Full of unhappiness and regret
WARNING⚠️.There is a fake review in the comments section. We really felt that our vacation was ruined by Leroy en we think he is a fraud. He likes to talk on the phone while driving, and his driving habits are very rude and dangerous. You will feel your bones fall apart in the car. During the safari, he didn't work hard at all, just wanted to finish work early and drink beer all night. When driving, he basically went back and forth in the park in the wrong way and circled, wasting everyone's time. Very unprofessional. If he doesn't want to work, he should just quit! There are so many cockroaches in the car that you dare not sleep at all, otherwise the cockroaches will crawl into your eyes, nose and ears! Very bad experience! He will force a five-star review at the end of the project! It's ridiculous! I can only dare to post this review when my flight takes off! They also force Chinese people to tip $10 per person every day, but there is only poor service. It feels like being robbed. I don't want to come to Kenya again! They treat white people with respect like a master, and treat Chinese people like we owe them money,But the fact is that Chinese people pay more than white people. The service attitude is very poor and unfriendly. You can choose any company, but not this one.

Good.
When one thinks of Kenya, the mind typically conjures images of vast savannahs, majestic wildlife, and breathtaking sunsets. Yet, for those of us blessed to have been guided by Ken, the soul of Kenya revealed itself not in a landscape, but in a person—warm, knowledgeable, and profoundly human.
Ken is more than a guide; he is a storyteller, a guardian, and a friend. His keen, patient eyes could discern a leopard perfectly camouflaged in a distant tree long before any of us. With a quiet signal to stop the vehicle and a hushed, "Look, there she is," he did not merely point out an animal—he shared a hidden secret of the wild.
His knowledge was as deep as it was humble. He spoke not just of species, but of stories—unfolding the intricate behaviors of animals and their delicate roles within the ecosystem. Under his guidance, a simple game drive became a moving lesson in the interconnectedness of life.
But beyond his expertise, it was Ken's genuine heart that left an indelible mark. He carried a palpable, infectious pride for his homeland, sharing tales of his community with a smile that warmed even the coolest morning. He attended to our every need with unwavering grace, making us feel not as tourists, but as honored guests in his country.
Ken did not just show us Kenya. He taught us to feel its rhythm, respect its spirit, and love its very essence. He is the true treasure of the safari, a memory etched in our hearts forever. Ken—thank you for sharing your world with us.

A Rocky Start Turned into an Unforgettable Safari in a lifetime — Thanks to Ken!
Our safari with Jungleroam started off with an unfortunate incident. On our first day of safari, we unfortunately experienced a car accident when our first guide tried to avoid a motorcycle that suddenly braked in front of us. The distance between the vehicles was so close that a collision couldn’t be avoided. Two of our companions were injured, and one even needed stitches at a local hospital. It was a terrifying night, and for a moment, we seriously considered ending our trip and flying home.
Thankfully, Jungleroam replaced our guide with Ken — and everything changed from that point on. Ken is an exceptionally skilled and careful driver. Even in heavy traffic or on crowded roads, he always stays calm and patient, never rushing and always waiting for the safest moment to overtake.
During the safari, Ken impressed us with his deep knowledge of the wildlife. He always seemed to know exactly where to find the animals and positioned our jeep perfectly for the best views and photos. Even after we had already seen most of the animals on the very first day, Ken continued to surprise us with new sightings and moments we’ll never forget. Unlike our first guide, he doesn’t talk constantly, but his quiet confidence and genuine care speak louder than words.
While our experience with Jungleroam started off rocky — with slow communication on WhatsApp and the initial accident — we would still recommend them wholeheartedly only because of Ken. His professionalism, kindness, and warmth truly turned our safari into an unforgettable experience in a lifetime.

Very cost-effective travel agency,Professional guide services
Our guide was KEN, who was meticulous in planning the next day's itinerary a day in advance and taking us to find many animals every day, and each animal was explained. All 6 of us were very satisfied with his service.

Professional, personalized, and unforgettable – especially with Ken as our guide!
Our safari with Jungleroam Safaris in October was absolutely incredible, thanks largely to our guide, Ken. From the start, communication was smooth and everything was well-organized. Ken’s knowledge of wildlife and his ability to spot animals made each game drive exciting and educational. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience – always patient, friendly, and attentive to our interests. The value for money was outstanding, and we felt completely safe and cared for throughout the trip. I highly recommend Jungleroam Safaris, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Ken as your guide

This was my worst trip ever.
Problem 1: Communication breakdown. I repeatedly asked for two rooms when getting the quote, yet at payment I was told the price was wrong and I had to pay more. When I tried to talk to the boss, she was inflexible and refused to negotiate.
Problem 2: No credibility. An activity we had agreed on was cancelled when we arrived at the hotel; when I asked the boss, she simply said the contract was mis-written and refused to honor it, again with a hard-line attitude.
Problem 3: I understand it was a group tour, but the bus was packed to capacity and crammed with luggage, leaving no space to move or take decent photos— the travel experience was extremely poor.
Problem 4: The driver’s attitude was terrible. He wouldn’t allow photo stops; you could only stop where he thought it was okay— you weren’t allowed to suggest where you wanted to shoot.(this is real, we tried to ask him to stop so we can take photo ,and this is how he refuse us
When you tried to reason with the boss, she actually said, “Everyone else is fine—only you have a problem.” It’s simply unbelievable.

Mixed experience - really depends on your guide
I have to give a bit of a mixed review. I was on a group 4-day safari in Maasai Mara and Nakuru, which I booked specifically because it had good reviews.
For the first half of the trip, I had an amazing experience. My guide was Sir Charles and he gave us a lot of information about what we were seeing, scouted out where animals may be, and tried to get us the best views of everything. I think you really couldn't ask for more in a guide and the park itself really exceeded my expectations. I think we saw pretty much everything except a leopard and I had a lot of fun as well.
After Maasai Mara, I was the only one from the group not going back to Nairobi, so I was passed to another guide for the end of my trip in Nakuru. The other guide (Andrew) unfortunately did not seem to care much. He didn't give us any information and when we asked questions, only gave one-word answers. He was not looking for animals. If we wanted to see something, we had to spot it ourselves and then yell for him to stop. He also did not have water, which was supposed to be provided. He generally seemed to not care about our experience and the entire group was pretty upset. Still very cool to see rhinos and such, but it put a bit of a damper on the experience.
Overall, I think your experience really depends a lot on your guide, and it seems you have no control over this. I guess all these small companies are beneath one larger umbrella company and they pass customers around from vehicle to vehicle based on where each car is going. Overall, Maasai Mara is amazing, but I wish there was a bit more transparency about what we booked and who we would be with.

Exceptional 7-Day Safari – JungleRoam Safaris Exceeded All Expectations!
We have just returned from a wonderful 7-day, 6-night budget safari with our guide, Samuel, and we cannot recommend JungleRoam Safaris highly enough.
Our trip started with a major complication: our flight to Nairobi suffered a bird strike, causing a 24-hour delay. We were worried about missing our start date, but the JungleRoam office was incredible. They rearranged our entire itinerary to begin a day later with no financial penalty—a level of service that truly set the tone for the trip.
From the moment we met Samuel at the Nairobi office, he made our family (including two teenage sons) feel welcome and safe. Throughout our journey through the Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli, Samuel’s expertise was evident. He knows the routes and the wildlife like the back of his hand and was always happy to accommodate our requests for extra time at sightings. He was also incredibly resourceful; when our planned boat trip in Naivasha was overbooked, he quickly arranged an alternative so we didn’t miss out. Even during heavy downpours and holiday traffic, we felt completely safe in his hands.
Don’t let the "budget" label deter you. The hotels and camps were clean, safe, and more than adequate for our family. We enjoyed authentic Kenyan cuisine throughout, which added a wonderful layer of cultural immersion to the trip.
If you are on the fence about booking a Kenyan safari, don’t hesitate. Ask for Samuel—you won’t regret it!

I had the pleasure of traveling with Caleb during my recent safari in Kenya
I had the pleasure of traveling with Caleb during my recent safari in Kenya, and I can confidently say that he made the experience unforgettable. As a driver and guide, Caleb is exceptional in every way, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and passionate guide.
Firstly, Caleb’s driving skills are top-notch. The roads in Kenya can be challenging, especially on safari routes, but Caleb handled the vehicle with incredible skill and precision. His driving was not only smooth and comfortable but also extremely safe and stable, ensuring that we were always at ease while traveling on both rough and paved roads. He is clearly an experienced driver, able to navigate the terrain effortlessly while prioritizing the safety of everyone on board.
Caleb’s expertise as an animal specialist is equally impressive. He has a deep knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife and is an avid naturalist, making him an ideal guide for anyone interested in the animals and ecosystems of the region. During our safari, Caleb was quick to spot animals from afar, often before other guides had even noticed them. His keen eye and ability to identify animals from a distance meant that we were always among the first to arrive at an exciting sighting, allowing us to get the best views and take amazing photos. His passion for wildlife was evident in every interaction, and he shared fascinating facts about the animals, their behaviors, and their habitats, which made the whole experience even more enriching.
One of the things I appreciated most about Caleb was his communication. He speaks English very well, and his ability to explain complex information in a clear and engaging way made our trip even more enjoyable. Beyond his knowledge, Caleb’s warm and friendly demeanor made him a joy to be around. He was always enthusiastic, upbeat, and had a calm, positive attitude, even in challenging situations. His ability to stay composed and professional, especially when dealing with any unexpected situations or local issues, helped us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our journey.
Additionally, Caleb went above and beyond to assist with any local matters that arose during our trip. Whether it was helping us communicate with local vendors or offering advice on navigating certain cultural situations, Caleb was always there to lend a hand. His knowledge of the local area, its people, and its customs was invaluable, making our safari not only a wildlife adventure but also a cultural exploration.
In conclusion, Caleb is a fantastic driver and guide whose professionalism, expertise, and warmth made our safari experience truly special. If you are planning a trip to Kenya and want a knowledgeable, safe, and friendly guide, look no further than Caleb. He will ensure that you have an unforgettable and seamless experience.
