could have contacted Lilly at any time. Additionally, since we chose a Suzuki Jimny for the rental car, Lilly made sure to request an additional jerry can from the car rental company (since the Jimny has a small tank), along with a second spare tire. Very good value for money. In conclusion... thank you, Lilly, thanks to your organization, this trip was absolutely unforgettable!

Lilly and Great Explorations Namibia were incredibly helpful with planning our trip to Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Lilly was collaborative and gave useful insights and suggestions as we worked with her to plan our itinerary. The clear and transparent communication on trade offs on various decisions and prices were much appreciated. It is also clear Lilly has access to special prices with many of the lodges, that are not available if booking on your own. The trip itself was incredibly smooth in no small part due to her diligent work. We cannot recommend Lilly and Great Explorations Namibia enough!

Everything was done for us and it all went smoothly. The only way to travel and we appreciated it greatly. We loved Namibia and the people that we came across. It was a wonderful trip and well worth the money spent. Organising for the next trip to get back there asap.

Absolutely exceptional service every step of the way
From the very first communication Lilly was exceptionally knowledgable and efficient. Within minutes she’d sent me an itinerary that took into account everything I asked. And gave me all the options if I wanted to upgrade any part of it. The planning was brilliant and the execution even better. She arranged our car, transfers, hotels, tours everything. We usually do it all ourselves but Lilly made it so much easier, she took care of absolutely everything while giving us exactly what we wanted. The actual trip was brilliant and all through it Lilly was available if we had any questions or needed anything. She truly is a super agent, we couldn’t have asked for more

High expectations - exceeded
Generally speaking Namibia turned out to be a fantastic country to visit with breathtaking, ever changing scenery, abundant wildlife, friendly people and providing a very high value for money. Lilly had concocted a two week tour for us which corresponded pretty exactly to what we wanted in terms of experiences and quality of lodging. All arrangements were easy to coordinate and we received all the information in a timely manner and to great detail. The self-drive option was great, allowing us to go at our own pace between lodges, much appreciated since we must have stopped every five minutes to enjoy the view along the way. The 4x4 rental car was in very good condition and the fridge in the back, powered by it's own battery with two days worth of autonomy, was a much welcome and useful feature for storing cold drinks and food for roadside snacks.
In short, the best vacation we've experienced ever and we can heartily recommend Great Explorations Namibia.

This is how to do Namibia - with Great Explorations Namibia
Holiday of a lifetime. We had a vague idea of what we wanted to do and see, but without Great Explorations Namibia - and Lilly in particular - we would have been traveling blindly across the country. And you want to have your eyes open all the time in Namibia, every inch is such a thrilling sight. Great Explorations Namibia put together our itinerary and it just kept giving and giving. It was the right combination of 1 night here, 2 nights there. All done with professionalism and endless courtesy. And the price was right - the right amount of comfort and luxury without blowing the budget. We are off to Botswana with Great Explorations Namibia in March and we go with confidence that it will be equally well planned and organised for us.

Lilly of Great Explorations Namibia has a great ability to translate wishes of a trip to Namibia to a very well organized itinerary with reliable partners. The transport (self drive 4x4) that was organized was very reliable, the places we stayed were all of very high quality. Most importantly Lilly is a great communicator and was always available if we needed support. We highly recommend to use her organization to organize a Trip to Namibia.

Liked that the tour company also arranged our rental vehicle
We are all independent travelers and had a basic Namibia itinerary planned before we contacted Lilly at Great Explorations Namibia. We were afraid we were trying to see too much in a short period of time so wanted advice from a travel professional. We were referred to Lilly and her company through another tourism friend. Lilly was very helpful and quick to answer questions and finalize our travel plans. She gave us pricing for each hotel and she also suggested various excursions . The bonus is she has a partnership with a car rental company and was able to arrange our rental vehicle. We felt comfortable with the rental since it had a tracking system so if we had any problems, they would know we might need assistance ( we did have a flat tire but it was very easy to get it repaired in the next town since the rental company had a repair contact who took us right away). We loved Namibia and saw a lot (Did a counter clockwise circle from Windhoek ). But there is still more to see - some day we will be back and will definitely use Great Explorations Namibia
