Bucket List Annihilator
Our group of 4 spent a week in Uganda with Jon. I cannot write enough good things about our experience! When you begin researching to plan a safari, Uganda is not one of the countries that is promoted by search engines or blogs. But I’m here to tell you that not considering Uganda for safari would be a mistake. It FAR exceeded any expectations; and we even had a prior personal recommendation! The parks, wildlife, food, and people were an absolute must for anyone who wants to experience the richness of East African safari! The gorilla trekking is an adventure of a lifetime, but Uganda has so much more to offer. From Murchison Fall’s and Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Chimpanzee trekking and amazing cultural/community experience near Kibale, you can’t help but fall in love with all Uganda has to offer!
All of these things factor into an unforgettable experience. However, Jon M. was the key that absolutely made the trip extra special. He made us feel welcome and at home. Jon is knowledgeable about Uganda, the wildlife, and all aspects of the safari. He was dedicated to making our trip the best it could possibly be, and took into consideration our preferences and goals for the trip. Safari By Jon provided a 10/10 experience that I will be strongly recommending to friends, family, and anyone else who want to go on safari. Jon became the 5th member of our group!

Reliable
I'm a former Peace Crops volunteer (in Asia), and was referred to Jon by other volunteers in Uganda who had used him for friends family. Easy to trust people with these experiences. Jon was great. Perfectly planned adventure accommodating all our hopes!
Our trip was fantastic - exceeding our expectations! We travelled with Jon for 2 weeks and from the moment of pick up to drop off he was professional, accommodating, detailed, knowledgeable and fun. Even the planning over email before arrival was all clear and simple.
Our highlights were the chimpanzee habituation - 4 hours hiking with a ranger to find chimpanzees that are still getting use to people - we were so close - it was magical! And 2 days of gorilla trekking - Jon planned for us to visit 2 families and on different terrain - it was tough and so rewarding!!!
We also learned about the culture while we travelled to destinations and saw beautiful landscapes as well as leopards, lions, even cubs, elephants, hippos, buffalo, and visited the rhino sanctuary. Plus they planned a special anniversary night for us with signing and a cake - what a surprise! Can’t say enough about the trip and detail Jon put into it always ensuring we were happy and having a great time.

Incredible experience
I cannot recommend Safaris by Jon enough. The whole trip was an incredible experience. Jon is a very knowledgeable guide and organized each day perfectly. Hotels were all superb. I would book Safaris by Jon any time again.
