5 ⭐️ Truly Personalized Family Experience
We were extremely happy with our entire Zimbabwe trip, and honestly wish we could have extended our stay. We booked Jonathan after reading the reviews, and I’m so glad we trusted our instincts because he did not disappoint. Jonathan is a superb planner—very responsive, organized, and thoughtful in every detail. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely special as a family.
All our transfers were private, never shared, and the vans were spotless and comfortable. Every ride was prompt, and all the connections and handoffs between tours were incredibly smooth. His tour guide, Mr. T, was just as warm and accommodating. Our family felt secure, cared for, and well-guided throughout the entire trip.
They even helped us with border crossings and navigating the immigration lines, which made a huge difference and took away so much stress. Jonathan’s quote was also very well priced compared to other operators. I sometimes worry when a company has only a handful of reviews, but this time I’m grateful I followed my gut—Jonathan exceeded every expectation.

Great time, good value, helpful and accommodating.
We were a group of 5. Jonathan was helpful planning the 6 day trip but also with the execution. I made changes to the trip and Jonathan cheerfully worked out my requests. This was not my first safari. We started in Victoria Falls with a sunset cruise that included drinks and snacks. Next day visited the falls and then drove to Botswana. The lodge in Vic Falls was spotless with A/C. Staff at the lodge was helpful with good wifi. Nice breakfast and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our plan only had breakfast. After the cruise we had the driver drop us in Victoria Falls for dinner. Jonathan picked us up and took us back to the lodge.
The game drives in Chobe were awesome. Saw over 30 lions in addition to a leopard plus elephants, zebras, giraffes, baboons and more. On the cruise we saw hippos, crocodiles and more.
The Travel Lodge Botswana was great with breakfast and dinner included.
Jonathan checked in at least once a day to make sure things were going as planned. Great time and great value. Work with Jonathan for an awesome holiday!

Family safari chobe and vic falls
The trip was amazing and really well organised for us by African Fairytale Tours.
Jonathan at African Fairytale Tours communicated with us excellently and always kept us up to date and was very accommodating for our requirements and potential changes. Jonathan ensured everything ran smoothly and was on time. His colleague Ivy also communicated well on email.
The experiences suggested and booked and timings of the game drives, walk around Victoria falls, river cruises, rice safari in Chobe and the helicopter ride were all timed perfectly.
Everything ran on time and was professional.
The guides were amazing.
The accommodation was good and suited us as a family really well.

Johnathan and his team were excellent
From the very beginning we felt that everything was well organised. The accommodation was very good as were the activities. We never felt too rushed despite the number of times we needed to go places including across borders. I would definitely recommend this tour operator.

The best of the best
We had an absolutely incredible experience with "AFRICAN FAIRYTALE TOURS & SAFARIS". Everything was organized impeccably. We traveled with our 7 year old child and everything was perfect. Our program included safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana and a visit to Victoria Falls.

The best!
Jonathan and the team at african fairytales were the best. Run by local people, they were incredibly responsive from the booking of the trip, tailoring of the itinerary and during the safari itself.
The experience of the safari was also great, you can tell that they are local and know the area and what is best to experience.
I couldn't recommend it more, It is trurly the smoothest experience i have had with a tour operator. If I am back in the area, I would absolutely go with them again.

Excellent Experience
Jonathan was the best guide we had on our 2 week trip to Africa this summer. He was very helpful and accommodating to several changes that we asked for. Extremely nice and great information he gave us the entire 4 days. Always on time and very good communication throughout the days we were with him.
