An exceptional safari thanks to the guides, despite a mechanical issue.
We had a fantastic experience and a safari we will never forget!
A huge thank you to Dikson, who was excellent throughout the trip. He knew exactly where to find the animals, took us to the best spots, and drove us safely and professionally for the entire safari.
Martin, our French-speaking guide, was also wonderful: very friendly, passionate, and always available to answer our questions. He introduced us to the local culture and a few words of the local language, and shared a wealth of knowledge about the animals and their environment.
Dikson and Martin make a great team and played a huge part in making this experience exceptional. Thanks to them, we are leaving with memories that will last a lifetime.
The only slight downside was the 4x4 vehicle; it was showing its age and unfortunately suffered a mechanical issue during the safari. This cost us about half a day in the Serengeti while the situation was being resolved—which was a bit frustrating given the precious time spent in the park. A newer or more reliable vehicle would really make the experience perfect.
Despite this hiccup, we have wonderful memories of the safari—and especially of the guidance provided by Dikson and Martin. We warmly thank them for their professionalism, kindness, and everything they shared with us.

Highly Recommend Booking with Ozon Light Tours
Deus is great to work with! He’s literally available around the clock and has mastered the craft of great customer service. I came to Ozon Light Tours after nearly getting scammed by another agency. He was able to get all of my preferred accommodations booked in the high season.
The safari itself was amazing!! We had the pleasure of having Innocent and Godlisten as our tour guides. Innocent absolutely loves his job. He matched our excitement when we found hard to spot animals. We were able to see the Big Five because of his navigation!! Innocent is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate—you can literally ask him anything. Godlisten was also a huge help on the trip and worked quickly with Innocent to navigate issues. He’s also full of fun facts about birds!
Overall, this team went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely honeymoon and communicated with all of our hotels to ensure top notch hospitality.
My only critique is for the itinerary. We booked an Ultra Luxury trip, but I wouldn’t say it was ‘ultra luxurious’. Time is the biggest luxury, and I felt like we did not utilize time well. I came to Deus with accommodation preferences, but I wish he suggested alternatives. The first hotel we stayed at was nearly two hours in the opposite direction from Ngorongoro, which we needed to drive through to get to the Serengeti the next day. We should have stayed in a hotel either close to or in Ngorongoro. Alternatively, we found out that there was an airport in the Serengeti but we flew into Arusha. Arusha is 3-4 hours from Ngorongoro. When I asked why the other airport wasn’t an option proposed, Deus stated cost. If I booked an ultra luxury trip and I’m staying at The Four Seasons, an additional few hundred dollars is a drop in the bucket. We also came during the migration of the wildebeest. That’s a phenomenon that we didn’t get to experience because we weren’t told nor given the option to add on an additional day to go out west to see it. When I asked to change our itinerary to see it, I was told that it was too far and needed accommodation out there. The Four Seasons offered same day tours out west. The possibility was there.
Depending on the season you decide to book, do research and give explicit feedback on the itinerary that they propose to you can make the most out of your trip. While we got to luckily see everything we wanted to see, we spent what felt like 60% of our time just commuting (literally lost a whole day).

Very good experience
We organized our trip to Tanzania with Ozon, which consisted of 5 days of safari and 4 days at the beach in Zanzibar. The organization with Mr. Yohama was perfect from the first contact, he met our needs and tailored the trip according to our desires, being always present in case of need both before and during the trip. The safari was a unique and wonderful experience thanks to the perfect organization of the tour and the expert and prudent guidance of Albert, we couldn't have had a better guide. He was very competent, an excellent knowledge of the parks, tireless, prudent, always cheerful, and made our experience safe and beautiful. The lodges and camps where we stayed were as we expected: clean and comfortable, good food, and kindness. In Zanzibar, we were recommended Villa Kiva, which is a very nice and quiet place if you want to rest after the safari. The cuisine was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and cozy. We really felt very comfortable. The sea is affected by the tides, but for us, this is part of the charm of Zanzibar. The only point for improvement was the transfers to/from Villa Kiva. On the way there, we waited for the driver for over half an hour, calling the office to ask how to proceed, he claimed to be waiting for us but without a sign of recognition, a sign, or looking for us by name even if he was present, we didn't see him. On the return transfer to the airport, the driver didn't show up at all, and being 4:00 AM, we were really afraid of missing the plane, also because Villa Kiva doesn't have a 24-hour reception, so we managed with the internet. Fortunately, there weren't any other problems, and Ozon apologized for the incident. Overall, I would definitely recommend Ozon because the difference in the safari is made by the competence of the guides, and they are really excellent.

A great safari experience
The organization of the safari was perfect since the airport collection. We (a family of 4) booked the safari from Italy and we were a bit worried that everything would go smoothly, but it did! :) Albert was a perfect driver (we had about 150/200km per day on off road!) and a very good guide. He knows perfectly the roads of the Tarangire, Serengeti and NgoroNgoro parks. Our Italian speaking guide, Nelson, was kind and answered all our questions. We had only one problem at Zanzibar for the transfer from Resort to airport at 4 a.m. that Ozon organization resolved at the last minute.

Incredible safari
We had the experience of a lifetime on our 8-day safari with Ozon Light Tours. The wildlife, landscapes, and the sheer magic of being in the bush were unforgettable—but what truly made our trip exceptional was our guide, Denis.
When booking a safari, you quickly realize there are a ton of tour companies and options. But ultimately, your experience comes down to one thing: your guide. And Denis was everything we could have hoped for and more. Incredibly knowledgeable (especially about the animals—he knew both common and scientific names with ease), endlessly patient, and fun to spend time with, he made every game drive feel special. He was honest about what we might or might not see, but always enthusiastic and tuned in to the experience. He also made sure we were comfortable and cared for, from frequent bathroom stops to thoughtfully chosen stops (e.g. souvenir shops, ATM).
It’s also worth noting that a safari is an adventure—you’re traveling rough roads in remote areas, and things don’t always go perfectly. Our vehicle needed a repair, which is just part of the reality of driving through the wild day after day. But Denis went above and beyond to make sure any issues didn’t impact our experience. He stayed calm, acted quickly, and always found a way to keep things moving smoothly without cutting our time short or compromising the journey.
Communication with Ozon Light Tours was prompt and easy at the time of booking, which we appreciated and part of the reason we chose Ozon. However, we found ourselves needing to follow up on key details—like what to pack, what time pickups would occur, and available add-ons. A bit more proactive communication from Ozon would have made the safari experience and planning process even better.
One piece of advice: absolutely book the balloon safari—just manage your expectations on timing. Floating over the Serengeti at sunrise was one of the most surreal, breathtaking moments of the entire trip. The peaceful lift-off, panoramic views, and golden light over the plains created a dreamlike experience we’ll never forget. The post-flight champagne breakfast was a lovely touch, too.
That said, we were initially told by Ozon that the flight would be 1.5 to 2 hours, then later told by the balloon company (Nyssa) it would be about an hour (depending on weather conditions)—but the actual flight time was closer to 40 minutes. It was still an incredible experience and well worth doing, but it helps to go in with clear expectations. I also highly booking with Nyssa.
All in all, Ozon Light Tours delivered a magical experience (rating of 4), and with Denis as our guide, it became something truly extraordinary (rating of 5). If you’re considering a safari, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ozon—and we highly recommend requesting Denis if you can!
