Exceptional, absolutely perfect, you need to book with them if you want the perfect Safari
5/5

I don't even know where to begin to describe my incredible Kenyan safari experience with Safari herd, if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Prior to getting there, the Sheldrick Trust baby elephant orphanage was fully booked unfortunately & we really wanted to visit. Patrick the managing director somehow managed to book us in as he didn't want us to miss out, which was fantastic! He also ensured our stay in a preferred lodge despite them being fully booked, both of which we were very grateful for.

After a long journey to Kenya from the UK, we were met by Patrick. A very personal touch, not something ive seen before. He came to make us feel welcome & to introduce himself. I was very impressed from the get go, Paul our Safari guide was lovely.
They had been waiting for hours for our arrival, we were met with warm & welcoming smiles & words. Patrick was very lovely, he made us feel very welcome, comfortable & made sure we knew we could go to him if we had any problems.
On our transfer to our hotel, they made sure that we didn't need or want for anything. What a wonderful start, it give us a warm feeling.

Immediately on leaving the airport, they started pointing out some of the wildlife & we saw Zebras.

Here our journey began, Patrick & Paul made sure to point out anything that was of interest, any landmarks & wildlife.

We were taken on our visit to the baby elephant orphanage which was just a truly heartwarming experience, I totally recommend it. Paul was great to have conversation with, incredibly hardworking, professional & helpful.

We made our way to Amboseli National Park. Paul made sure we had plenty of bottled water & juice for the entirety of our Safari, this was very welcome & great customer service, Safari Herd ensured our welfare was well looked after & made sure we had everything we wanted.

Paul pointed out lots wildlife, including a herd of 4 giraffe.

Paul made sure we were comfortable, ensuring rest stops on the way & answering any questions we had, it was clear he was very knowledgeable.
He was very organised, ensuring we knew times for our game drives & we were happy throughout.

He informed us we would be doing a taster game drive on the journey, that was an understatement!

We saw so much wildlife - Zebras, wildebeest, warthogs & so many elephants, we were already blown away. Paul was clearly absolutely brilliant at his job.

We saw Hyenas & their pups, Lions, Cape Buffalo, Ostrich & eagles & Mt Kilimanjaro.
We also saw a herd of wildebeest & zebra stampede!

We saw 3 out of the big 5 in the first 2 days.

Then to Lake Naivasha, a boat ride ride to Crescent Island had been organised for us.
Once again breathtaking, so many birds & hippos.
The walk on the island was amazing & so close to the wild animals.

We had a game drive at Lake Nakuru, an abundance of wildlife - Rhinos, flamingos, Cheetahs,& beautiful birds. One thing I must say is how experienced a safari guide Paul is, how he spotted the animals is beyond me, he didn't miss a thing which is the best guide to have.

Then to the Maasai Mara to finish, the most wonderful end to our trip.
Paul being the perfect safari guide took us to all the best spots, he was very talented on guiding us to take the best possible pictures whilst positioning his vehicle perfectly.
He pointed out so much wildlife for us that we simply would not have seen ourselves - Jackals, Mongoose, a pack of lions and cubs, cheetah, Hyenas, eagles, pelicans, storks, Thompsons/grants gazelle, antelopes, impalas, crocodiles, waterbucks & really rare wildlife, the list goes on.

Finally, thanks to Paul, we were lucky to see the great migration, 1000's of Wildebeest & Zebra & 2 river crossings.
As if it couldn't get any better, Paul was the ONLY tour guide out of 100's who spotted a Leopard, completing the big 5 & 9.

Paul & Patrick you made our dreams come true!

We will be forever grateful to Paul & Patrick Safari Herd, thank you for hosting us.

We cannot recommend them enough. If you are planning a safari, please book the best - Safari Herd. You will not regret it!

Just spent an amazing 8 days safari with our guide Edward who went above & beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Each day was perfectly organised & we had the best time. We saw almost everything we had hope to see.
