Showed us a good time, but made one very poor decision
I had a mixed experience with Tubale. I booked the 3 day gorilla trekking tour in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The accommodations that Tubale booked us at were absolutely fantastic, I could not be more impressed with the hotels we stayed at. Also, the team of safari guides, security and trackers (all employed at Bwindi Forest) were superb. They gave us an incredible service and deserve nothing but the best reviews.
As for the tour guide we were paired with…he picked us up from the airport and drove us 10 hours to the Bwindi Forest. He was very accommodating in giving us bathroom breaks and helping out when one of us was car sick. He went the extra mile at the end of our trip to make sure we had a good experience.
Something I did not appreciate though was when we were going to take a ferry across Lake Victoria, he all but left us to fend for ourselves in a busy market while he was doing other things. In a foreign country and in a market we were not familiar with, we were surrounded by hundreds of people and did not feel safe. We did not know what to expect and had poor communication from him. We were left to register, board and ride the ferry by ourselves, and it was a poor decision. Other than that, he did a good job of making sure our trip was as comfortable as possible.
Also, my communication with the travel consultant was lacking. I expected to hear from her prior to the trip just introducing us to our beginning instructions, etc. But I heard nothing. She had previously told me our shuttle from the airport would be free. It was not, and we had to pay for a taxi. I emailed her to let her know for future travelers that this particular hotel does not provide free shuttle, and she responded that she wished I would’ve communicated that to her sooner. I don’t understand how I could’ve done that, having just gotten to the airport and finding out in that moment that there was not a free shuttle. I didn’t hear from her again during or after the trip. Communication from the travel consultant was definitely not thorough enough.
All of this aside, the hour I spent with the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one I will remember all my life, it was a precious experience and I am so thankful I got to have it.

Tubale Safaris exceeded what we hoped for on our Uganda Safari. This company is very competent..
Our trip started off with one of the greatest days in Africa we have ever had, and we have been to Sub-Sahara Africa four times. The raft trip down the upper Nile was an adrenaline adventure. Class 5 rapids on a pristine Nile River was pure fun. The itinerary Annette T. set up for us covered all the highlights of Uganda (rafting, Murchison Falls, trekking with Chimps, Gorillas and even Giraffes.) Our Land Rover safari vehicle was lovely, our guide, Jamal was excellent and our accommodations had a feel of Africa and not some chain motel. By going directly with Tubale and not through a Safari outfitter in the United States, we had a 12 day Uganda experience for around $9,000 which was $6,000 less than a price for the same exact trip which was quoted by our United States travel consultant who has handled our other three African Safaris. Annette T. at Tubale was a great communicator when we had VISA problems, and any other questions. She always responded via email within 12 hours, and was there for us on the three times we had to call her on "what app."
I highly recommend Tubale Safaris. This company knows what they are doing. I was thrilled with our trip to Uganda.

Very trustworthy to have great days in Uganda
They were excellent with me since the very beginning. All was arranged as decided and their recommendations were really good. I had the programme of 10 days and the highlight was the trekking of mountain gorillas. It was, that’s for sure, a great programme with plenty of amazing pictures and videos.
During those days I saw so many things of wildlife that made this a wonderful experience. And I must tell it was not the first time I had safaris. I was before in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.
This time I discovered Uganda, and I strongly recommend this experience with Tubale Safaris to others that have interest in this, as I do.
My first contact was by e-mail, and then Whatsapp, with Anette. She made me feel totally confortably and it was great how she answered fast to all my questions.
Then I got Brian as driver and guide. He couldn’t be better to me! With him I met a country, with its people, animals, landscape and stories.
So, if you’d like to have an exciting experience in the wild, I suggest to choose them. I was very pleased, for sure! Now I have 4000 pictures and videos to edit and my friends just can’t wait to see them.

Amazing safari experience - Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing time with Tubale’s 10-Day Uganda Wildlife and Primate Tour! It was an incredible experience from start to finish. Planning with seamless – our trip planner, Annette, was quick to respond to emails, answered questions thoroughly, and was extremely accommodating, which made the process stress-free.
We were greeted by our guide, Arafat, at the airport once we landed in Uganda. Arafat is outstanding! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at spotting all the animals we hoped to see. You communicated clearly about each day’s plan, which helped us feel comfortable and excited for what was ahead. One of our travelers is diabetic, and Arafat went out of his way to help support during a low blood sugar moment. By the end of the trip, it felt like we had built a genuine friendship with Arafat.
The trip itself was a perfect balance of wildlife and cultural experiences. Seeing animals up close was unforgettable, and the cultural experiences gave the trip even more depth. Overall, Uganda is a stunning country with warm, welcoming people.
This is an absolute must do trip! We would absolutely book with Tubale again, and highly recommend them to anyone wanting an amazing experience in and around Uganda.

Maximizes unique experiences with cost affordability!
My friend Michele and I recently had the most incredible experience with Tubale Safari, and I can't recommend them enough! From start to finish, this adventure was beyond anything I could have imagined. The team at Tubale Safari took care of every detail, and the trip was flawless. What made it even better was how affordable and customizable the trip was. We were able to tailor the experience to our preferences, which made it all the more special.
One of the highlights was the whitewater rafting – an adrenaline rush like no other! The rapids were exhilarating, and the scenery along the river was stunning. Our guides were risk takers (which I like!), making sure we could really "experience" the Nile River, by taking on its most challenging rapids. It was a lot of fun, rewarding with some cold brews and delicious food at the end!
Then, there was the chimpanzee trekking. Walking through the lush forests was both thrilling and humbling. We spent time with a family of chimpanzees, observing their playful interactions. It was an unforgettable experience that left us in awe of nature's beauty and complexity.
And, of course, the gorilla trekking was the crown jewel of the trip. The hike through the thick forests to see the mountain gorillas was an adventure in itself, but when we finally came upon them, it was truly magical. Standing just a few feet away from these magnificent creatures, witnessing their calm, regal demeanor, was something I will treasure forever. And yes - they make you EARN it. While the guides carry the machetes, you legitimately need to hack your way into and out of the jungle (it is my understanding less challenging treks may be available),
A huge part of what made this trip so amazing was our tour guide, Arafat. He was the perfect blend of expertise, humor, and attentiveness. His deep knowledge of the wildlife, culture, and history of the area added so much value to the experience. He made sure every detail was taken care of, and his infectious enthusiasm kept the energy high throughout the entire trip. Arafat’s great sense of humor made each day even more enjoyable, and his warm, welcoming personality made us feel like part of the Tubale Safari family.
All in all, Tubale Safari exceeded all expectations. The affordability and flexibility of the trip made it even more appealing, and I will definitely be coming back for more adventures. If you're looking for a thrilling, educational, and unforgettable experience, look no further – Tubale Safari is the way to go!

18-Days Safari Exploring Almost All Uganda’s National Parks
18 Days, All of Uganda, and a Ton of Adventure!
If you're going to Uganda, do it properly! Our group of twelve spent January 28 – February 14, 2025, on an unforgettable journey with Tubale Safari’s tour: “18-Days Safari Exploring Almost All Uganda’s National Parks” (yes, it was just as epic as it sounds!). And we don’t regret a second of it – this trip felt like a National Geographic documentary, but without the TV screen and popcorn.
Most visitors come to Uganda mainly for gorillas and chimpanzees (understandably so – who can resist those big, soulful eyes?), but we wanted more. No basic “must-see” checklist for us – we aimed to truly get to know the country. Some in our group were seasoned Africa travelers (for the seventh time, no less!), so we have plenty of experience for comparison. And we can say with certainty: this trip was top-notch!
The itinerary was put together with expert precision, offering the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and delicious meals. The accommodations were fantastic, the food was excellent, and our drivers? Absolute legends! Kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable – they made sure every moment was smooth and enjoyable. A special shout-out to Annette, who did an amazing job planning everything down to the finest detail.
And, of course, the wildlife! There was plenty of it, magnificent and exactly where it should be – in its natural habitat. Every national park on the itinerary was fascinating, but Kidepo Valley… that was a true hidden gem, a breathtaking landscape straight out of a dream. Meeting the Karamojong people was another highlight, offering a deep dive into local culture. White-water rafting on the Nile gave us a thrill, and then… the gorillas and chimpanzees. No words needed – just WOW!
There’s simply too much to sum up in words. But if you have the time and opportunity – this trip is highly recommended! A huge thank you to everyone who made this adventure unforgettable!

Fantastic tour with Isaac organized by Tubale Safaris
We had a great 8-day tour of Uganda that included the Rhino Sanctuary, Safaris, Boat tours and Chimpanzee as well as Gorilla tracking. Annet did a great job at organizing our trip on a short notice.
Our guide Isaac was a fantastic tour guide - he was very friendly, punctual, organized, an excellent driver and incredibly well connected with the rangers and other guides at the parks, which helped a lot in seeing lions three times on our safari as well as a leopard.

Trip of a lifetime - Brian is the G.O.A.T guide 🐐
Just got back from the most incredible 10-day wildlife and primate tour in Uganda with Tubale Safaris, and I honestly can’t recommend them enough—especially our guide, Brian.
From the moment we met him, Brian went above and beyond to make sure our trip was unforgettable. His knowledge of wildlife (and Uganda in general) is insane—he’s basically a walking encyclopedia. But beyond that, he’s just an all-around amazing person. Super friendly, welcoming, and always making sure we were comfortable and having the best time.
Every single day exceeded our expectations. Whether it was tracking gorillas, spotting lions and countless leopards, or just chatting about life in Uganda, Brian made everything feel special. He’s a true expert at what he does, and we feel so lucky to have had him as our guide for these 10 incredible days.
Also, a massive shoutout to Annette and the Tubale team—the whole booking process was smooth, and everything was so well-organized from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
If you’re thinking about a safari in Uganda, book with Tubale and ask for Brian—you won’t regret it! Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

Excellent organization!
We booked a 5 days game drive safari in Queen Elizabeth NP combined with gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Our guide and driver, Arthur, gave us the best time! The lodges were amazing and all transportation was well organized. The highlight of the trip was without a doubt standing face to face with the gorillas. A once in a lifetime experience! We definitely recommend travelling with Tubale Safaris!

Amazing safari and gorilla trekking experience
Thanks for an amazing 14-day Uganda safari and gorilla trekking trip. Everything has been meticulously organized by Mrs Annette, she was very quickly to respond and to adjust the itinerary as requested.
My driver, Arafat, was also amazing and knowledgeable, if you have a chance, ask for him to be your guide. I definitely recommend Tubale and will use their services again when I come to Uganda/East Africa.
