An Amazing Adventure
My wife and I and two other fellow travelers embarked on an 8 days walking safari with Roko and his wonderful crew. We had two very knowledgeable Maasai guides with us at all times. The supporting team met us ahead with prepared meals and lodging.
We had the amazing opportunity of hiking the backcountry with no other tourists in sight. The guides were very familiar with the terrain and the local tribes. Roko Safaris went above and beyond to make sure we had all the necessities of the trek.
This was a very educational and transformative trip for me. It left me with great memories of the safari and Tanzania. I highly recommend Roko Safaris.

Roko Safaris makes our Lake Natron trip into a fabulous memorable fantastic experience.
We are city folks from Singapore and Lake Natron is the most remote place we have ever been. Many tour operators offer trips to the lake, even Booking com offer a few accommodations choice . But i am so glad i got in touch with Miranda through WhatsApp to plan a 4 days stay. Deciding what we want was easy - to experience the Maasai culture, villages walk, the desolate landscape, the alkaline lake, view wildlife flamingoes, giraffes, zebras, baboons , waterfalls hike, chill out at her lodge. All our wishes are fulfilled! Miranda is easy going and planned the itinerary effortlessly, quick and detailed quote. All to suit your timing, pick up location and return. (Moshi-Natron-Arusha for us) Settling of payment terms was easy through Wise account. The guest house hospitality was amazing, rooms clean and comfortable ensuring a a good sleep. But most of all it is a family cottage and the atmosphere is warm. The team of staff are awesome, friendly and caring. The meals we had are excellent, fresh and healthy. It was a Chef menu every day! and we really enjoyed mealtimes. Although we didn’t plan to climb the volcano mountain. There are enough things to keep you occupied for 2 to 3 days if you are planning to come this way. Two gentlemen assigned to us also makes this journey fun, driver Lazaro and guide Massi. We love their company and plenty of memorable pictures! Miranda can organise safaris with a combination of Lake Natron, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, i am sure it will be fantastic. Thank you to the professional team with years of experience, Roko Safaris kept us safe and happy.

Lazaro exceeded expectations and gave us an experience we won’t forget.
Roko Safaris exceeded our expectations drastically, as two 24 year olds we were looking for a budget safari and what we experienced was priceless. Based off what we saw from other groups our safari experience was more personal and unique than the bigger companies, that seemed to be in it more for the money then giving their clients an experience they won’t forget. Seeing everything we could’ve asked for and more with our guide going to every extent for us. He was even able to drive us to the airport after, was extremely friendly, and knew everything there was to know about the animals and culture within Tanzania. I would highly recommend Roko Safaris to anyone looking for a true safari experience.

Miranda & Roko have planned a divers travelprogram. In advance and during our trip it was really helpful to ask as many questions as you would like to. We started at Tarangire, a great beginning of our Safari. The colours of nature, the rhythmic gait of giraffes and all the animals we spotted on day 1. We’re already in love. Olais is a fantastic (game) driver and his knowledge of nature & culture life was extensive. He is helpful, funny and really relaxed. Our cook Maneno treated us to creative dishes three times a day. Jummie! Following the rhythm of nature, camping with the sounds of wildlife and the raging of the wind. Prescious. Ngorongoro & Serengeti give us the Big 5 and we enjoyed every minute. With the immersion in the life of Maasai we completed our trip at Maasai Guesthouse. 8 days we’ll never forget 💚

Best Safari Company especially for anything around Lake Natron where Roko grew up.
Very communicative and tried to make all our wishes become reality. Especially the multi day hike from the ngorongoro highlands to lake natron was my highlight that not every safari company is able to organize.
Sleeping in tents with bonfire under the stars in non-touristy areas was the perfect combo before heading to the Serengeti.
We regretted not staying at Roko’s guesthouse “Maasai Guesthouse” which we later visited during the day and is way nicer than expected. On par with some of the much more expensive lodges nearby.

Fun and full of adventure with Roko Safaris!
I completed a 4-day walking trek through Ngorongoro to Lake Natron with Roko Safaris. It was a great experience! The scenery was beautiful and the hike was well organized by Roko Safaris. Roko was my guide the whole time and his team on the trek made me feel really comfortable. Roko is really knowledgeable about the area. Overall I had a great time and highly recommend!

It was a fantastic trip, with beautiful nature, a lot of animals, experienced culture of Tanzania
Roko and the driver were very experienced, very enthusiastic and showed us the most beautiful places and animals on Safari. We stayed in various beautiful accomodaties, with goed food. The patience of both men in guiding us to the best viewing spots for animals was remarkable.

Very personal, caring and flexibel.
We had a fantastic 10-day tour with Roko Safaris.
Everything was easily arranged in advance through Miranda in Dutch, which was really convenient.
This made it easy to plan our trip to all our wishes

In Tanzania, Roko met us immediately at the airport, and from that moment on, he was our guide.
He truly took care of everything. Nothing was too much trouble. If you wanted to do something in between, or something extra it was no problem.
Our driver, Ephata, was also fantastic, we always felt very safe in the car.
I found the good atmosphere and humor we had in the car with Roko and Ephata very important.
The safaris were fantastic, with Roko's keen eye and extensive knowledge of animals, both Roko and Ephata.
We saw a lot of beautiful animals much more then we expected.
We also saw a tremendous amount of culture. Especially meeting the Maasai and staying with Roko and Miranda at Lake Natron was very enjoyable and special.
If I make another trip like this, it would definitely be with Roko Safaris.

Amazing custom made!
We’ve booked a safari for 6 days (me&partner). You can tell on forehand what you want to do/to see and the price range. They’ll arrange everything and you can make the perfect costum made safari there it’s private. Communication is perfect and quick. They can also give you tips for hotels or company’s for climbing mount Kilimanjaro.
Roko and Epatha (the driver) picked us up in our hotel in Arusha and were with us the whole 6 days. After the safari they dropped us at our hotel.
The food, snacks and drinks were good and the accomodations were good as well. Roko and Epatha did the best they could do to see as many animals as possible. We’ve really enjoyed it!

Top notch personalized itinerary that made our first safari experience unforgettable
We are very glad we chose Roko Safaris for our safari. We had contacts with Miranda before the departure - she was always very responsive and informative. We also had the flexibility of personalizing the original itinerary with a couple of extra activities and with logistic details that better suited our needs. Once our safari began, we immediately appreciated their organization and professionalism, along with their friendliness. We had the pleasure to sleep at their guest house for the first two nights. The landscapes and the view over lake Natron were wonderful and peaceful. Our last night it was my birthday, and they surprised me with a super tasty cake and a local celebration. That made it a very special birthday. We were also very satisfied of the safari itself. Our driver and guide Epahta is very knowledgeable and helped us spot so many animals on the way. After the second day, we already saw most of the animals we wanted to see. Epahta was also very respectful of the parks' rules and made sure that the animals were not disturbed or bothered by our presence there. He also told us some interesting facts on what we were seeing, for example how to distinguish the various types of antelopes, or some information about the animals behaviors. If you are looking for a company to assist you with your safari trip, look no further. Roko safari is a great choice and they will for sure go the extra mile to make sure you will have the best experience!
