An Exceptional and Unforgettable Safari Experience
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Blends of Africa.
Everything was perfect from start to finish: flawless organization, personalized support, and a team that truly cares. Special thanks to Kevin for his professionalism and remarkable attention, especially with the children.
The safari, the accommodations such as Sopa Lodge, and every detail of the trip went far beyond our expectations. We will cherish the wonderful memories of this unique journey.
We wholeheartedly recommend Blends of Africa to anyone wishing to experience an authentic and exceptional adventure in Africa.

Excellent and fully tailored to your wishes
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Blends of Africa! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and exceeded our expectations. 5 star review!!
One of the highlights of our journey was seeing so many wild animals in their natural habitat - we not only saw the big five but even the big ten. Every game drive brought new surprises and breathtaking encounters. Our guide (Christopher Musau) was outstanding, not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also truly enthusiastic. He made every effort to show us the best of the wildlife and helped us spot animals we might never have noticed on our own. His passion and energy made the experience even more special.
The accommodations arranged for us were excellent, offering both comfort and authentic charm after our adventurous days. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, which made the trip seamless and stress-free.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, filled with unforgettable moments. We cannot thank Blends of Africa and our guide enough for making it so extraordinary. Highly recommended to anyone dreaming of experiencing Africa in the most genuine and memorable way!

Great experience
They were very professional. Terry was very kind and she always answered fast. She help us a lot and did her best to accomplish our requirements, 10/10 to her.
The safari vehicles were brand new and the guides maintained them very clean. We had Mugambi and Issac as guides. They also did a great job and make us every day to be amazing.
The whole experience was just awesome!!!
Thanks Blend od Africa!!!

Seamless experience!
We had a phenomenal experience working with Blends of Africa to arrange our honeymoon safari. From the very first inquiry, they stood out for their clear, detailed, and transparent pricing—something that’s rare among safari operators. There were no hidden costs, no vague estimates, just an honest and straightforward breakdown of every element of the trip. That immediately gave us confidence that we were working with the right company.
Everything ran smoothly before and once we arrived. We had done a lot of our own research and knew exactly where we wanted to go and stay, and even though our itinerary did not fall into one of the preset tours the company already had, they still handled all the arrangements flawlessly—coordinating transfers, domestic flights, and logistics between camps. Every detail was thought through, and we never once had to worry about schedules or connections. They communicated with the camps before and during our stay, and the camps commented on how attentive our outfitter was, and they were impressed with their concern for us.
Throughout the planning process, communication was excellent. They were always responsive, patient with our many questions, and willing to make adjustments so the itinerary was tailored to exactly to what we wanted.
They had no issues handling some last-minute changes we made during the trip when we decided to return to Nairobi early. They had someone ready to drive us around for the day for some sightseeing and watch our luggage, with very little notice and at a reasonable cost.
Another huge advantage is that Blends of Africa is a local company rather than a foreign outfitter, allowing us to support people on the ground directly. The value for money was outstanding and the same price (or better!) as booking ourselves and less expensive than other outfitters for the same itinerary.
Everything exceeded our expectations, and we had a seamless, unforgettable safari experience. I cannot recommend Robert, Mary, Ben, and team highly enough—if you’re looking for a reliable, professional, and genuinely excellent safari operator, they’re the one to choose.
P.S. we stayed at Loldia House in Naivasha and Kicheche Valley in Naboisho for 6 nights - a perfect combo! If we were do do anything differently, we would have spent more time on safari and done Laikipia or Amboseli or another day at Kicheche. We did do 3 days at Diani Beach which was pleasant but we preferred the safari experience more! Whatever you choose, ask Robert for recommendations, he knows his stuff!

Epic Experience
Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate exceeded all expectations. From the tranquil boat rides on the lake, spotting hippos and birds to cycling through Hell's Gate cliffs. The landscapes were stunning, the freedom of exploring the park on a bike, surrounded by unique rock formations and sounds of nature was a soul soothing escape.
Whether you're seeking peace or a bit of adventure, this destination offers the best of them

Amazing experience with Blends of Africa.
Just one of a kind experience with Blends of Africa. I travelled to Naivasha for a getaway and all I can say is wow! Wow! Wow! The Service, the planning, the activities-boat riding, getting closer to the wild by cycling-what an adventure at Hells Gate- and the accommodation choice was spectacular. Thanks to the team for coordinating the lunch at Naivasha Kongoni Lodge, which to me was amazing because I had the opportunity to try/explore different hotels and their offerings. The budget was favourable and the team kept in touch throughout the safari which made me feel sure and in the right hands. Y'all need to try planning with blends if youre thinking of a safari or even a getaway of your own preference. I guarantee you the best experience!

Fantastic Amboseli Trip with Blends of Africa Adventures!
We four had an amazing time in Amboseli thanks to Blends of Africa Adventures! Our guide, Chris, was excellent - knowledgeable, sharp-eyed (spotting incredible wildlife!), safe, and great fun. Mary, who handled our booking, was invaluable, responsive, and ensured everything ran smoothly. We felt very well taken care of throughout the trip. Highly recommend Chris, Mary, and Blends of Africa Adventures for a delightful safari experience!

7 days in Kenya and Tanzania with Blends of Africa - a trip of a lifetime!
I made a very last-minute decision to travel solo to Kenya and Tanzania. Given the limited time I had before the dates of my trip (we’re talking days - not weeks, not months - days), I quickly reached out to a number of safari operators to get itineraries and price quotes. Blends of Africa was one of the few who responded almost immediately. Mary was super professional and prompt in her replies, designing a customised itinerary that suited my required pick up and drop off locations, duration and budget. Blends was also the only operator who provided a detailed breakdown of the individual costs, rather than just a general figure. While Blends did have relatively fewer reviews compared to other much larger operators (seeing as they are quite new), I trusted my gut and went ahead with them - with absolutely no regrets. There were a few minor logistical issues that were raised, but they were resolved early and with no further issues (E.g., 1-2 original lodges they’d planned to book for me were sold out, but Mary immediately offered alternatives which were similar, if not better).
Everything was hassle free from the minute I arrived to the time I left. My guides / drivers, Chris (Kenyan leg) and Erick (Tanzanian leg) were full of knowledge and experience, providing a wealth of information about the wildlife, people, and overall history of the places we visited. Thanks to Chris and Erick, I was lucky enough to spot all of the Big Five (plus so many other animals) across the various national parks and reserves - I visited Masai Mara National Reserve, Central Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. It’s hard to pick a favourite because they were all spectacular in their own way, and the landscapes were so varied. A few major highlights for me were (a) at Masai Mara, spotting three napping lions under a tree and a lone leopard up in the same tree, (b) seeing a pride of lions prowling with their cubs at sunset just outside my lodge in Serengeti, (c) witnessing a lion eating the carcass of a zebra at Ngorongoro, (d) having a herd of elephants cross the river, walk right up to our vehicle, and cross the road behind us at Tarangire
On my last day, I had a few hours to spare before my flight home and Mary helped to organise a last-minute visit to the Nairobi National Park, in the hopes of seeing a rhinoceros more up close. I was lucky enough to see not 1, but 3 (including a little calf!) within the first 15 minutes of entering the park.
I came with no expectations and left with such incredible memories, which is a testament to Blends of Africa’s dedication to delivering the best service. I can’t wait to recommend Blends to all my family and friends. Asante sana!

Amazing 8-day Great Migration safari
We have been living in Africa on a work assignment for a couple of years, and this is our second safari arranged by Blends of Africa. The previous one, in Uganda/Rwanda was arranged by Blends, but delivered by a different local company, as Blends did not typically have a presence in those countries. The trip reviewed here was both arranged and delivered by Blends, and we are extremely happy with the service provided.
We came to Blends of Africa Adventures via a recommendation from a friend, who had traveled to Tanzania with them. Our contact at Blends was Mary, the amazing Mary! She has been truly a joy to work with. Mary is always prompt to respond, proactive to let us know about potential issues in advance, and extremely knowledgeable about local issues and conditions. Even during the trip, we exchanged messages in real time and got resolution for issues -- and it was Mary checking in on us that prompted the exchange.
One unique feature of Blends is their detailed pricing structure, showing itemized costs for each aspect of the tour, including accommodations, transportation, activities, and fees (including park and concession fees). While other operators allow a certain degree of customization, the transparent pricing with Blends allows clients to make more informed tradeoffs in the planning of the tour.
We did a lot of research on potential activities and accommodation options in preparation for this trip. We were very pleased with the lodges and destinations we experienced. Because safaris tend to be rather expensive, it is sometimes difficult to evaluate the value for money, but we felt that we understood the solid value we were receiving, having considered other options.
Now for the tour itself, the best part. We arrived in Arusha late in the day, and spent the night near the airport. We then spent one night in Tarangire, visiting Tarangire the day before, then Lake Manyara the next day, on the way to Ngorongoro. Lake Manyara did not offer many different wildlife viewing opportunities, but we had the amazing luck to get stuck under a fruit tree, where baboons were feeding above and elephants around us were picking up fruit falling from the trees. We spent an hour surrounded by a herd of elephants, some at times within touching distance to our vehicle, unable to move because of other elephants in front or behind our vehicle. A bit scary at times, the experience was exhilarating.
We spent two nights in Ngorongoro at a lodge on the edge of the crater, with amazing views from our balcony. We were lucky to have clear skies at times, when we had a view of the entire crater, but also moments when we could barely see the grass in front. The trip into the crater was nice, but not as amazing as the rest of the trip. In retrospect, we did not see much more wildlife than later in the safari, and we felt it rather limiting that vehicles had to be out of the crater in the mid-afternoon. Some areas were also quite crowded with safari vehicles. But Ngorongoro is definitely an experience worth having.
The next three nights we spent at two camps, in Central Serengeti, Western, then Central again. We chose to go west, rather than north, and we were lucky that most of the migration was happening between the west and central areas. As such, we saw incredible numbers of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and gazelles. We would often stop to see a large number of animals gathered in one spot, only to then follow the unending trail of others that were streaming into the gathering, as far as the eye could see. On our very first day, we were lucky to see three lion brothers resting just by the side of the main road, in a bush just a few miles after entering the park. We saw lots of other lions along the main roads, some mating, some resting, and others on the prowl. We also saw a couple of leopards, one in a tree with a Thompson gazelle, and one walking through the tall grass. We also saw a mother cheetah with a fuzz-covered baby, trying to hunt while also staying close to her baby. As we were stopped, watching, the cheetah crossed the road right in front of us, looking for a gazelle on the other side. We also saw lots of hippos, innumerable birds and beautiful flowers.
In terms of seeing wildlife, Serengeti was by far the most rewarding part of our trip. While it was nice to see other parks and environments, we could easily have spent a whole week in Serengeti enjoying the wildlife viewing options there.
A few practical points of advice: prepare for lots of flies when close to the migrating animals. Wear colors other than dark blue and black (which both attract tsetse flies). There will be lots of dust, so mind your eyes and nose (bring glasses, and maybe a face mask).
Most importantly, enjoy! On this trip, we have made memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives. For our next trip, we will surely contact Blends of Africa Adventures first.

Value for money, accomodating
My family of five couldnt express our appreciation & gratitude more to the team at Blends Of Africa who made our annual family trip an unforgettable one.
We got in touch with Mary a few months ahead and started making plans. Mary is attentive & accomodating. We could reach Mary at any time we had queries or needed clarification.
Budget wise, we think the proposed itinerary is extremely value for money as none of our friends or peers who did similar safaris came close to the budget we did.
While the costs were kept within a comfortable range for our pockets, the services & programmes were tip top as well. No cutting corners. This is extremely commendable.
The safari experience itself, our guides were Shem (Kenya side) & Ledger (Tanzania side, from a partner company).
They were very punctual every day. The cars were also clean every single day despite going through dust & dirt the previous day. Amazing commitment!
The guides were also very knowledgeable & professional. We got to learn more about the animals and their behaviours.
I would definitely recommend Blends Of Africa to my peers & friends who are interested to do a safari in Kenya & Tanzania.
