Incredibly helpful in choosing a lodge
4/5

Wayne was so helpful in helping me sift through the different tour and lodging options. We even hopped on a Zoom call, which made this process much more personable and efficient! My and my 3 friends went to the Kapama Southern Lodge on a 4 day safari and it was perfect! The only issue we had was there was some sort of miscommunication between our shuttle driver and the Kapama staff so there was nobody there to pick us up from the shuttle drop off location when we arrived. And on our return trip the shuttle was half an hour earlier than expected and we felt in a rush on our way out.

Good Day Ashley,

Thank you for traveling with us to the Kapama Southern Camp.
It is one of the lodges in the Greater Kruger National Park.
Was only a pleasure chatting on zoom with you and glad that we offered you the best safari experience.

We have spoken to our driver who transported you to the Hoedspruit Airport, he was supposed to take you directly to the Lodge.
Our driver then contacted the Lodges guide as the Lodges guide was at the Airport at the same time as you arrived there.
So our driver handed you onto the Lodges guide to save you a little extra time and then the lodges guide did not contact the lodge to inform them that you met up and were on the lodges vehicle and not getting dropped off by our driver.

Our drivers are generally early for the collection times, so that our guests are aware that the driver there at the lodge and not running late (rather early than late), but he should not have put pressure on you to depart the 30 min earlier than scheduled.
We are sorry that you felt rushed, he was just at the Lodge letting you know that he is there to collect you.

At least all was sorted out and you had a great time on safari.

My operator was helpful and determined to find what was right for me.
4/5

I had a memorable and most enjoyable 4 night stay at Tremasana Camp this past week. Although the camp was a little bit “run down” the setting and staff more than made up for it. They were kind, helpful and made every effort to be accommodating. The guides were fun, knowledgeable and we were lucky enough to see a lot of very good game.
The food was wholesome and plentiful, so all in all, I would recommend it highly.

Hi Karen,

Thank you for your review, we do read all of them and note all suggestions form our valued travelers.

We have forwarded your review onto the owner of the lodge regarding the maintenance that you noted and happy to say that they looking on refurbishing the lodge as soon as they have covered the costs caused by low travelling numbers due to COVID 19 and that work is on its way to get the lodge back to its original amazing state.

As long as you had a great time in nature and loved spending times with the guides and that they showed you a lot of animals...
Thank you for recommending us and looking forward to having you back on safari when you return to South Africa.

Organized and fun!
4/5

From pick up to drop off and ALL the fun safaris, our package was most excellent! Friendly knowledgeable guides, wonderful food and great set up.
Areas of improvement. WATER needs to be free and readily available. Incorporate it into the price but make it available. Currently sold at the bar by the bottle.
Screens should be added to windows as 'load sharing' ie. electricity shut offs happen both during the day and knight and if you open your windows and doors you get all the local bugs and monkeys. FYI/ rolling blackouts happen ALL ACROSS South Africa and are NOT unique or controlled by The Kruger SaFari Co. This is a statewide issue.

Overall, I highly recommend this tour. It's a fantastic experience for all!

Hi there Lysa,

Thank you for your review. It is appreciated.

We are looking into providing bottled water per person on our safari drives and is something that we want to get arranged as soon as possible with our providers.

Yes the Loadshedding / power outages is certainly not something we as a country are proud of and with the unpredictability on it, it is rather tough for the lodges to make choices on what add ones to the lodge, need to be made to make sure that all guests are comfortable.

A large number of the lodges are looking on moving towards solar power to help with air-cons (Keeping the bugs away) and the monkeys... well i guess we are in their "home" so need to respect that we are in their homestead.

We are glad that we offered you a great safari and hoping that in the coming months we can address the items you have mentioned and offer you an even better safari next time.

Good organised tour operator with nice people
4/5

It was good 4 day organised tour. They picked me up in Johannesburg, brought me to Tremisana lodge. Nice tours in the wildernes. The braai in the evening in the dark in the middle of it was a great experience. Except for the bugs. But you are in the wildernes so you can't denie them. We had a great tour in greater kruger. We did see a lot of animals.
Marc's camp was also nice. Friendly people and the food was good. We had to walk a path to go to the tents or treahouses. There you could walk into a lot of animals. (we only walked into monkey's, nyala's and a buffelo). But if you leave them and let them do there thing it is oke. In the dark it's a little scary, (you don't know what you will see) but the guards were very nearby.
I didn't go to the toilets in the night. The toilets were outside and i had to cross over to go to them. The paths were all lighted bij lamps but during a loadshedding it is pitchdark. The bushwalks in the morning were very nice and i learned a lot about the bush. Thanks to Shane
They kindly brought me home to the place where i stayed in Johannesburg.
Overal it was a amazing holiday to remember.
