Wild for Game Safaris exceeded our expectations
5/5

Our Wild for Game Botswana Safari was 13 days. We had a very rewarding trip which exceeded our expectations and saw every animal we had hoped to see and more. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to be helpful and considerate. They are very efficient at braking down, moving and setting up camp. The chef is very skilled and prepared a variety of delicious meals. Malks, our guide, possessed an intimate knowledge of the terrain, the animals and their habits. He easily tracked and located animals and positioned the Land Cruiser to afford the best possible encounters. Malks was often the first guide to locate animals and we could see that other guides respected his skill and experience. He continually taught us about the country, insects, birds, animals, vegetation and weather which was very informative. He mixed up the outings to give us a variety of experiences; bush, plains, forest, boating trips etc. We are recommending Wild for Game Safaris for a memorable experience.

Stop searching. This is the safari tour operator you’re looking for.
5/5

I was you - reading every review to make sure I picked the right tour operator to make our group of four’s African safari dream come true. With these guys, we got far more than our wildest dreams!

Our guide Max and his incredible team - Pula, Chucks and MD - were absolutely phenomenal on our 5-day mobile safari in Khwai. From the moment we met them, it felt like we’d known them all our lives, which is honestly one of the most underestimated parts of a safari. You don’t realise how important that connection is until it’s time to wave them all goodbye.

Max was exceptional. He relied on his own skill, instincts and experience, often taking his own routes rather than following radio chatter from other guides. He knew exactly what he was doing and where he was going. On our first full day, Max tracked down a huge pride of lions that I lost count of how many there were, including a female with her two cubs who had become separated before we found the pride. We were beyond chuffed! Thanks to Max, we had countless unforgettable encounters including: a leopard and cub before we’d even reached camp on the day we were picked up, lone male lions, wild dogs, hyenas, elephants, plethora of birds and more leopards on most days! (+ so much more).

One of the biggest advantages of this mobile safari is that you’re not tied to the clock. Other groups often had to rush off to lodges or scheduled activities at a sighting, but we could stay, watch, and truly marvel at what was before us. No rushing - just being present. This is exactly what I think a safari should be. (Plus, our vehicle was a beast. We very much enjoyed looking at all the other vehicles and thinking ours was x10 better!)

Food was one of our biggest concerns, as three of the four of us have coeliac disease. Lucas (owner) reassured me during booking that this would be taken seriously - and he absolutely delivered. Not a single symptom. Pula, our camp chef, went above and beyond, baking gluten-free bread, muffins and cakes daily, alongside incredible meals - including a gluten-free lasagne! How he managed that in a camp kitchen is beyond me. For anyone hitting Ctrl+F searching for “gluten free”: you’re in very safe hands.

Safety was another concern going in. I couldn’t really imagine sleeping in a tent with wildlife roaming outside, but having now experienced it, I wouldn’t do it any other way! We felt completely safe in our tent, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush. The tents were actually incredible, comfortable and with an open-roof ensuite. It had everything we needed and it was ready when we needed it.

Their ability to host you as a guest is second to none. At the end of our trip, Lucas even stopped by our hotel to hear about everything we’d seen and done. It honestly felt like catching up with an old friend. Because of this team, we fell completely in love with Botswana - the wildlife, the people, and the experience.

We thought this was a one and done safari situation, but not anymore! We'll definitely be booking again, so stop searching and book with Lucas right now. You won’t regret it!

Safari Company of Dreams!!!
5/5

Book your safari with Wild For Game end of!!What a company. Lucas is the owner and is an absolute gentleman and was pleasure to deal with.I booked the safari myself and it was all so easy. We emailed back and forth with dates and trip suggestions and we chose Delta Miracle Trip.It was 6 night mobile camping in Moremi and Khwai and was an AMAZING experience. Our guide Marks is experienced ,knowledgeable, cares so much for the land and animals and was great fun too.We had Chacks looking after our amazing camp, Matengo was our waiter and Pula was our chef. These guys looked after us soooo well, always with a smile on their face .Accommodation was absolutely gorgeous as was the food.Honestly we were blown away with the experience. It's a small safari company that I hope goes from strength to strength because everyone who looked after us truly are the best of Africa.
In terms of value for money and cost, everyone says Botswana safaris are super expensive, this was not and we did not expect the level of service and accommodation given what the cost was.we truly were blown away with our experience. Campsite set up just for us -there was 2 of us,with no other camps/ppl near us and as for the standard of accommodation, we wanted for nothing!all the small touches you would get in actual accomodation were there in the tent!and the attention to detail from Chacks,Matengo,Pula and Marks has to be experienced to be believed. The game drives were truly a dream and Mark's knowledge and experience of the area and it's animals just elevated it to another level, tracking Lions and Cheetah by their tracks and alarm calls of other animals. No relying on the radio for Marks! It truly was once in a lifetime experience -except we will definitely be back for more and it will be with Wild For Game no question. As I said at that start book your Botswana safari with Wild For Game end of ,you will want for nothing and have the experience of a lifetime.

Most knowledgeable, amazing tracker , best fun guide.
5/5

The camping experience brought us closer to the animals and birds than I could believe. The sound of the bell frogs. The call of the fish eagle. The deep growls of the lions. The hippos honking. Thrilling to be under canvas and experience it all! Lucas is such an experienced guide. He persuaded us to sit and wait patiently and quietly. Other trucks moved on while we waited. As a result we witnessed incredible scenes of a leopard kill, wild dogs hunting and elephants rushing towards the waterhole at the end of a very hot day. Magical!
The tents were comfortable and the food incredible. The attention to detail was five star.
The early morning start meant we were able to see so much more ,especially birds, that Lucas was so knowledgeable about, as well as following the fresh animal tracks on the sandy road. All thrilling.

Brilliant Mobile safari
5/5

Brilliant outfit. Fantastic safari. Excellent organisation, communication , attentive, professional and productive.
Would totally recommend. Lucas ( owner and guide) runs a great business and achieves excellence from all of his team. This delivers results. We had multiple encounters with lions, leopards , 185 species of birds. Lucas is a very skilled guide ( I have been on 4 safaris before and he is the best I have experienced). Food was fantastic given it was cooked on a camping oven- homemade cakes/ bread/ meals. Great campfire banter and amazing sounds at night . Mobile safaris are not easy to organise but wildforgame is well resourced and organised. Highly motivated team effort with a combination of fun and professionalism. If you are keen on wildlife, value early starts to capture the “golden hour” and even better you are a keen photographer this is the safari for you. You travel slowly and see so much more. Lucas has the skills to track, listen and locate the action and without him we would have missed so much. Can’t recommend wildforgame enough and is a great experience. The tents have comfortable beds and an attached ensure and camping shower! Great sunsets / great sightings ! N

WOW the most amazing safari
5/5

The best safari experiences our family ever had. We didn’t expect so professional team, so good experience from first day when Lucas come and greet us at airport Till last day when Max left us on day we go back from our trip. Botswana have a lot to ofer, wild life landscapes culture, everywhere our guide Max took us was something amazing to see he was so good at wild animals tracking. Our family will always recommend Lucas company, actually we already decide to go again. Tailored safaris are really good as our family could enjoy all experience as it was only us in car no others expect our Guide, who do everything to make us amazed. 11 days is perfect for this kind of safari, we enjoy it very much, with all professional way Lucas team take care of us was amazing, obviously not everyone can enjoy it as you need to sleep in tents take shower in nature but for us it was one of the most amazing experience in our life, In our opinion price was much better then travel companies for experience Lucas give us, and after all the way from Maun to Kasane Lucas book us very comfortable Lodge for us to enjoy rest of ours stay. Our Guide Max stay with us till end as well he went with us to Victoria falls which was very nice and professional. Wild for games safari will always be in our hearts, and we can’t wait to go with them again.

Wild for Game is a game changer!
5/5

This was a personalized itinerary that Lucas designed after giving him my requests for visiting the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls. My friends and I had spent the 2 weeks prior in the Serengeti and this was our third week in Africa. Before starting this week, I honestly wondered if we would see anything new or if we should’ve planned something entirely different. Wow- I’m so glad we did this week!! We had an absolutely amazing time in Botswana with Wild For Game and our fantastic guide, Max. He was tremendous and so full of knowledge. The mobile tent camps, small staff, and personal care and attention completely immersed us! This was even better than I had hoped. I would highly recommend this company! We learned so much. Max was able to track and identify animal behaviors that got us up close to so many awesome animals and experiences- A leopard resting after stashing her kill, an eagle diving and capturing prey, lions and elephants incredibly close with babies and even African wild dogs, not just one but 14!! Also, Max was with us the entire time, helping us cross the border, visiting Vic falls and the town, and able to share meals with Max helped us truly learn and appreciate every aspect of our trip. This was absolutely a trip of a lifetime! Wild for game takes their trips to a whole other elevated level :)

WOW!!
5/5

We could not have imagined a more wonderful two weeks in Northern Botswana than the safari we experienced with Lucas Tshupo and his team.
From meeting us at the airstrip in Xakanaxa until we parted company after our final breakfast in Victoria Falls, Lucas was with us, and with his team of Musa, Two Metres and Madu, looked after us every minute.
Lucas is a dedicated naturalist who is also an amazing guide and photographer. His passion for the wildlife, people and landscapes of Botswana was evident in every aspect of the safari. The number and diversity of animals and birds that we saw was astonishing and made even more memorable through the detail of background and behaviour that Lucas shared with us. We could not have had a better guide.
His team were wonderful, too. Musa, Two Metres and Madu, who moved our camp so efficiently every three days, made our camping experience so enjoyable: delicious food, the cheerful wakeup call, warm water in the morning and showers in the evening, comfortable beds, beautifully laid tables, our every need anticipated. Add to that the pre-dinner drinks round the campfire with the calls of the bush around us, and then in the morning the night sounds giving way to the birds...
Two excellent boat trips gave us a different view of the animals and the landscape, one in a Moroko in Kwai and one in a motorboat on the Chobe River. The last two days were spent in Victoria Falls in a very comfortable lodge, allowing us to visit the spectacular falls with Lucas.
We will never forget this experience - our first in Africa. Pictures come into the mind: of elephants playing in water, of a leopard in a tree, of lion cubs drinking from a waterhole, of wild dogs rolling in cooling mud, of seven carmine bee-eaters on a branch. And so many other animals and birds that a mere list of everything we saw would be inadequate. They were all around us. The most frequently used expression every day was 'Wow'...
We were so sorry to say goodbye to it all, and especially to Lucas and his team, who gave us this experience of a lifetime. We cannot thank them enough.

Brilliant experience – trip of a lifetime
5/5

The 4 of us enjoyed Wild for Game’s 15 day mobile safari though the Okavango taking in Moremi, Kwai, Savuti, Chobe Riverfront and Victoria Falls. It was such a varied and exciting trip through Northern Botswana, made special by our guide Lucas Tshupo and the warmth and humour of his team. Lucas, the owner of the Wild for Game company, is a Batswana as is the team, so all your money stays in country, a key factor for us. Communication with Lucas from my initial enquiry until we arrived in Moremi was quick, by return, warm and comprehensive in attention to detail.

Lucas must be THE top guide in Botswana, so extensive and deep is his knowledge. His ability to see animals and birds while driving through the bush is uncanny and enriched our experience beyond measure: the leopard visible only by its head briefly silhouetted at the base of a termite mound; the twitch of a bat-eared fox’s ear above tall grasses; the mark of a snake in the sand by the track, none of which we’d have seen without Lucas. A keen naturalist and photographer himself, Lucas would always attempt to position our vehicle to provide us with the best angle for a picture or to sit and experience a herd of elephant moving slowly down to water. Well-thumbed reference books were always by his side for us to look at or to help us identify an animal, a bird, a reptile or a plant. Immensely respectful of the wildlife and the environment, or his fellow guides, Lucas never crowded an animal and was always alert to a threat or the needs of other groups approaching. We were never rushed, Lucas preferring to drift along a road and always with time to sit, switch off the engine and listen, taking in sights, sounds and smells.

Our tents beds and facilities were very comfortable. A mobile safari involves erecting all the tents and breaking camp every 3 nights to move to the next place. The camp staff, Musa, Twometres and Madu, were superb, each with well-defined roles, welcoming, warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate extremely well: just how Musa turns out a souffle on a camp stove defies belief, but he did. A 5.30am wake-up brought warm water for a quick wash before breakfast, hot porridge, juice, fruit, tea, coffee, all before piling into the Landcruiser for the morning game drive. Lunch in camp or as a picnic when on the move and evening dinner was different but delicious every day. Drinks by the evening campfire listening to bullfrogs, hippos and owls, a hyena in the distance, was just so relaxing after a hard day watching lions bringing cubs down to drink, elephants, buffalo, antelope of every stripe, carmine bee-eaters, whatever.

It was hot – up to 40C – but there was always shade in camp and the afternoon/evening game drive started as it cooled when wildlife began to move again. Night falls swiftly in Botswana, dark shortly after 6.30pm, but the sunsets (and sunrises) were spectacular. A couple of night-drives revealed spring hares, honey badgers, a hyena cooling in water and uniquely, a Genet cat hunting and catching a rodent, Exciting!

Ours was the experience of a lifetime to linger long in the memory and to share with family and friends for ever. If you want to see Botswana, Wild for Game should be absolutely the first safari company you look at. We would wholeheartedly recommend Lucas and his team without reservation. For your trip of a lifetime!

Safari of a lifetime!
5/5

I could not have imagined a better safari than the safari that Wild For Game provided for us. From the second that we got into the truck to the second we left, Lucas was full of information and ready to answer any question that we asked. Each day, we seemed to be one of the first safari companies out of the campsites and one of the last returning, making the most of the time on the game drives. Lucas used bird calls, baboon alarms, and tracks in the sand to help us find every animal that we wanted to see, including leopards, cheetahs, lions, wild dogs, elephants (which are hilarious to watch!!) , giraffes, and so much more! The highlight was seeing all the different babies of each animal species; they are so cute! Lucas gave us plenty of time at each animal viewing, and we never felt rushed to move on before we were ready. Each game drive had some new and exciting things to see, including the beautiful and vast landscape of the three different parks.

Not only was the guide, Lucas, and the game drives top-notch the rest of the staff and accommodations were great as well. Each day you were served delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I was so impressed with what can be made in a bush oven. Although you are staying in a tent, it was definitely glamping not camping. We had comfortable beds, hot showers, and laundry services if needed. The staff was so kind and was available to help anytime a request was made.

If you are looking for an adventure, I highly recommend booking with Wild For Game Safaris!
