Best of the best
I booked private 8 day safari trip with Mountain Warriors, Best decision for a lifetime trip!
Evaline was super helpful, explaining everything and personalizing the trip for us.
I visited four national parks, our Guide Michael was excellent!! He helped us find the big 5, get the best pictures, and explaining everything to us, the hotels were great, out of this world, I couldn’t believe the tented camp hotels that we were getting for such a fair price… this is the best trip me and my wife have had, and couldn’t be happier enough with Mountain Warrior’s service

Absolutely wonderful.in every way
Our guide Simon was patient and knowledgeable about the animals. He anwser all of our questions. Always on time.. Th company representive Ruth was professional always ready to answer questions pre safari. The accomadations were top notch. Both lodges were very nice. The first lodge every morning the zebras were 400 feet away and the buffalo 50 feet from our doorway. It was awesome I would recommend the company in a New York second. It was a fantastic experience in every regard.

A great safari, with a few bumps in the road (literally).
Mountain Warriors provided us with a memorable experience. We had the chance to see plenty of wildlife, enjoy long but worthwhile drives, and stay in accommodation ranging from good to excellent. Of particular note was our stay at the Warriors Luxury Tented Lodge! The staff were excellent and the food was by far the best we had during our tour. Our driver and guide, Victor, was great fun and handled things with good humour and professionalism. His insights greatly enhanced our experience.
One area in which the company could improve would be to communicate better after the booking has been confirmed. We had to actively ask for basic information that should have been provided.
Our main disappointment was the ‘upgrade’ from accommodation inside the Ngorongoro Crater to somewhere outside the park. The extra 2 hours driving time and later descent into the crater hardly felt like an upgrade. Thankfully, Victor helped us to rebook accommodation inside the park.
The visit to the Maasai village was less informative than we had hoped, and the focus on collecting reviews occasionally felt excessive. The company also overlooked our requests for a more authentic Maasai experience.
Overall, however, it was a very good safari, with fantastic wildlife, comfortable accommodation and an excellent driver and guide Victor.

Great safari experience thanks to Victor!
Overall, we had a wonderful safari and are very happy with our trip. We are giving 5 stars primarily because of our driver and guide, Victor, who we highly recommend. He is knowledgeable, charismatic, and very engaging, and we truly loved spending time with him! He shared a lot of valuable information throughout the trip, always drove safely, and even helped us resolve an issue with our accommodation reservation. He really did everything possible to ensure we had a great experience, showing us all the animals with a fantastic attitude every day. Also, the lunches provided throughout the safari were always delicious!
A quick note regarding pre-trip organization for future travelers:
- Pre-trip Communication: After paying the deposit, office communication became quite sparse. We felt there was a lack of interest in tailoring specific requests— such as finding an authentic Maasai Boma that wasn't just a tourist trap.
- Final Details: A few days before departure, we still hadn't received details about the pickup schedule or final payment procedures, which caused unnecessary stress.
Lodge Locations: Ideally, route optimization is something you would expect the agency to manage seamlessly, but it is worth double-checking the location of your assigned lodges against the itinerary to avoid unnecessary extra driving time.
Despite these initial planning hurdles, the safari itself was fantastic once we were on the road, mainly thanks to Victor. We definitely recommend the experience!

Great Guide with amazing tour
We had an amazing safari experience and were very satisfied with the tour overall. Our guide was excellent – very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He made the game drives enjoyable and was always doing his best to give us the best possible experience.
The accommodations were also very good and met our expectations. One of the absolute highlights was seeing all of the Big Five. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we would definitely recommend this safari.
Whenever we needed anything, we were helped as quickly as possible. This was also the case with the organization – everyone was always very helpful and genuinely made an effort to make our trip as enjoyable and smooth as possible.
If we had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be communication regarding the overall organization of the trip. This is definitely not a criticism of our guide, who communicated very well with us during the safari. We would simply have appreciated receiving a little more information proactively, especially regarding arrival, departure, and other logistical details. In some cases, we had to ask for information ourselves that we would have found helpful to receive in advance.
That being said, whenever we asked, the organization responded quickly and helped us with whatever we needed. Overall, we were very happy with the safari and are grateful for the wonderful experience!

Excellent value with a premium experience
Our guide, Mbwana, is an experienced and steady gentleman. From day one to the very last, he provided us with exceptional service. His knowledge of Tanzanian culture and wild animal behavior was outstanding. We were lucky enough to witness the wildebeest river crossing three times within 24 hours, spotted the cheetahs we had missed in Kenya, and even saw a rhino right next to our vehicle on the final day.
We felt incredibly fortunate to have him guide us through Tanzania. His humor, cheerful enthusiasm, and professional dedication brought our African journey to a perfect, regret-free close. We whole-heartedly recommend this guide, who always puts his guests first.
Here, we would also like to express our gratitude to Loveness for her support. Throughout our email communications, she always answered our questions with great patience and provided impeccable accommodations as well as an incredible guide.

We saw all the animals and David was great, We couldn’t have asked for a better driver!
The lodge and hotel were perfectly aligned for the days we had one in the bush and one with pool perfect after a long drive

A professional safari operator delivering unforgettable wildlife experiences with expert guides.
We had an absolutely incredible safari experience with our guide David and chef Gilbert. They were truly the best team we could have been given.
David was an outstanding guide who always paid close attention to how we were feeling and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. He consistently attended to our requests and was genuinely committed to helping us see as many animals as possible and have the best safari experience. Thanks to his effort and knowledge, we were able to see all of the Big Five, including 8 rhinos (something I thought would be almost impossible) and even 2 leopards. It was truly unforgettable.
Chef Gilbert also made the experience exceptional. He always prepared delicious meals and did his best to accommodate our preferences. Even for my girlfriend, who is vegan, he customized dishes every day, which she really appreciated.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we are very grateful to David and Gilbert for making our safari so special. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very helpful and adhered to all our needs
Communication was always very prompt whilst enquiring about our Safari.
Everything was sorted for us and e-mailed across.
The only thing I would suggest is that flight information is sent over before going over to do the safari as we couldn’t get onto WiFi to get the booking confirmation. But Ruth sorted this for us.
Our tour guide Michael was absolutely fantastic, he was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly always making sure we got the best out of our time and made sure we were okay at every stage of the 3 days. We highly recommend asking for Michael for your Safari.
We stayed at the Warrior Lodge and also Karatu Safari Lodge. And we couldn’t fault either of them. Our favourite being the Warrior Lodge as from the moment we stepped out of the truck we weren’t allowed to lift a finger. It was a very personal touch and they made us feel extra special. So much so after our stay there my Partner proposed to me.

The best experience ever
Our experience in Tanzania was truly incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Mbwana.
From the very beginning, Mbwana was incredibly attentive, caring and protective, always making sure we were comfortable and safe, but never intrusive. He was flexible with everything, always on time, professional and genuinely went above and beyond to make our trip special.
We felt completely looked after throughout the entire journey, and his kindness, knowledge and positive energy made the experience even more unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would absolutely recommend Mbwana to anyone visiting Tanzania. 🐘❤️
