The tour was very professional.
We did the 4 Island Tour starting in Kibuye. They picked us up directly at our Hotel (Rwiza Village). Our guide Bosco and our boatdriver Alfons were very friendly, welcoming and professional. We got lots of information about the islands and the area of Gitesi. It was good value for the money - we do reccomend it!

Great experiences with Blue Monkey Tours
We took 3 activities with Blue Monkey Tours:
1. The five islands tour at Lake Kivu,
2. A visit at a coffee cooperative and
3. A visit to a banana plantation to experience the banana beer preparation.
The tour and activities were so interesting and enriching that became the highlights of our trip!
Our guides, Bosco and Cendrick, are not only friendly and helpful but also very knowledgeable, insightful, punctual and polite.

Amazing boat tour on Lake Kivu
My friend and I did a 3-hour boat tour on Lake Kivu with Blue Monkey Tours last week, and it was amazing! The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We got to see hundreds of fruit bats, swimming cows, and the beautiful velvet Monkeys. One of them even got on our boat! We also got to do a little hike on one of the islands and saw the sunset at the end of the tour. It was an unforgettable experience...

Knowledgeable, comfortable, and timely
Excellent short tour arranged at short notice to go on a Mountain Gorilla trek leaving from Kigali and staying near Volcano National Park in
very comfortable accommodation.
Clear instructions on what was needed and timings and an informative knowledgeable guide leading the tour. Which overall made for a fantastic experience.

Efficient, knowledgeable team who provided a great experience in Kibuye.
The boat tour was a really memorable experience for me. The guide was very knowledgeable and told me a lot about the lake and Rwanda and was happy to answer any of my questions. We saw all the highlights on the lake from Kibuye including the fruit bats and monkeys.

Great first experience of Rwanda's Safari's
I had a great experience with Blue Monkey. Emmanuel the owner was on hand to meet me in Kigali before the safari and after its completion. The Guide assigned to me was Justin - and he was a very capable and jovial guide. He was knowledgeable and was able to find some great sightings . We managed to hit the big five in 3 days with some exceptions sightings on the final morning.

What an unforgettable day! Our group safari with Blue Monkey Tours was a dream from start to finish. We managed to see four out of the Big Five, and it wasn’t by chance—our drivers and guides went above and beyond to make it happen. You could feel their dedication, experience, and genuine excitement every step of the way.
The game drive was thrilling. From the wide savannahs to the hidden corners of the park, we caught incredible sightings—giraffes, elephants, buffalos, and more. And the boat tour? Next-level. We had a conservation scientist as our guide, which added so much depth and meaning to the experience. It wasn’t just sightseeing—it was learning, connecting, and being humbled by nature.
Lunch was also a standout: beautifully set up, delicious, and thoughtfully planned. Every logistical detail was seamless, allowing us to simply enjoy the day and be present in the moment.

Excellent and highly recommend
We’ve extremely enjoyed the gorilla Trecking tour, made banana beer at the community centre (Red rocks Rwanda in Nyakinama), and Kigali city tour etc, included our spontaneous requests.
Our driver, Abu, has hospitality. Our journey was fun, lots of new learnings, always felt safe and comfortable.

Gorilla Trecking & Kigali City Tour
Our driver Abu was professional and provided best solution for my first travel in Rwanda. We, 3 ladies, went to Volcano National Park in Kinigi for Gorilla Trecking. The experience to spent a time with the Gorilla including babies are incredible, but it’s more thann that. About 3 hours drive from Kigali to Kinigi felt very short, because we learned a lot about culture and life in Rwanda from our driver Abu. He is clever and humble driver as well as guide. He met our demands as much as possible. For example, visiting Dian Fossey Museum and Banana Beer production at Red Rock community center. Our accommodation ( 5 volcanoes) was also wonderful, and I appreciate Blue Monkey Tours a lot, and I highly recommend it to other travelers.
